   CDC's weekly flu report [https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/] has pediatric deaths at 188 for the current season, which is almost over. This marks the second worst season for child deaths since reporting became compulsory in 2003.  The worst season was with the swine flu in 2009-2010 and 288 children dead. 

Lets hope the (limited) social distancing being practices due to corvid will mean that the next season will have a low death rate.
