Putin mocked: Ukraine claim Russian generals dying due to Moscow using tactics from '1917'

RUSSIA is "fighting like it's 1917", which is leading to a bizarrely high number of deaths among its generals, a Ukrainian source claimed.

According to Markiyan Lubkivsky, a spokesperson for the Ukraine Ministry of Defence, "at least 15 senior Russian commanders have been killed in the field". The tally was later amended to 16, including five named colonels and four lieutenant colonels. Though not independently verified, the death rate among Vladimir Putin's senior military figures seriously questions the efficiency behind the Kremlin's strategy. Akin to the toughest days of World War Two, the toll is "really disruptive" to Moscow's goals,

Revealed: The monstrous Russian general behind the attack on a Ukrainian railway station that was branded a 'crime against humanity' after it killed at least 50 civilians - including five children - who were fleeing Kremlin's atrocities

A fearsome Russian general has been linked to the deadly railway station strike that killed dozens of fleeing civilians that was branded a 'crime against humanity' within the international community.

Western officials believe Captain General Aleksandr Dvornikov, a Russian commander who oversaw devastation in Syria, is likely to have ordered yesterday’s fatal air strike on the station in Kramatorsk.

Graphic images on Friday from the eastern Ukrainian city showed bodies strewn across the floor, lying amongst luggage and children's prams outside the city's busy station.

Some had already been put into green body bags, while other photos showed smoke rising from the building as firefighters rushed to the scene. Ukraine claims around 300 were injured by the blast.

The wreckage of the large Tochka-U missile was left lying on the grass outside the station showed white Russian text written down the side of its casing reading: 'For (our) Children' - a revenge message from the suspected pro-Moscow soldiers that launched it.

It comes as France branded suspected Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian refugees at a railway station a 'crime against humanity' after at least 50 people including five children were killed in yet another atrocity that has sparked international condemnation.

Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told France 5 television that 'these crimes cannot remain unpunished' as he called for the perpetrators to be hauled before the International Criminal Court at The Hague.

Across the Atlantic, President Joe Biden accused Russian warmonger Vladimir Putin of carrying out a 'horrific atrocity' against civilians fleeing Moscow's bombs at Kramatorsk railway station in the east, where Kremlin forces are regrouping to launch a massive offensive.

Moscow and Kyiv have both accused each other of carrying out the attack, with Russia's defence ministry calling allegations it had carried out the attack 'absolutely untrue' while state media tried to shift the blame onto Ukrainian troops.

Britain could start sanctioning Russian troops and generals suspected of committing war crimes in Ukraine, the policing minister has said.

Speaking on Sky News show Sophy Ridge On Sunday, Kit Malthouse said:

While that is ongoing we can take action domestically around sanctions we are able to put on individuals, including combatants, leading generals and others involved in it, to signal our recognition of their part in this dreadful, dreadful assault upon a free democratic country. We are putting as much support into the conflict as we possibly can to support the Ukrainians in their fight, we will do the same to bring those to justice who have perpetrated some truly awful crimes during this dreadful time.”

Asked about Boris Johnson’s surprise visit to Kyiv on Saturday, he added: “I think it symbolised the support and the leadership that we are trying to show across the world as we seek a victory for Ukraine.”

Sir Geoffrey Nice QC, who led the prosecution of former Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic at the International Criminal Tribunal, has called for Russia to be kicked off the UN Security Council – or be stripped of veto powers.

Speaking on Times Radio, he said:

A very important step that should be taken is to kick Russia off the security council, or withdraw its veto, or in some other way stop it from having the power to stop itself being tried. That power, just think about this, is the equivalent of Hitler being given the veto power in 1944 to say who would be tried at Nuremberg in 1946.”

He added: “Saying that the present system is a bit broken or incomplete doesn’t mean to say we should not put all our effort into ensuring that it is improved...

“Another way is to ensure that after this conflict ends that identified Russian potential defendants are handed over by Russia.”

The international community may be more willing to take the step now, he said, because the Russian invasion of Ukraine has shaken the world by bringing it to the brink of nuclear disaster and forcing it to look at the shortcomings of the current system.

OPINION -- By: Ben Norton

 • Source: Al Mayadeen Net

The US-led NATO military alliance has made it clear that it is willing to fight to the last Ukrainian in order to bleed Russia and advance Western geopolitical interests.

In a shockingly blunt admission, The Washington Post acknowledged that some NATO member states want "Ukrainians to keep fighting, and dying" in order to prevent Russia from making political gains.

In an April 5 report on peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, the major US newspaper disclosed that NATO is afraid that Kiev may give in to some of Moscow's demands.

The Washington Post wrote explicitly: "For some in NATO, it’s better for the Ukrainians to keep fighting, and dying than to achieve a peace that comes too early or at too high a cost to Kyiv and the rest of Europe."

Anonymous Western diplomats emphasized that "there are limits to how many compromises some in NATO will support to win the peace," and that they would rather prolong the war in Ukraine if they can prevent Russia from having its security concerns met.

The newspaper said that NATO members are desperate not to give "Russian President Vladimir Putin any semblance of victory," and are more than willing to force Ukrainians into the meat grinder to do so.

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan noted that the administration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is closely coordinating with Washington, and is in "near-daily contact" with the White House. It is evident who is really in charge.

The newspaper likewise revealed that the US military has more than 100,000 troops deployed in Europe.

The Washington Post has a close relationship with the US government. The newspaper is owned by $200-billionaire Jeff Bezos, one of the richest human beings in history.

Bezos is also the founder and executive chairman of mega-corporation Amazon, which has tens of billions of dollars worth of contracts with the CIA, Pentagon, NSA, FBI, ICE, and other US government agencies.

If The Washington Post is disclosing this information about NATO, with quotes from senior White House officials, it clearly got the green light from its handlers in Washington.

This report is a semi-official confirmation that NATO sees Ukrainians as mere cannon fodder in its imperial proxy war on Russia.

In fact, some Western officials have stated this openly.

A former senior State Department official, hard-line right-wing war hawk Eliot A. Cohen, boasted in an article in The Atlantic magazine that the "United States and its NATO allies are engaged in a proxy war with Russia."

He effused proudly, "They are supplying thousands of munitions and hopefully doing much else—sharing intelligence, for example—with the intent of killing Russian soldiers," adding, "the more and faster the better."

The State Department veteran declared that the "stream of arms going into Ukraine needs to be a flood."

This is exactly what NATO member states are doing: flooding Russia's neighbor with weapons.

