Is anyone doing a study of what blood type the people who have died have? The A B AB O thing. O being better of the 4 for not dying.

China did a study, that someone reported on in this forum. I saved a hard copy which had these results:
....Meta-analyses on the pooled data showed that blood group A had a significantly higher risk for COVID-19 (odds ratio-OR, 1.20; 95% confidence interval-CI 1.02~1.43, P = 0.02) compared with non-A blood groups, whereas blood group O had a significantly lower risk for the infectious disease (OR, 0.67; 95% CI 0.60~0.75, P < 0.001) compared with non-O blood groups. In addition, the influence of age and gender on the ABO blood group distribution in patients with COVID-19 from two Wuhan hospitals (1,888 patients) were analyzed and found that age and gender do not have much effect on the distribution....... |
Good news for me, with O blood, but not for my wife, with A blood.
[this is an older result, does anyone have a newer one?]

Told the kids a few weeks ago that the virus targets men more than women because nature knows that women are more important to survival of the species. I said, would you rather have 10 men and 1 woman or 10 women and 1 man survive a pandemic...? Then I see the data about blood types... Wife is O positive. I am A positive. Guess I'm really screwed. LOL.
