We are in the midst of a pandemic that has killed nearly 600,000 Americans. Yet, American Congressional Members appear to be more interested in establishing their credentials as the most politically correct, rather than quickly confirming someone who has the scientific credentials to solve at least some of the problems that represent an existential threat to the US. Vaccine vs. Strains The mRNA vaccines created by Pfizer and Moderna have been unqualified successes. These vaccines are saving our lives and our economy. We would be in deep trouble, right now, without them. |

Dr. John Campbell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVo0pVC9Swk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVo0pVC9Swk had a video a.o. on differences between the US and UK in meeting after two vaccinations...in the US it seems to be OK to meet another outside the household-if (s)he had the vaccinations+2 weeks..in the UK it is NOT because of other variants that still may spread. Also sequencing is an issue; Iceland, 78.8% Australia, 60.3% New Zealand, 48.5% Denmark, 20.2% Taiwan, 16% UK, 8.7% Norway, 5.6% Vietnam, 5.5% US, 1%India 0.06% And yes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lineage_B.1.617#Statistics or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lineage_B.1.617#Statistics , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lineage_P.1#Statistics or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lineage_P.1#Statistics the US has over 100 of the India-variant, over 2500 of the P1 variant...with 1% of cases sequenced and limited testing... The stop on travel from India came to late to stop the spread...history repeats itself... |

I am guessing that allowing people to meet after having the 2nd vaccine is a calculated policy designed to encourage more people to get the vaccine. In Ohio, US, the policy is now that someone who has been fully vaccinated +2 weeks, will not have to quarantine if they are exposed to the virus. So if a student is exposed to the virus, but is vaccinated, they can still attend the big game, or prom, or graduation, or whatever. I get why they are doing this. The number of people being vaccinated each day is dropping off rapidly. The people who are afraid of the virus have been vaccinated, so now they are trying to incentivize the rest of the population to get it. Only about 40% of Ohioans have had their first shot. I understand the logic behind it, but I still have mixed feelings about it. |

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/us-coronavirus-not-reaching-herd "And then with the winter .. we have a big resurgence, maybe we have variants coming in from other countries, and we could start this whole process all over again and have another huge pandemic come the winter." [snip] It's going to take us that much longer to get back to life as normal, to stop having to wear masks for our protection, if people don't get vaccinated and we don't have equitable distribution of vaccines," infectious diseases specialist Dr. Celine Gounder told CNN on Sunday. |

Carbon...I wonder of It is signs of a plot to manipulate the American "right" to bring about the depopulation of North America, I would have thought that at least the religious-right would have seen the effect from Israel and so would want to follow that path (ie high rates of vaccination leading to rapid reduction of cases and deaths). |

I do wonder if the religious people who don't believe in evolution, are driving this, they seen unable to grasp the concept of mutations/evolution, Rather deny it , because it goes against their doctrine, I mean most of these people believe that dinosaurs and people existed at the same time ,and we were created as we are now......, So to say a virus evolves/mutates is like talking Martian to them...... I say that from working with two religious people, who seem very ignorant of genetic matters, the one person white South African ,seems to think Vitamin Did made in your eyes, thinks I'm insane for suggesting that VitD is made through Sunlight hitting your skin ,in a county where there is bright sunshine the skin needs to absorb less ,hence dark skinned folks..... Take care all 😷😉 |

It's not the "American right". Although, they are gullible enough to swallow what the Russian troll farms feed them attempting to destabilize the west. |
