Better yet, tell your accountant you'll mail them ... OR scan them and email anything to him.her. Instruct him to send forms back to you the same way. That's how I'm handling it with my tax accountant! |

I have a theory that people who panic buy won't be sensible with the stash Much food will be wasted because they didn't check the expiry or eaten by the dog. Better still, people will eat more.......because it's there !!. I guess if we run out of money, you can't buy anything anyhow. Sorry for being judgemental but I'm glad I have an ounce of sense. |

Pandemic, it's funny you'd say that about wastage. I was talking to a grocery store manager and she said that she couldn't believe how much they'd sold, that trucks hadn't been able to come in in 2 days (no one at loading docks to load to get truck on road???!!!) and people had already been being rude (downright ignorant) demanding product...in polite quaint lil old Canada! She commented that some of the ones she'd watched grabbing produce etc - that there was no way they could eat it all before spoiling and it would just be wasted. She looked 'smooth on the surface' but you could tell nerves were wearing thin talking to her - I feel sorry for all working direct with public right now (esp retail), not just due to the fact they are at much higher risk of catching this, but also because they have to put up with peoples bs 'entitlement' issues. I tend to say it like I see it - glad I wasn't there when she was getting swore at etc, I would have likely put a foot into it all, and opened my mouth. Any & every time I've dealt with her she's been a nice lady, very professional and doesn't deserve that. Oh and on another side note - a Walmart that opened at 9 am was 'sold out' of TP by 9:05 according to a sign on door, and some one I know who stocks shelves at WM said both the last 2 nights loads arriving smaller then expected (much smaller!). |

We all knew this was going to happen, people fighting over TP, food they will never use purchased (no forethought), people being rude to the grocery store people. I believe that is why we all Prepped for this event. I did not want to be in huge infectious lines trying to get anything, so I am sitting here for the next 4 months able to have almost anything I need especially after my garden is going. Fresh veggies I have to wait for but other than that I am in good shape. WHY because I prepped! People stuck their heads in the sand and now they DEMAND what they want like little babies! I feel sorry for the people who work at all the stores they do not deserve this! |

That may have a grain of truth in it. They will be effectively starving, but with more pasta than will feed an army and enough loo roll to mop up a large lake. IDIOTS!!! |

If you want a loo roll here you have to go to Asda between 3 and 4pm - in person! Delivery comes in at 3, sold out by 4. Forget it if you are SIP. Online orders are filled out early AM. No paper products at all by then. Thankfully, we have stores in the barn and I'm buying vast quantities of napkins - still available, as the hoarders have not woken up to that yet - to stay ahead of the curve. TP is definitely rationed here. |

Hey Graywolf, FluMom here I am also in Colorado...I have not been out to a grocery store since 3/12 and my Kings was very empty on can goods. I have no idea what it looks like today! I hope we do not have hungry people at least my close friends know I will help them if they need anything. People are NOT going to starve at least not in the next 2-3 months. Truck are moving food is being made at canneries so I am not worried. 80% of the people will be just fine and fine fast so everything will keep running. I am so glad you are ready and staying at home. If Albert's Forum has helped you I am happy that is why we have all been here for so many years! |

Got back from Walmart last night.... Almost all of the food is gone. Restockers told me that store hours are being changed and that they limited us to one item of water. got another jug of distilled water for my gf . She needs it for her C pap. Had to go to Dollar tree for a few items but it was cool. Dollar tree is one of the only places in town with anything. Ammo is all gone at Walmart. Got a lot of it 2 months ago. It is going to be hell for those who are not prepared. |

ME163 this is why we all have been prepping for all these years...IT'S SHOW TIME! We all knew the grocery stores would be empty and people running around like mice trying to protect their very vulnerable families. Sorry, I told you so to so many friends and family who are now without. Why I planned with rice and beans and plastic bags to put out if they need food. Packed all that in mylar tubs with O2 absorbers 10 years ago. |

I saw an ugly scene on YouTube at a supermarket in London. At opening time, an army of trolleys trying to rush through a narrow doorway. I mean it was chaos. Screaming, shouting, pushing. No thought to social distancing. I mean it was chaotic shere ignorance on a selfishness level beyond reasoning of the herd mentality😥 |

We all knew this would be what would happen in a Pandemic...we all knew it. That is why most of us are safe in our homes and have plenty of what we need. It is sad...but hopefully stores will get restocked in the U.S. don't know about other countries. I put away beans and rice for my good neighbors if things get really bad. They can survive I also have plenty of spices to give to them to add flavor. Have tons of baggies to pack this all in so I can leave it outside before I call them to come and get it. This is real guys we are all ready so don't feel guilty that we have and others do not. It is what it is! |

My son went to the local Meijer store early this morning. NO rice of any kind. NO meat except for 6 packages of chicken thighs, NO Sambucol except for a few packages of the tablets. NO salted butter. NO pasta except for Rotini. NO canned meat or tuna. But they had oysters and crab. Shelves were all half emptied of other foods. He found 6 cases of his favorite water, so he got 2..the limit... He bought the last 2 jars of peanut butter. They are real low on flour and sugar. The store was open 24/7 and will now be open 8am - 10 pm. 7-8 am for seniors only on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. |

This is AMERICA! We WILL restock shelves it will take time but think about it, 300,000,000 people trying to stock their homes!!! We knew this was going to happen some day that is why we are home and ready for most of us. Some of you new people just got caught in a bad time to try and do what we have done for years. I wish all of you the best in getting your stores in! |

Don’t forget that this situation is extremely fluid. The stores will begin to have trouble restocking the shelves when enough of the workforce faces mandatory SIPs and food production, packaging and delivery become an issue.

