Long story short, I got an inside scoop on acquiring Chloroquine.    I went to online doc website (was recommended by pharmacist) to get prescription.   So I went to  https://www.drsays.com/?fbclid=IwAR1gabd7K-clI-pSGnWhoSfiRs_eNscccVxSadThVkLCLmwFt8her_VzcS0#/.

I explained on phone I don't plan on using it,  and it is solely for "pandemic preparedness".    I also explained I was a member of our forum here and I'm very responsible and knowledgeable with these things.  The Doctor advised, she will send rx to my pharmacy for it, but she can't guarantee they have it.  And sure as hell, an hour later (2 min ago), my pharmacy called and said it's ready for pick up, lol.

Wish i did that one early.   Much cheaper.

120 is probably good.  The Doc was not aware of our findings with it and so she couldn't cover dosage.    That part we will work together on.   So far from what I've read it could be 30 pills per person if infected.  Again, that's phase two and only adding it to preps for now.

Correction:  Not sure if it was a screw-up lol, but it just cost $298 for 12 500gm pills.    SUPER expensive.   Sticking with original site / plan with ordering.    $298 for 12?   Good grief.

Thanks for the info Albert I have 21 days to wait for mine.  They did not give me the quick send option when I spoke to them to confirm.

Verified!  Look at the standard cost for Chloroquine!    It ranges from $15 - $25 a tab.   Have fun with Doc and RX, I just got nailed.   Had it picked up for me.

So why did I pay  like 129.00 for 120 pills?  Ordered from the spot you said to a couple of weeks ago.

Not sure, I guess we got lucky.  That would normally cost $1,200 for 120 250mg  from Doc.

Me too. I ordered as well. They are super expensive at the doctors. I can't believe that price. Somebody's making money on them somewhere!

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

Can't believe I did that though.  Had someone pick them up for me, and she said called and said, "it's $298, are you sure you want them?"  And I said sure, get them.   The problem is that I ordered 100 pills, and when I saw only 12, I said what the heck??    I never would have spent that for 12 pills.  They're 500mg, but still, way too expensive.

Good info, although the first article from 1989 doesn't appear to be about Chloroquine.  The second article is partially about Chloroquine, and the third by NCBI from 15 years ago looks accurate, but based on one case study who was injected with Malaria.

There are potential dangerous side effects to almost every medication on the planet.

Either way, I don't think anyone would take it except for under extreme circumstances.   I know I will be getting info from a doc when / if the time comes.

Also keep in mind, almost anyone who travels to Africa and abroad takes Chloroquine for Malaria, and I believe it is recommended.

Did some quick research on dosage for Chloroquine.  CDC states one  500mg pill per week to prevent malaria.

*edited to correct 1 to one"

They do give it prophylactically to sailors going to Malaria infested regions. (US Navy sailors that is!)

Good info, and yes the military I believe is required to take it in various parts of the world.

Also agree with using is more for preventive measures as the dosages required for an infection are MUCH higher.  Timing will be everything.

Good info on the 1500mg per week.   When the time comes, we're all going to research and beat this thing down to perfection on how to do it all.

No.. not 1500mg per week for prevention.  One (1) 500mg pill per week.  Sorry.. I was paraphrasing what the CDC website was saying...  I realize now it should be written one (not 1)  500mg per week.