Instead of supporting peace talks with Russia, the United States and European Union have been actively escalating the war, sending Ukraine billions of dollars worth of weapons, including tens of thousands of anti-tank missiles, thousands of anti-aircraft missiles, and hundreds of kamikaze drones, as well as tanks and armored vehicles.

What goes unmentioned is how US and European arms corporations have heavily profited from the war. The stocks of private military contractors skyrocketed after Russia sent its troops into Ukraine on February 24, as Western governments pledged to substantially increase their military expenditure.

The Joe Biden administration immediately delivered $350 million in weapons in late February, before pledging an additional $13.6 billion in aid for Ukraine in March, of which $6.5 billion in military support.

The foreign ministers of NATO met at the military alliance's headquarters in Brussels on April 6 and 7 and pledged to escalate the war in Ukraine even further.

The Western politicians were joined by representatives of several non-NATO members, including Japan, South Korea, Georgia, Finland, Sweden, Australia, and New Zealand.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba traveled to Brussels for the meeting, where he dispelled any doubt that NATO wants more war instead of peace.

"I came here today to discuss three most important things: weapons, weapons, and weapons," Kuleba summarized.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg similarly declared, "After the invasion, allies stepped up with additional military support, with more military equipment, and it was a clear message from the meeting today that allies should do more and are ready to do more to provide more equipment, and they realize and recognize the urgency."

Stoltenberg boasted that direct NATO military support for Ukraine goes back to 2014 and that tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers were trained by NATO in the past eight years, long before Russia invaded.

NATO transparently prefers that Ukrainians keep sacrificing their lives in hopes of weakening and destabilizing Russia.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians who think peace should be the solution, not more war, face dire consequences.

A Ukrainian negotiator who had participated in peace talks with Russia, Denys Kyreyev, was murdered, reportedly by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), which is notorious for being influenced by neo-Nazis and other far-right extremists.

All of this extreme violence and warmongering flies directly in the face of NATO's claim to be a supposed "defensive" alliance.

The reality is NATO has never been devoted to defense, let alone democracy. Among the military alliance's founding members in 1949 was the fascist dictatorship of Portugal.

During the first cold war, NATO supported former Nazi collaborators and fascists in its infamous Operation Gladio. With NATO support, far-right extremists carried out terrorist attacks in Europe to try to repress the left-wing, especially during Italy's notorious Years of Lead.

When the first cold war ended, NATO continued to expand onto Russia's borders, repeatedly violating promises made by the United States, Britain, and France that the military alliance would not move "one inch eastward" after the reunification of Germany in 1990.

In bombing campaigns in the 1990s, NATO destroyed and carved up the former Yugoslavia, which no longer exists as a country.

Then NATO helped the United States launch its war in Afghanistan in 2001, and maintained a joint military occupation until 2021.

In 2011, NATO waged war on Libya, the most prosperous country in Africa. The Western military campaign shattered Libya's state. Foreign fossil fuel corporations soon pillaged the North African nation's massive oil reserves.

Still today, in 2022, Libya has no unified central government. It does, however, have open-air slave markets for Sub-Saharan African refugees.

The ruins of Libya, Afghanistan, and former Yugoslavia show what NATO truly offers the world.

And the US-led military alliance is now prepared to sacrifice Ukraine to advance the interests of Washington and Wall Street.

DJ Only question is why do they-politics-get away with it ???

https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/true-inflation-rate-132-censorship-resistant-price-tracker-built-blockchain or https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/true-inflation-rate-132-censorship-resistant-price-tracker-built-blockchain ; With the official inflation (CPI) rate at +7.9% year-over-year - a 40-year-high - one could be forgiven for believing that the government's statistics are to be trusted this time (or why would they have 'allowed' it to reach such a high level?).

-

While the Truflation index is based on the same calculation model as the widely used CPI, it is different because it measures and reports inflation changes daily by using current real-market price data from sources like Zillow, Penn State and Nielsen, among others.

About 40% of the data that is being looked at is the same goods basket that the Bureau of Labor Statistics uses. The remaining 60% is being substituted with data from other sources.

So where does that leave us... what is the "real" inflation rate? The Truflation Dashboard - which runs on Chainlink and is therefore accessible and visible for everyone - says 13.2% (with Food costs up 26.5%)!

That's quite a difference from the government-sanctioned 7.9%...

Srinivasan sums up this 'shift' perfectly (and rather ominously for the centralized state): "More broadly, the monopoly of truth is upstream of the monopoly of violence. A state that can establish what is true ("WMDs in Iraq") is a state that can justify violence. It is in this sense that decentralized cryptographic truth is the ultimate check on every abusive state... "

DJ,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q6QzGLbdHg or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q6QzGLbdHg Alexander Marcouris (AM) ; Mariupol Mystery Deepens as Kiev Tries Failed Evacuation by Ship, Storm Clouds Gather over Global Economy News Topic 461

-Ukraine now trying to get the (Ukraine) command of the Azov-regiment/bataljon  away from Mariupol...at least that seems to be a widespread theory. AM asking if neo-nazi's have that much power in Kiev that Ukraine is willing to lose at least 5 helicopters and one ship for that goal. Do neo-nazi's have a "grip" on Zelensky ?

-Phase Two-in East and South Ukraine (Charkov and Nikolayev-to use the old USSR/Russian names) has already started (NATO may have missed it...)

DJ Two main goals I think; enclosure of most of Ukraine forces (and if need be destruction of it) in Eastern Ukraine and control of all of the Black Sea coast...Another Russian goal will be (DJ) stopping supplies reaching Ukraine front lines

-Further escalation of the sanction war-will also include China further destroying the global economy. A CEO of Bosch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSH_Hausger%C3%A4te or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSH_Hausger%C3%A4te in Germany warning against this sanction war...AM is right in stating "it is late for that"...

DJ-Major non-military companies may become a growing factor against the "sanction war" because this economic warfare will destroy their companies with tens of millions of people losing their job and hyperinflation...You have to stop the economic war before it becomes self destruction...

But it may take some time before our "leaders" realize the damage they are doing...

-Pakistan;

Never have such crowds come out so spontaneously and in such numbers in our history, rejecting the imported govt led by crooks.

and

Across Pak & abroad massive crowds of Pakistanis from all walks of life came out today on one call of  to protest US conspiracy of regime change in Pakistan aided by their local abettors to bring a subservient, corrupt pol mafia, to power. #IstandwithImranKhan

DJ, some remarks;

-Imran Khan "has a big ego" may be working for self-interest more then for the interest of Pakistan (maybe not realizing that...another tunnelvision). The last thing Pakistan needs is a civil war.

