On Thursday, Musk signalled that plans for production were already underway, tweeting: "We're working on ventilators, even though I think there will not be a shortage by the time we can make enough to matter."

In all honesty, ethanol-based sanitizers are most effective against vegetative bacterial cells that contaminate hospitals - MRSA, VRSA, etc.  They are usually ineffective against most viruses.

Washing with soap and water is the best option, and there are some commercial disposable cloths that work great for cleaning the hands.  I use these (top shelf), keep cans in our cars & carry some in my pocket in a zip-lock bag.  Proven to inactivate corona virus, says Clorox.
