I'm 68 years old. I have not gone out since the middle of March. My children have been doing the grocery shopping. I have doctor appointments and medical tests scheduled for the summer but I'm so afraid I don't think I can make myself to go to them. I did have a dentist appointment at the beginning of April but the dentist office called and cancelled the appointment. She said they were only going to do emergency type appointments. It was fine with me since I probably would have called them and cancelled it myself. Anyone else afraid to go to your medical appointments? I'm afraid to go anywhere not only to doctor appointments. |

I think you should go to your medical appointments if the office is open. Covid 19 is not the only thing that can kill you. Just take precautions. Too many people are putting off important medical care. Find out if your provider can facilitate virtual visits if you absolutely cannot go in person. One of your children can surely help you set that up if necessary. |

Call your doctors office and speak to nurse tell her about your fear, they probably will have safeguards in place. |

Our medical appointments are all being cancelled by our providers. So it may not be an issue. I have asthma and I have barely gone out also. I have gone out fishing and to the lake, out for drives, occasionally to the store (wearing PPE). Better safe than sorry. I know 5 people that have/had covid-19, 1 died, 1 has been in a medically induced coma for several weeks, the others are recovered. |
