I've been reading the board, but not posting much lately. We have a new puppy (almost 4 weeks now, keeping us all very busy) and 4 baby kittens that the mom died and we are having to bottle feed. In between times I am working (part time), this week we are having vacation bible school at church and I am working it and Saturday I have a yard sale planned. So I'm here, just not posting too much.

ditto the "take a vacation from posting" for me too.
seems like summer brings a whole new rhythm to the season.  not slowing down in the least here at all.  but like others, i have been reading, just not posting.
we will go to the beach for one week, then get back to business with preps.  i went full force for 3 months and really prepared but have slacked off last few weeks.  still grabbing what's on sale at the grocery store and adding to preps constantly.
i have a new problem that i have been dreading.  we have a beloved housekeeper carolla, who we will have to let go at some point should bird flu unleash.  i can't have her coming in and out of our hunkered down household and she won't stay with us (she has three kids of her own)
i just feel bad because we are part of her livlihood=(

life here is chaos too - beginning to get that panic feeling.  So much more I should be doing...

I have taken time to read sections I haven't before and discovered some good ideas.  Promised myself that if I can't get in gear this weekend, I will at least start cutting and pasting some of these things in my prep notebook.

gl all, welcome back
