2020 Pentagon study: Flu vaccines increase risk of coronavirus by 36%

Examining non-influenza viruses specifically, the odds of coronavirus in vaccinated individuals were significantly higher when compared to unvaccinated individuals with an odds ratio (association between an exposure and an outcome) of 1.36. In other words, the vaccinated were 36% more likely to get coronavirus.

I wonder how many who died of or have had severe cases of COVID19 had their flu shot?

There must be statistics to compare those who do get a flu-shot and those who did not. Did the flu-shot+ group get more often Covid19 ? Did they get it more severe ? Or did the shot create more vulnerability but less complications ? There is also enough data for those who died.

On the other hand; people who DO get a flu shot-in some countries-are those with healthproblems or at age. So you have to correct the statistics to get realistic results. (The vaccinated group may be more at risk by health, age or work-that could explain the higher number of cases).

I am not sure who would have those stats but in the middle of all this mess I bet we don’t find out about this for a long while.

Josh, I think your concerns about the validity of the report are accurate.

Here in Finland, when the swine flu was at its peak I was unable to get a flu vaccine as they had all been reserved for those in the risk categories, and by the time the vaccine was available for the general public the swine flu was on the wane.   [As time has passed, I am now in one of the risk groups - by age rather than by medical condition]

This Sars-Cov2 virus is hitting the same groups who are at risk from the flu.

Me too.

The people who start out oldest/weakest/sickest, are more likely to get a flu shot.  They are also more likely to die of other things.

This is absolute bunk!

Why the test study didn't just include the elderly. In fact they were not represent as the majority even when the age group that included them started at age 36.