-China may be willing to do bussiness with the military-and the military elite has no problems with that...However doing bussiness with China is not what the US "masters" want them to do...DJ-I think the Us-biden c.s. may have the crazy idea of NATO membership also for Pakistan ? Maybe even starting a war between Pakistan and ALL of it neighbours; Iran, Afghanistan, China, India ...sort of Ukraine-scenario for Pakistan ? Sending in weapons, sharing intel but -like in Ukraine-limit losses in western (wo)men in uniform. Pakistan ending up doing-like Ukraine-the "dirty work" for the US...(and the EU as always in conflict with each other...)

-Since Imran Khan has widespread support, the military/elite may find US "plans/insanity" would destroy Pakistan I would not be surprised if Imran Khan-or someone from his group-returned to power... (DJ-China may be trying to arrage that behind the scenes...Khan was in Moscow doing bussines for Pakistan...Like India, or the EU/US Pakistan may need Russia for some imports...

DJ-Pakistan is in the "same boat" as India. TIP (Turkey, Iran, Pakistan) also wants to keep "some distance" from the Ukraine war but also do not trust the US...Both Turkey/Iran and China condemned the US coup in Pakistan...they are major economic partners for Pakistan-the military are not likely to ignore that "for US bribes"...

-https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/china-undercuts-sanctions-russia-where-are-consequences or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/china-undercuts-sanctions-russia-where-are-consequences ;

 • "For China... the Ukrainian crisis provided a unique opportunity to increase its access to Russia's natural resources, particularly gas, gain contracts for infrastructure projects and new markets for Chinese technology, and turn Russia into a junior partner in the relationship between the two countries." — Report by the European Council on Foreign Relations, February 2015.

 • In addition to undermining sanctions through the commodities trade, China is possibly also helping Russia hide its money.

 • Despite all of the above, the Biden administration continues to talk about China as if proof were still needed that it is undercutting sanctions on Russia.

 • China has clearly been giving material help to Russia. So where are the "consequences"?

 • The closest that the U.S. has come to going beyond words is the announcement, along with other G7 leaders, of an "enforcement initiative" to prevent Russia from evading sanctions, but it is -- presumably deliberately -- unclear what that initiative actually entails.

 • "The trade and the purchase of long-term energy supplies undercut the sanctions, because it shows Putin he has got somebody in his corner for the next five years or more." — Michael Pillsbury, author of The Hundred-Year Marathon, Fox News, March 21, 2022.

 • The Biden administration, by repeatedly threatening "consequences" and issuing "warnings" to China, "if" it helps Russia undercut sanctions, merely continues to project indecision, weakness and lack of leadership ...[and] will only result in the additional loss of credibility and the further degradation of U.S. deterrence to the detriment of the West.

DJ For now "China is winning the Ukraine War"....But also on the longer term "the west" has NO strategy to deal with that !

In my opinion confrontation politics by "the west" (most US) in the last three decades resulted in "RIC" Russia-Iran-China, CPEC, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor etc...A total lack of wisdom, diplomacy, ended up now in even India being pushed towards Russia, China...because they do not follow US "saction orders against Russia"...

A western tunnel vision became a dead-end street...

-------------------------------

DJ-At the end I expect "the west" may get "leaders" who realize you need diplomacy...But undoing the damage done-by that west "exceptionalism/racism" -may take decades...Asia may not "need" the west...At the end it is the west trying to stop Asia getting independent, enforcing the US$, enforcing trade with the west because WE-in the west-need things from "the East"...

The West needs Asia much more the Asia needs us...(The EU did buy Russian energy for almost 40 billion, US buying Russian-Ural-oil and Uranium...The West is buying more from Russia-very likely-then China-still-is able to do...A lot of pipelines from Russia to China are still under construction...also China did diversify its energy supplies..buying also even coal from Australia (and most likely North Korea), oil/gas from Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran...major partner in Latin America/Africa oil/gas...So-YES China may be able to make "good deals" with Russia now-but a lot of Russian exports still going west because of pipelines, contracts (for grain) are with the west !!!).

Not understanding that basics has a very high price...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ,

French elections https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssWDsZ-Hsbk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssWDsZ-Hsbk (AM-Alexander Mercouris, in short; Macron did get 27,6%, Le Pen 23% and main left wing just over 20%.

DJ, Le Pen took over the party from her father-seen as a right wing hard liner with a history in the Algerian war of independence. She herself moved the party more towards a nationalistic standpoint-with lots of "left wing ideas" on the socio-economic front. AM does see similarity with Charles de Gaulle for that matter. (Fighting Germany in World War Two-after the war de Gaulle himself conservative did get communists in his government. In France 1940-44 communist were the major factor against the nazi's...France had a lot of "pro-nazi types"... In many European countries the shadow of World War Two horrors are not far away...)

So if the second round Le Pen will present herself as "nationalistic" but with a major role for the government in socio-economic aspects, Macron neo-liberal, pro NATO, pro EU maybe Le Pen could win...april 24.

It would be a (highly needed) shock for both the EU and NATO...maybe stop the highspeed race on a highway to hell...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccF4sajntXk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccF4sajntXk also AM on Austrian PM visiting Putin...Austria gets 80% of its gas from Russia..AM thinks Germany may also be playing a role in this visit. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/unfriendly-visit-austrian-chancellor-first-eu-leader-meet-putin-war-began or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/unfriendly-visit-austrian-chancellor-first-eu-leader-meet-putin-war-began

DJ-The EU was willing to support Ukraine-even if most of the EU was not willing to get Ukraine in NATO or the EU (that idea is a US, UK idea...leaving a major long term bill on revitilizing Ukraine for the EU).  HOWEVER !!!! It was NOT an EU idea to go for regime change in Moscow ! Major EU companies are very unhappy with the sanction war...they get energy, raw materials from Russia, are very active in Asia...EU politicians made a mess of their interests and these companies are now trying to "limit the damage"...

In the US (UK less I think) some companies make a lot of profit out of wars...US "foreign policy" weakens the EU, Russia, China...is the idea...

DJ-We most likely would not have been in this very major crisis if trump was president...maybe a lot of people do not like him...but he kept the US, the world, out of the disaster we are now moving to...

