So there's been some evidence that certain HIV medications, specifically antiretrovirals are having a positive effect on nCOV recovery. Is it specifically only what has been mentioned in the news, or could any antiretroviral be of use possibly when TSHTF? Similar question, there are certain HIV meds that can be taken as preventatives when you know you will be exposed, could they be used to prevent nCOV infection, possibly? Or would nCOV just mutate to get around them?

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort!

Your guess is as good as mine, RedTea.
Chloroquinne and a protease inhibitor have been used as a treatment, but that was a "Hail mary" pass by the doctors with a dying patient - who recovered. Was that the drugs, or just his own immune system finally catching up? We don't know yet. |
