Covid-19 vaccine: Allergy warning

Oops!  News from the first roll out of the vaccine in the UK

People with a history of significant allergic reactions should not have the new Covid jab, regulators say. It came after two NHS workers had allergic reactions on Tuesday. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said the advice applies to anyone who has had significant reactions to medicines, food or vaccines.

This puts me back on the fence regarding my wife, who has in the past had reactions to the flu vaccine (although I would class it as mild rather than "significant", ie a couple of days with fever).

Thanks Techno... as I was typing the first comments I realised that her reactions were mild, but sometimes stating things "out loud" helps the thought process (and for me to calm down)

It's being said that if you carry an epi-pen - then best to opt out of the vaccine.

One of my sister's developed Bell's Palsy after her flu jab, so I think she should opt out also.

As for me, I am ready and willing to take the jab!