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/reports-chemical-weapons-dropped-in-mariupol-false-flag or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/reports-chemical-weapons-dropped-in-mariupol-false-flag  NATO sponsored nazi's fighting in the basement of a steel factory (with no doubt also lots of chemicals) HT reports also a bio-lab https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/fire-trucks-being-brought-to-ukraine-asovstal-steel-plant-will-pump-water-into-underground-hideouts-to-drown-3-000-hold-out-nazis or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/fire-trucks-being-brought-to-ukraine-asovstal-steel-plant-will-pump-water-into-underground-hideouts-to-drown-3-000-hold-out-nazis falling into Russian hands...

DJ, If NATO was very closely linked (again) with support for nazi's/fascists and Russia also would find bio-labs that would be "very unwelcome" for NATO, the US...

DJ-Looking at the last 100 years of global history after the Russian 1917 (bolsjevik) revolution-and killing of the czar-family; European royals and Europe/US financial elite wanted revenge for their losses. The Royals did see familymembers getting killed but also had shares in Russian railways, oil (Baku a.o.) and land. (=grain)..Russia has a lot of energy and raw materials wich was something "western investors" wanted to control...Time man-of-the-year 1938 was hitler...

The same powers that supported hitler also-later on-supported NATO...with lots of "old-NAZI supporters" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Luns#Early_life or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Luns#Early_life  ending up in leading NATO positions...

https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202204/1259020.shtml or https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202204/1259020.shtml from China ; Pro-Russia protesters rallied in Germany on Sunday, the country's significant Russian-speaking population demanding an end to the discrimination it says it has suffered since the crisis began in Ukraine.

Germany is home to 1.2 million people of Russian origin and 325,000 from Ukraine. Authorities fear the conflict could be imported into Germany and the protests used to promote Moscow's narrative.

DJ, this Ukraine crisis also again is showing Germany is still divided..the former East Germany in many ways taking a different view (on both the pandemic and Russia).

The EU-in general-is very divided. There is discussion on Finland, Sweden joining NATO-wich will worsen further EU-Russian relations...while the EU is not the one that is pushing for war...the US (and bojo) is...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/something-rep-jim-jordan-suggests-hunter-biden-indictment-could-be-coming or https://www.zerohedge.com/political/something-rep-jim-jordan-suggests-hunter-biden-indictment-could-be-coming is not much in European news...however the "elite" is aware of it. And may get the feeling they are being used in a biden"family affair"...

So basically, the EU needs energy from Russia, want a working Iran-deal (trump broke that) the EU wants, needs, trade with Asia...and may get more and more a feeling of unease on "how events are going"...Starting World War Three to save the US$ is NOT a European interest !

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Towards the end of a talk with Gonzalo Lira former Marine officer and UN Inspector Scott Ritter disputes the potential for escalation. The Pentagon, he says, knows the real situation on the ground and that the Ukrainian army will lose the war. Neither NATO, nor the U.S. nor single countries like Poland have their forces configured in a way that would allow them to successfully wage war against Russia. They would need more time to get ready than Russia will need to win the war in Ukraine.

Ritter predicts that the Pentagon will overrule any escalation the Ukraine warmongers in the State Department and National Security Council may plan and that those responsible for the current mess, Victoria Nuland, Anthony Blinken and Jake Sullivan, will get silenced or removed after the midterms.

I hope he is right.

DJ, Also biden has to go ! Changes need to be made NOW ! Not wait till november...The US is destroying itself...https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/how-the-us-does-diplomacy.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/how-the-us-does-diplomacy.html

What distinguishes diplomats from courtiers, securocrats, and other bureaucrats in a national capital is a reliance on empathy: the ability to see the world through other eyes and to use this insight to induce others to see their interests the way the diplomat wants them to see them. It takes more than a diplomatic passport, position, or title to make someone a “diplomat.” Diplomacy, like other skilled work, requires knowhow gained through training, mentoring, on-the-job experience, and awareness of historical precedents. It is a calling and a role, not a job title.

Yet diplomacy remains at best a proto-profession in the United States, thanks to the uniquely American reliance on the political spoils system to staff even key national security functions. This makes diplomatic appointments to benefit appointees and their political parties rather than the country. It thereby enshrines amateurism and incompetence. As the New York Herald-Tribune put it in 1857, in the United States “diplomacy is the sewer through which flows the scum and refuse of the political puddle. A man not fit to stay at home is just the man to send abroad.” Only one thing has changed about this in the last 165 years. Female campaign donors and celebrities now compete with men for appointments to what they imagine are ambassadorial sinecures in plummy places abroad, leaving seedy and dangerous places to lifers.

DJ, will the US now after China also sanction India because India does not follow "US orders"?

FINAL UPDATE --

It turns out that the "reports" of this "Chemical attack" originated from . . . . wait for it . . . . the Azov Battalion which is stuck in the Asovstal Steel Mill, and under siege from Russian forces.   It appears to have been a blatantly fraudulent claim, designed to instigate the entry of NATO into the Ukraine situation.

The claim was repeated and re-circulated by the press and PR machine backing Ukraine.  That's why reports "flooded-in."

Here's the "rub."   If NATO, which appears to be run by sociopaths and psychotics, CHOOSES to treat this report as legitimate and CHOOSES to enter Ukraine, then it's war with Russia and the nuclear missile will fly.

None of us knows right now if NATO sociopaths and psychotics will try to put lipstick on this pig of a report, and treat it as legitimate.  Until we know, there is very real danger that this will be the match that ignites world war.

Isn’t the Iraq/Saddam trick with the “chemical weapons” a little out of date?

Or they are hoping that we don’t remember how the fake war started over there?

Well, some of us remember.

DJ With biden as US President the US does not need foreign enemies any longer...it has a major danger in the White House !!!

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/british-mercenary-cossackgundi-surrenders-to-russian-forces-in-mariupol-ukraine or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/british-mercenary-cossackgundi-surrenders-to-russian-forces-in-mariupol-ukraine

We have received reports that British "volunteer" Aiden Aslin, better known as "CossackGundi", and other international "volunteers" in the Ukrainian Marines, have chosen to lay down their arms to Russian forces around Mariupol, Ukraine, after running out of food and ammunition.

A source close to Aiden, who previously served with him in the YPG (Syria) spoke with him by phone and told us "I just spoke with Aiden.  His unit is out of food and ammo. They have no other option but to surrender.  He said he loves you all."

He is surrendering to Russians which is only slightly better than surrendering to Chechyns.

He's upset.  Likely he knows he's going to spend the rest of his life in some Russian prison.   Worse, for him, is that once Russia tells the world they have him, the country of Syria is likely to issue an arrest warrant for the mercenary role he played in THAT country.   This likely translates to life in prison not only in Russia, but in Syria as well.

