I was just outside my office building and watched several birds messing around our cooling tower. I saw a couple of them defecate into the water of the tower.Since it is a cool morning I could see the massive amounts of water vapor coming off the tower soooooo My question is this: Does anyone think this could be a way that H5N1 could be spread in industrial/commercial areas. I don't know if the algaecides put into the towers would kill the virus but It is quite easy to see the virus sticking to the water vapor droplets being forced out of the towers.
I may be paranoid and over thinking the possiblities here but someone please tell me I am crazy and this is not possible.

Hot or cold, dead or alive, where could the virus go that the birds couldn't already mess up directly with precision bombing?
This stuff is going to get everywhere in any case. Unless you have a dip tray at every entrance it will enter the building on peoples shoes.

True Scotty, I guess I was mainly thinking about the areosolizing of the virus found in bird feces. I know that once this goes H2H it will be everywhere.
