Rumblings of NYC shutting down non-essential services again when we reach 3% infection rate.  We're presently at a rolling average of 2.9%.

I've made a pedicure appointment for tomorrow and hair appt. on Saturday.  I'm not making THAT mistake again...

Everything else is done. This is just the butter on the bread.  But, Cuomo did broadcast warnings that things would get bad in the next two or three weeks and sent out the yellow flag warnings about shut-downs.  So yes.. safety is the priority which is why I'm doing this now.

As far as my salon.. I stopped dying my hair years ago and let my natural silver speak.   This is just my semi-annual haircut (I just do a bob.. nothing fancy)   I lived most of this year in a ponytail because it was almost a year before I was able to get a trim and I'm trying to avoid that again.  ;)

The toes.. well... just ask your wife.  She'll tell you!

Funny thing about Giuliani... Reports are he used mascara to darken his side burns.  If that was mascara it was really cheap mascara!  But he wouldn't be the first.

Carbon, thanks for the laugh!

I had had my hair cut in February, before Covid really exploded.  By the time July rolled around, I looked pretty scruffy, so I bought haircutting scissors, clippers and a couple mirrors, and learned how to cut my own hair -- the number of YouTube videos that show you how to cut your own hair have exploded right along with Covid this year.  I do OK except it's hard to get the back.

That should look good with the "covid toes".

It would, but the nail salon I go to is strictly adhering to the state-wide rules and then some.  By appt. only.  Only 10 customers in a salon that could service 40.  Nail techs wear masks, face shields and gloves.  Foot basins are used with plastic disposable liners and are disinfected.  All tools are cleaned by autoclave.  And they are constantly cleaning with bleach solution.  And they have plastic sheeting set up around each chair like a cubicle.  I bring my own polish.
