I am a nurse, I love my patients. I love and am needed by my own family more. Despite addressing/requesting we increase PPE supplies and conduct some planning my employer ignored my requests a month prior to this blowing up. We will now have nurses caring for patients without adequate PPE, I’ve never felt so frustrated. There is no legal ramifications and after almost 18 years I am ready to quit. I am middle to upper management and hate the thought of sending nurses to do a job without proper PPE. They are scared and have come to me for comfort and reassurance. I am ready for a career change versus knowing these nurses may take this home from performing their jobs, they have elderly loved ones and even special needs children themselves. This is an impossible situation. I want to change companies and careers at this moment. |

I don't blame you. The lack of PPE is mind boggling and inexcusable. That every single hospital administrator is not screaming from the roofs - I just can't wrap my head around it. It's like everyone except the people on the front lines have been brainwashed. |

I work in healthcare (I’m a phlebotomist), and our company has given us one N95 each and told us to keep it in our desks until they say we can use it. We’re face to face with patients and using surgical masks right now. The lack of preparedness across the board in healthcare is appalling. |

You'll be fine, Jacksdad. You are a vampyre after all.. I wondered why I could only speak to you at night. [LOL] Seriously, the lack of masks across the US is inexcusable. Being told not to wear one is even worse. Criminal, in my mind. The horrors of this disease are bad enough, without some jumped-up mini-Hitler telling you to risk your lives because they and their superiors failed to plan ahead. I wish I could help. You are in my thoughts and prayers. |
