DJ-Both links in Dutch. In short; evaluating dossiers of early possible CoViD cases in NL a woman getting in hospital in the south-west part of NL on december 21-after 10 days of symptoms-may be the first CoViD-hospital case in NL.

Unexpected high excess deaths for february 2020 was a reason to have another look at medical records. There were 15 pneumonia deaths at that time...even in a flu-season more then 10 pneumonia deaths for those hospitals would be extreme...Lung-x-rays also may indicate 9 out of 20 cases did have CoViD before the first official NL CoViD case was detected.

According to an ABC news report, the American National Center for Medical Intelligence shared intelligence regarding a potential respiratory disease in Wuhan. This was denied by the Pentagon.[4] On 13 March 2020, the South China Morning Post reported that Chinese government records suggest that the first case of infection with COVID-19 could be traced back to a 55-year-old Hubei resident on 17 November.[5]

On 23 May 2021, The Wall Street Journal reported that newly disclosed U.S. intelligence obtained that three researchers working at the BSL-4 laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Virology were hospitalized with COVID-like symptoms. The report added weight to calls for a broader probe into the theory that the COVID-19 virus could have escaped from a laboratory.[6][7] However, a WHO report states "introduction through a laboratory incident was considered to be an extremely unlikely pathway".[3] Since then, the head of the WHO COVID-19 origins investigative team, Peter Ben Embarek, has stated that the Chinese authorities exerted pressure on the WHO report conclusions, and that he in fact considers an infection via a researcher's field samples to be a "likely" scenario.[8]

On 27 November 2019, two raw sewage samples were collected independently in Santa Catarina, Brazil that would later be detected to contain SARS-CoV-2 (100,000 copies per liter), 66 days in advance of the first confirmed COVID-19 case in the Americas. Subsequent samplings were similarly found to be positive for SARS-CoV-2 on 11 December 2019 and 20 February 2020. These samples possibly show that SARS-CoV-2 was circulating in Brazil at least as early as late November 2019.[9]

A 2021 study of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies suggested that there may have been cases of COVID-19 in France in November 2019.[10] According to research published in January 2021 by the British Journal of Dermatology, a 25-year-old Milan woman visited a hospital in November 2019 with a sore throat and skin lesions. Later analysis of the skin lesion biopsies revealed traces of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA.[11]

But there were also links with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games held from October 18–27, 2019 in WuhanHubeiChina

Angola https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games#List_of_participating_nations or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games#List_of_participating_nations had two athletes there.  DJ-I did read a study indicating "very early Covid cases" were found in Angola...try to find the link...

Another point that keeps coming up from time to time is https://www.coronaheadsup.com/science/origins/sars-cov-2-in-angola-from-23rd-september-2019/ or https://www.coronaheadsup.com/science/origins/sars-cov-2-in-angola-from-23rd-september-2019/

SARS-CoV-2 in Angola from 23rd September 2019

“Our findings demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2-reactive antibodies were detected in 40 out of 442 specimens, as early as September 23, 2019”

This retrospective study on blood specimens from measles patients collected from 23 September 2019 to 28 February 2020, reported from the 17 provinces of Angola, suggests evidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection months before detection of the virus in Luanda, the epicenter of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Angola. Our findings demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2-reactive antibodies were detected in 40 out of 442 specimens, as early as September 23, 2019.

** The graphic artwork seems to be out by 1 year. The paper clearly mentions September 2019, not 2020.**

Peer reviewed research: Early Evidence of Circulating SARS-CoV-2 in Unvaccinated and Vaccinated Measles Patients, September 2019–February 2020

So september 2019...however the linked article;

Materials and Methods: We examined the humoral response against SARS-CoV-2 by using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)-based assay on a combined two-step sandwich enzyme immunoassay method. In total, we received 568 study patients with blood specimens collected from 23 September 2019 to 28 February 2020, 442 sera samples that met the criteria of the study were withdrawn and selected from the overall 568 received samples. In this study, we considered seropositives, patients who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 immunoglobulin G (IgG) and M (IgM) antibodies with the index value > 1.
Results: Of the 442 sera samples that met the criteria of the study, 204 were measles seropositive. Forty out of 204 were confirmed reactive to SARS-CoV-2 viral proteins using IgG and IgM more than 2 weeks before the first reported case in Angola. The humoral response analysis showed significant differences (p = 0.01) between the IgG and IgM indexes in the unvaccinated measles patients. Similarly, a significant difference (p = 0.001) was seen between the IgG and IgM indexes in the vaccinated measles patients.
Conclusion: Here, using the humoral response analysis, we report the identification of early circulation SARS-CoV-2 infection weeks before the first recognized cases in the Republic of Angola.

DJ...the samples are from between september 2019 and february 2020...The study-as far as I see-does NOT indicate first Angola CoViD cases were allready in Angola september 23 2019...

Still-in my opinion-I think it would be welcome to have an open mind on the early start of this pandemic. A tunnelvision excluding possible start outside China is not science...It is very likely bats were involved...but bats are spread around the globe. African bats maybe could have played a role ???

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