Hal Turner Analysis

THIS is what happens to British forces who actually believe the mentally retarded British government.  The people inserted into government positions are such incredible fools, and such blatant liars, they will fabricate just about __any__ story to get people to go do things for them.   And when those things go bad . . . . the government fools who caused it all, are nowhere to be found.

British officials like Liz Truss are unimaginable liars; they deliberately falsify information to the public - and likely in private as well - to cause people to do things that are not in the interests of others.   Those others fight back and whoever volunteers to help the British, gets the consequences.  Just like CossackGundi is getting right now.

Same thing with the Americans.  Look at what they did to Afghans.  Pulled out of Kabul, and simply LEFT all the Afghans who helped them.  Those Afghans - what few were allowed to live -- were dealt with by the Taliban.

DO NOT FIGHT FOR THE UK OR FOR THE USA.   If you choose to believe the lies of those government nitwits, liars, and sociopaths, you will likely get what CossackGundi is getting right now.

For what its worth, Ukraine is losing this conflict and is going to lose. Period. Full stop.

Ukraine never had a chance against Russia.  Only an idiot would think otherwise.

Ukraine lost when they decided to accept western money to overthrow the Democratically elected President, Viktor Yanukovich, in 2014.  They lost again when they elected a west-financed puppet government in Kiev.  They lost again when the people of Crimea voted in a referendum, to leave Ukraine and return to Russia.  They lost again when the people of Luhansk and DOnetsk decided they, too, were leaving Ukraine for Russia - but Ukraine said "no" and sent the Ukraine Army to bomb them.

Ukraine lost again when their army in Luhansk and Donetsk was confronted by "Little Green men" sent in by Russia to protect the civilians in Luhansk and Donetsk.

Ukraine lost again when they signed the Minsk Agreements, then did absolutely NOTHING to implement them for five years, and instead continued to bomb civilians in Luhansk and Donetsk.

Ukraine lost again when they openly incorporated actual NAZIS into their government, police, and military.

Ukraine lost again when Luhansk and Donetsk declared Independence and invited Russia in to protect them.

Ukraine lost again when the Kremlin called on February 23, and gave Ukraine five hours to accept the terms of the Minsk Agreement, accept that Crimea was now Russian territory, and allow Luhansk and Donetsk to be free, then IGNORED the Kremlin ultimatum at the behest of the British and Americans.   Once that five hour window expired, the Russian Army entered Ukraine.

Ukraine's public relations machine would have people think that Ukraine is the victim; they are not.  They are the perpetrators . . .  they brought all this upon themselves and they are losing.

DJ, AM earlier mentioned Ukrainian soldiers in the French Foreign Legion defected to join Ukraine forces-maybe still partly in French uniforms ?

DJ,

Alexander Mercouris (AM) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK6t6tgl_mw or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK6t6tgl_mw ; UK Media Admits Time for Mariupol Defenders Running Out News Topic 464 Last marines defending Mariupol ‘running out of ammunition’ https://www.theguardian.com/world/202...

DJ; In short; (UK) media now admitting Ukraine was not able to move much of its remaining troops from Kiev to the east/Donbas. UK media preparing for the news of the fall of Mariupol and Ukraine losing the fight in the Donbas. AM; remarkable limited support for the Azov-nazi-claim of "chemical attack: ...even with bojo pushing that story. DJ-The US did mention possible a form of riot-gear, teargas...

DJ-In the media also claims of "thousends of civilian deaths" in Mariupol...(but I notice a different tune...the press could start realizing the neo-nazi's killed lots of hostages/ethnic Russians).

There was a tele meeting between Modi-India and biden...(DJ Blinken also did meet India FM)...India will NOT support US sanctions

DJ-The outcome of US pressure on both India and China is more trade with Russia now in Rupee and Yuan, further decrease of trade in US$...Also more US pressure on Mexico may result in a wider gap between the US and Mexico...

AM also mentions infighting in the UK conservative party. DJ bojo and 50 others did get fines for breaking CoViD-rules last year..

DJ German president (most power in Germany with the PM) was NOT welcome in Kiev. The Austrian PM visiting Putin was not welcomed in the Kremlin...did not have a talk with Putin without a formal Russian translator (making a recording of the conversation...Putin his German is fluent-Russia simply does not see any reason to trust western politicians). AM wonders if that meeting was supposed to be more "secret"-pushing for Austria/German energy interests..

DJ, The EU did exclude further energy sanctions on Russia (=the EU will keep buying oil and gas from Russia, the US will buy ural-oil and uranium...India only buying very limited oil from Russia. "The EU buys in one afternoon what India is buying in a month" (so 1/60 th of EU ammount-India is annoyed over pressure of buying even less...).

Japan going for less sanctions then the EU-is involved in a Russian-Japan energy project, South Korea doing even less then Japan...Singapore has some travelrestrictions...(DJ that is the western propaganda of "the world against Russia")

DJ In western media the Saudi satire of biden unable to make a statement should be a very serious warning !!! Both biden and bojo under growing internal pressure to step down...For the outside world there is still "some show" of "western unity" ..NATO, Australia "against Russia (and China...).  But support in the EU for this "hard line" is eroding;

-sanctions do damage the EU more then Russia

-what is the goal of this conflict; EU did not want regime change in Moscow

-growing doubts over biden...(DJ In the EU we had Juncker in an official function. The official reason was a backproblem but often in public appearances he simply was drunk...I also remember Jeltsin...a wodka was named after him...).

DJ-My conclusion; "the west" is losing (interest in) the Ukraine war...Sanctions did reach the opposite of what they were supposed to bring. Putin now has twice the public support (in Russia)  of biden (in the US) or bojo (in the UK)...

Again-like in previous conflicts-did the west have a realistic plan ? Do they have any idea of what they are doing ? Or is the west run by a bunch of fools ????

While President  is busy talking to the South Korean parliament rather than seriously negotiating a ceasefire, It is only a question of time when #Mariupol will fall to #Russia's control, a hugely important city in the south of #Ukraine.

In the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the United States has always played a role in the escalation of the conflict. And forced other countries to choose sides to contain China. Is such behavior the behavior of a superpower? American hegemony should stop.

Ripping off the world with massive QE. Freezing Iran's forex reserves. Seizing Afghanistan's assets. Freezing $300bn of Russia's gold & forex reserves & the overseas assets of its entities&individuals. Surely these are enough to make the US the No. 1 economic bandit in the world?