It has been interesting to see how the stuff runs out. Then the government blames people for hoarding. I think people are mostly just buying a lot and that is what they should do. I dont get why they focused on toilet paper. I got caught without a few things. We have just one thermometer. I use the wal mart app then just pick it up. Only have to deal with one person. Lots if stuff unavailable. |

Well people are hoarding TP...lord how much do you need! I have had lots for years in my shed but that is long before this virus. Just keep a lot just in case well we are now in Just In Case! I do not consider myself a hoarder, I have 2 large old boxes of Tide, I use pods now but my son needed laundry soap...it is expensive so I gave him one of the old Tides. Having a lot of stuff does not mean you are a hoarder it means you are thoughtful. I agree with you 300 Million people are trying to be ready for at least 2 weeks of SIP and maybe more so the Grocery stores are going to be empty...it is what it is! |

I went into a store BCF, which stands for boating, camping, fishing, in OZ. One staff member came up to greet me and was standing next to me. I noticed her weezing. I said you don't sound well as i stepped back. She said yes I have a chest infection. She says don't worry its not corona. While stepping back further i asked when was she tested... She said no i haven't been tested, but its not corona. Okay... literally drop items and leaving the scene. I could see her face as i left. She was upset. like i didn't believe her.. As i walked out the store i noticed another woman sweeping the floor. She was sick a hell. Very obviously sick. She was blocking my path. What do i do??? Pac-Man! No power pellets in sight! Damn! Exit ASAP They all watched me zig zag out the store. Probably laughing... |

Rumour has it that our local food shop (only one on the island) will close its doors next week, and go to internet shopping. I had a look at the range of goods offered by the shop for internet shopping and they are extremely limited. For example the wife is lactose intolerant and only one kind of standard milk is being offered which will produce explosive stomach problems for her (we have some powdered milk, but not enough). It will be interesting at how our eating habits will have to change |

Edwin, get her some pills on the internet. Not necessarily these: or drops https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Colief-Infant-Drops-15ml-Lactase-Enzyme-Drops-for-Baby-Calming-Colic-Relief/133340334639?epid=19033520041&hash=item1f0bb40a2f:g:48wAAOSwdi5eT6SA also not necessarily this version. That is what I do for hubby. (Also intolerant) I keep the drops in my kitchen and put a few in things like butter and cheese before cooking. Then he just eats with the rest of us. |

ok, I am laughing at this one. Why, because I grew up with one channel on TV , One store to buy food at and it was only open 5 days a week, You had to drive 1 hour to get to a town of any size and the store was only open from noon to 8 at night. It was however, a wonderful place to shop at. I got free candy and a soda from the owner. He had a cat named king who would not let me go and he had live chickens. He would let me play with the toys in the store and gave me matchbox cars once a month. He served in Ww2 and was injured by a mortar attack. He had an artificial leg. he was so funny. |

If you can manage a backpack, it may be more convenient for heavier items or a rolling bag/cart. |

I can't hoosiermom. I had a mild stroke about three years ago that left me with severe balance issues (thank heaven cognitive skills were completely untouched!) I can't carry anything over 10lbs or push anything too heavy (like a rolling cart) without becoming a fall risk. I took my nifty dandy rollator that gives me a lot of freedom for shopping. I can carry bags on the seat, off the handle bars... But the two heaviest items totaling 15 lbs with the other things was just too much for me. Its okay. I have 15lbs of flour in stores. I thought I'd pick some up because my upstairs neighbor is a GREAT buy who helps me out with some things will receive regular care packages of home-made bread and rolls now that we're all home. |

I decided to suit up and check out the Safeway at Ocean Beach here is San Francisco. Shelves were stripped. The produce section was empty but some things were being restocked. Frozen meat gone, cheese and yogurt were gone, Meat section empty but some limited restocking was happening. Seafood counter was empty. There was plenty of chips and bread but paper products were gone. The part that had me shaking my head was the people. There were a few young and middle aged people wearing masks, but large numbers of elderly people who seemed completely oblivious to the risks with no masks, hand sanitizer, or any precautions. Maybe 20% of us had masks and gloves. Took some pictures and will upload them when I figure out how to get them from my phone to my computer lol. That is the last time I will go out to any store for the next 3-4 months or so. QP |
