I wanted to make a 1000 mile drive from the Washington DC area to Northern Wisconsin. Realistically, what would my likelihood of getting sick be, if I drove straight through and didn't stop at any hotels or rest areas? The town I wanted to visit is very rural, only 7 covid cases in the entire county so far. But, I'd have to drive past several major cities on the way up. |

If I had to do such a drive, I would be sure to stop for gas in a rural area and not in a big city. Even then I would be cautious, wearing a mask and maybe gloves. Cleaning up well afterwords. The biggest danger though, is going to be bathrooms. Flushing can spread droplets in the air and you won’t know when was the last time someone flushed. 1,000 miles is a long way to go without a bathroom. I am not sure how to handle that problem. |

These are becoming pretty popular right now. A 5 gal. bucket will suffice instead of that contraption. |

Just use commonsense - sanitize after you touch anything, take all the food and drink you'll need, socially distance and mask up around others and you'll be fine. Good luck going 1000 miles without using a bathroom - I'd be lucky to make it through the first hour |