DJ, I can not imagine the west being this blind for a global-non-western view of "the west"...It is quite an archievement to unite Russia, China and India against you...Maybe even worse for the US; If a US Navy ship in the East-Mediterranean was attacked did the attack come from Russia, Syria, Iran ? Or Lebanon, Turkey ? Maybe Libya...Yemen even...? What a total mess !!!

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/taibbi-give-war-chance or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/taibbi-give-war-chance ;

Robert Kagan, neoconservative writer and husband to Deputy Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland, wrote a piece called “The Price of Hegemony” in Foreign Affairs last week that was fascinating. If I’d written his opening, people would denounce me as a Putin-concubine:

Although it is obscene to blame the United States for Putin’s inhumane attack on Ukraine, to insist that the invasion was entirely unprovoked is misleading.

Just as Pearl Harbor was the consequence of U.S. efforts to blunt Japanese expansion on the Asian mainland, and just as the 9/11 attacks were partly a response to the United States’ dominant presence in the Middle East after the first Gulf War, so Russian decisions have been a response to the expanding post–Cold War hegemony of the United States and its allies in Europe.

Kagan went on to make an argument straight out of Dr. Strangelove. Instead of doing what some critics want and focusing on “improving the well-being of Americans,” the U.S. government is instead properly recognizing the responsibility that comes with being a superpower. So, while Russia’s invasion may indeed have been a foreseeable consequence of a decision to expand our hegemonic reach, now that we’re here, there’s only one option left. Total commitment:

It is better for the United States to risk confrontation with belligerent powers when they are in the early stages of ambition and expansion, not after they have already consolidated substantial gains. Russia may possess a fearful nuclear arsenal, but the risk of Moscow using it is not higher now than it would have been in 2008 or 2014, if the West had intervened then. And it has always been extraordinarily small…

-

We saw a ton of this thinking after 9/11. World-domination advocates who’d been laughed out of meetings for years were taken seriously overnight. Rigid with jingoistic fervor, they were suddenly in print and on air everywhere, bursting with “plans for everyone,” as Iggy Pop put it. Such people always rush to the front of the debate in these moments and they’re always listened to, until about ten years later, when it quietly becomes okay to reflect on a question we probably should have pondered in the moment, i.e. “Hey, are these people crazy?”

DJ, YES-there are a lot of crazy people in strategic positions...certainly in the west...The idea of starting a nuclear war to show "the strength of America" may even be to much for the UK...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

The assertion was made by Le Figaro senior international correspondent Georges Malbrunot.

Malbrunot said he had accompanied French volunteer fighters, two of whom had previously fought against ISIS.

“I had the surprise, and so did they, to discover that to be able to enter the Ukrainian army, well it’s the Americans who are in charge,” said Malbrunot.

Adding that he and the volunteers “almost got arrested” by the Americans, who asserted they were in charge, the journalist then revealed that they were forced to sign a contract “until the end of the war.”

“And who is in charge? It’s the Americans, I saw it with my own eyes,” said Malbrunot, adding, “I thought I was with the international brigades, and I found myself facing the Pentagon.”

Malbrunot also mentioned America providing Ukraine with switchblade suicide drones, something highlighted by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in a tweet that revealed Ukrainian soldiers were being trained to use the devices in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Citing a French intelligence source, Malbrunot also tweeted that British SAS units “have been present in Ukraine since the beginning of the war, as did the American Deltas.”

Russia is apparently well aware of the “secret war” being waged in Ukraine by foreign commandos who have been in the region since February.

Both the United States and the UK have publicly asserted that there won’t be “boots on the ground” in Ukraine, but apparently there has been a US-UK military presence since the start of the war.

“Polls showed in the run up to the war the overwhelming majority of Americans wanted our government to stay out of it but our leaders know best and are more than happy to risk World War III in defense of Ukraine’s puppet regime,” writes Chris Menahan.

-Also the ZH article by a French-Le Figaro journalist on how dominant the US role is in this war...US, UK special forces involved. (DJ, some indications also Polish, French and Sweden involvement).

Russian soldiers left the town Bucha in Ukraine on March 30. Two days later the Ukrainian Gestapo like SBU and men of the fascist Azov battalion moved in to find and remove 'traitors'. On April 2/3 video was published that showed freshly killed men laying on the streets of Bucha. Several of them had white arm bands signaling to Russian forces to see them as friendlies.

The 'west' and Ukrainian officials immediately called those dead the result of 'Russian atrocities'.

had called it a provocation:

The Bucha 'Russian' atrocities propaganda onslaught may have worked well in the 'west' but it lacks evidence that Russia had anything to do with it.

The former Indian ambassador M.K. Bhadrakumar calls it an outright fake: ...

And a fake it was.

Thankfully there are still some sane U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency officials and William Arkin is talking with them:

Last Wednesday, Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk said that 320 people had been killed in the town of 37,000.
...
"It is ugly," a senior official with the Defense Intelligence Agency tells Newsweek. "But we forget that two peer competitors fought over Bucha for 36 days, and that the town was occupied, that Russian convoys and positions inside the town were attacked by the Ukrainians and vice versa, that ground combat was intense, that the town itself was literally fought over."
...
"I am not for a second excusing Russia's war crimes, nor forgetting that Russia invaded the country," says the DIA official. "But the number of actual deaths is hardly genocide. If Russia had that objective or was intentionally killing civilians, we'd see a lot more than less than .01 percent in places like Bucha."

320 of 37,000 is not .01 percent. But we do not know how many of those dead were Russian or Ukrainian soldiers. Some of the dead were so called 'civilian defenders' which were supposedly local civilians to whom the government had handed guns to 'fight the Russians'. During a war a 'civilian' with a government issued gun shooting at enemy soldiers is a combatant, not a civilian.

-

One should also note that the often shown mass graves in Bucha were not from recent actions but had been dug on March 10 after heavy fighting when Russian soldiers tried to enter the town:

Maxar Technologies, which collects and publishes satellite imagery of Ukraine, said the first signs of excavation for a mass grave at the Church of St. Andrew and Pyervozvannoho All Saints were seen on March 10.

"More recent coverage on March 31st shows the grave site with an approximately 45-foot-long trench in the southwestern section of the area near the church," Maxar said.

The DIA official clearly says the civilian casualties in Ukraine, which are quite low, get overplayed and that attributing them solely to Russia is wrong:

On Monday, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said it had recorded 1,793 deaths and 2,439 injuries to civilians in all of Ukraine since the war began on February 24. U.S. intelligence believes that the true number is some five times greater, as previously reported by Newsweek.

DJ AM is asking what wisdom is behind giving Ukraine more missiles when all indications are they use it against there own population and then blame Russia...

"If we blame all the damage on Putin, as if he commanded it and that it is due solely to Russian war crimes, we are going to walk away from Ukraine with some illusion in our heads that modern warfare can be fought more cleanly, that the Ukraine war is an anomaly solely created by Russia's behavior. This war is just demonstrating how destructive any war on this scale would be."

One should avoid to wage war whenever possible but it also important to end wars as quickly as possible:

"Maybe it's heartless to urge that we look at Ukraine with precision, without human emotion," says the DIA official.

"But for those who think tens of thousands have died and Russia is intentionally killing civilians and pursuing genocide, I say that's even more of an argument to find a diplomatic solution to cease fighting. But nothing is going to happen in the coming days or weeks to change the reality on the battlefield. That's why stopping the fighting should be our highest priority."

Unfortunately ending the war is not a priority for the U.S. nor the EU. Their leaders are drunk on the idea that the Ukraine defeated Russia around Kiev. They seem to believe that the Ukraine can defeat Russia everywhere.

But the retreat from Kiev was ordered because the deceptive move towards it had fulfilled its purpose of keeping a large number of Ukrainian soldiers in place around Kiev while the Russian army opened the land corridor to Crimea.

The Ukraine has no chance to defeat the Russian army no matter how many old tanks or airplanes the U.S. and EU countries move to it.

Sending more weapons only prolongs the war and inevitably creates more military and civilian casualties on both sides.

DJ Of course you can blame Putin for everything you want...but that does not solve a thing. The "sanctionwar" was the other part of NATO strategy-in fact sanctions are as good as ignored outside NATO-(Australian trade with Russia is very limited-in many ways they compete...).

With more and more western claims and excuses for this war showing to be non-sense it is the west that is damaged most by it...may fear further escalation. https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/china-firms-pulling-out-of-usa-britain-canada or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/china-firms-pulling-out-of-usa-britain-canada China desinvesting in countries taking those investments hostage to enforce countries to follow US-biden-sanctions against Russia...(DJ Another strategy may be a smokescreen making it less visible who owns a company..Or keep high employment activities still going-to lay of workers in reaction to more sanctions...)

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/video-russian-flagship-moskva-explodes-in-black-sea-off-ukraine or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/video-russian-flagship-moskva-explodes-in-black-sea-off-ukraine

Ukrainian officials on Wednesday evening claimed that a battery of their Neptune anti-ship missiles hidden in Odessa had successfully struck the Moskva twice, setting the cruiser ablaze. Among those making the claim were Maksim Marchenko, head of the military administration in Odessa, and Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Interior Ministry in Kiev.

They did not provide any evidence for their claims.

It was just yesterday that the Hal Turner Radio Show reported to the world via Global High Frequency radio broadcasts on WBCQ and WRMI,  that NATO personnel were in Odessa with equipment that could provide precise coordinates on every ship in the Black Sea within 200km, and that the NATO targeting gear could be used to guide missiles to those ships.   One day later, Russia's Black Sea flagship has now, apparently, been hit.

DJ, If the US (NATO) was involved in sinking a main Russian battleship it will be yet another escalation...

-This 'biden-war" started february 24. The US is fighting Russia. Because non-NATO countries do not go for sanctions (Hungary,Turkey are NATO-also do not go for sanctions) the US now has a growing conflict with China, India...Imran Khan in Pakistan accusing the US of a coup...the Iran-deal not signed, realistic inflation for most of the west (year-to-year) 10%+...

Still https://www.zerohedge.com/military/kremlin-again-warns-us-nato-weapons-transports-ukraine-will-be-attacked or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/kremlin-again-warns-us-nato-weapons-transports-ukraine-will-be-attacked it is the US-biden-pushing for further conflict...

#US population, like most countries around the globe, r suffering from inflation due to US wars and  admin is releasing $800 million in arms and military equipment so the war in #Ukraine continues. Americans should stand against these decisions.

DJ-Again ! Get rid of biden....The military-industrial/banking-complex is running the US elite at the cost of the common men...Turning the suffering of millions into profit of the few..STOP IT !

French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen - who is now in a close second behind President Macron following Sunday's first round vote and ahead of the next round April 24 presidential election, and who is often dubbed "far-right nationalist" in establishment media - said Wednesday that she plans to propose closer links between NATO and Russia once the Ukraine war concludes

She said she would back a "a strategic rapprochement between NATO and Russia" which would come "as soon as the Russian-Ukrainian war is over and has been settled by a peace treaty."

She also referenced increasing China-Russia relations as both countries find themselves under Washington pressure and the target of sanctions and attempts at ratcheting diplomatic isolation.

"It is in the interest of France and Europe, but also, I believe, of the United States, which has… no interest in seeing the emergence of a close Sino-Russian union," she said at a press conference presentation of her key foreign policy positions in Paris.

And according to Reuters, "She also said that she does not want France to leave the European Union and added that she would respect the Paris agreement on climate change if she were elected president."

Le Monde further quoted her as saying the following on the question of France's role in NATO:

As for France's place in NATO, "in the event of my election, I would like to dispel any misunderstanding" , she began. “I simply want to reconnect with the policy that was ours from 1966 to 2009, which in no way implied submission to Moscow.”

Without doubt, and despite her above clarification of simply wanting a return to France's prior policy based on avoiding confrontation with superpower Russia at all costs, she will still be branded by opponents as a "Russia apologist".

Macron himself has seized on this talking point, despite him being the only European leader to hold direct phone calls with Putin on an almost weekly basis throughout the war, in order to find room for de-escalation and diplomacy in Ukraine.

A recent Politico hit piece called out Le Pen as a supposed "Putin sympathizer" - as but one example of this kind of commentary among many... "A possible victory by Le Pen, a Putin sympathizer, could destabilize the Western coalition against Moscow, upending France’s role as a leading European power and potentially giving other NATO leaders cold feet about staying in the alliance, according to three senior administration officials not authorized to publicly discuss private conversations."

And already, US officials are anonymously dropping hints of election 'interference' by Russia (of course such allegations will be triggered only in the event Le Pen pulls off a win): "Senior U.S. officials have warily watched across the Atlantic for any signs of possible Russian interference in the first round of the elections, which will take place Sunday. Polls suggest that Macron and Le Pen would likely then advance to a showdown on April 24 — and that the potential two-person race would be close," Politico wrote ahead of last Sunday's vote.

DJ At least some other vision then "support biden is his personal obsession with Putin".....

Le Pen, who on April 24 faces President Emmanuel Macron in a run-off, said there should be a "strategic rapprochement" between NATO and Russia once the war launched by Moscow against Ukraine had ended.

"As soon as the Russian-Ukrainian war is over and has been settled by a peace treaty, I will call for the implementation of a strategic rapprochement between NATO and Russia," Le Pen told a news conference packed with international reporters.

DJ Both in the US and EU (and the rest of the west) no sane person is waiting for another endless war close to EU borders with millions of refugees and growing risks of both hyperinflation and nuclear war...https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/ukraine-war-set-cost-europe-twice-much-covid-2020 or https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/ukraine-war-set-cost-europe-twice-much-covid-2020;

Experts agree that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will have lasting and negative effects on the world economy and the rises in global energy and food prices and inflation will hit millions of people.

The war is set to inflict twice the amount of economic damage across Europe and Central Asia than the pandemic did in 2020.

In addition to Russia and Ukraine, neighboring Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova and Tajikistan are projected to fall into recession this year. The growth projections have been downgraded in all economies due to spillovers from the war.

DJ, the biden-wars...

https://southfront.org/putin-fell-into-bidens-trap/ or https://southfront.org/putin-fell-into-bidens-trap/ ; The intended future from this is, of course, a world in which the U.S. Government will be the dictator to ALL countries, and the castrated United Nations that U.S. President Harry S. Truman’s Administration shaped, will become totally replaced by whatever America’s aristocracy — the billionaires who effectively own all successful U.S. national politicians and thereby control that Government — want.

It will be like a vast corporation, that’s controlled by its top few stockholders

This will be the world that coming generations will be living in, unless the main countries that are trying to prevent that — Russia and China in particular — will, somehow, become enabled to reverse the direction that the world now seems to be hurtling into (regardless of what the publics everywhere might want).

Our descendants will, now, likely be experiencing that world. This is what is actually now at stake, for everybody, and especially for their descendants. It is at stake now in Ukraine, and, sadly, everywhere.

The future is at stake there, for everywhere.

DJ So US goal is global dominance, uni-polar...US "the global boss" and if you do not listen you end up in regime-change...

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/shanghai-police-telling-citizens-protesting-lockdown-we-are-going-to-have-a-war-with-america or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/shanghai-police-telling-citizens-protesting-lockdown-we-are-going-to-have-a-war-with-america ; DJ-I think CoViD in China is now worse then ever before-in China-during this pandemic. But compared to western numbers China may still have "some control over CoViD"...however they must be preparing for war with the US.

I write the US...NOT NATO...If some in the US have the idea the major battle will be in Europe, Asia, Africa...I do not think so...If the basic problem is the US-elite going for the bizarre idea "they rule the world" that elite is the problem and the target.

A.o. Le Figaro reporting the US is in control of the Ukraine war...Russia is fighting Ukraine that is run by the US...https://www.zerohedge.com/military/russia-alleges-more-cross-border-attacks-its-soil-threatens-strikes-decision-making or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/russia-alleges-more-cross-border-attacks-its-soil-threatens-strikes-decision-making so further Ukraine escalation will see more reactions...

Effort post on the Moskva situation. Bottom line: I think this was an utter disaster — for the Zelensky regime and the people of Ukraine. You can read my full post and my reasoning on Telegram: https://t.me/realCRP/4321

DJ, Russia did attack further Ukraine command centers, destroy the last refinery in reaction to the sinking of the Moskva..No doubt also trying to find out more on what NATO-intel may have been involved.

-For Israel http://thesaker.is/israel-has-dropped-repeated-hints-at-a-major-strike-on-iranian-nuclear-facilities-in-the-near-future/ or http://thesaker.is/israel-has-dropped-repeated-hints-at-a-major-strike-on-iranian-nuclear-facilities-in-the-near-future/

Israel has dropped repeated hints at a major strike on Iranian nuclear facilities in the near future

Two weeks ago Israel’s prime minister Naftali Bennett announced the start of a new campaign against Iran at the annual conference of Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies. Here Mr Bennett said “the campaign to weaken Iran has begun”. He described the campaign as multi-dimensional, including moves in the nuclear arena, the economy, cyber warfare, and overt and covert action, but gave no details on specific actions or plans.

Israel has carried out attacks on Iran’s centrifuge plant at Natanz twice in the past two years, with a third incident widely reported a couple of months ago. Further offensive action against Iran is in practice dependent on the agreement and cooperation of the United States. At a meeting of Secretary of State Blinken and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid in October 2021 Mr Blinken stated baldly that if negotiations to restart the JCPOA failed then the US would turn to “other options”. Israel’s defence Minister Gantz visited Washington in December 2021, where he is reported to have tabled the proposed timetable for an Israeli strike.

On April 6th Israeli news sources showed Israeli Chief of Staff Lt General Aviv Kochavi addressing a group of NATO air commanders assembled in Israel. Among his remarks he referred to “…preparations for an operation in Iran that is currently undergoing expedited preparatory work.”

DJ Again the US goal is to stop Eur-Asian integration...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc7xCzq8x_g or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc7xCzq8x_g ;Neocon regime change of Imran Khan puts world leaders on notice The Duran: Episode 1259

this regime change in Pakistan-for now-is a US "succes", the military/elite are back in power...but anti-US sentiments in the region are near explosive...and the elite in Pakistan can not ignore that.

Want to appreciate our 123 MNAs as their resignations have been accepted by Speaker Qasim Suri. Their standing firm for a sovereign Pak & against US-initiated regime change bringing to power criminals, convicted & on bail - the ultimate insult to any self respecting indep nation.

DJ, So in Pakistan the "US coup" success may be short lived; Imran Khan may return to avoid a civil war...Pakistan needs fertilizers etc. from Russia...

In general this US coup in Pakistan, the biden-push for regime change even in Moscow is telling the non-western world (the west is blind) the US has NO respect for independence, only want "slave states" following US-elite orders...

DJ-So from that perspective limited solutions;

-If France would make a major move to get out of the downward spiral some other EU countries may also slow down...(both le pen and macron under growing pressure...not that much for energy-France still going nuclear-but out of pride and trade...)

-I expect Russia, Iran, China (RIC) are already preparing for a major war with the US. Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba may see "Asian reinforcements"...

-If the US would go for a sanction war against India-or even regime change (with the ruling party-Modi being pro-US, the opposition Congres Party was pro-Russian) it may push India into further "partnership" with Russia and Iran...(China, Pakistan will remain a problem-however Asian trade is the major India market...).

I think "Asia" is making plans-hope to avoid the worst...

-Moskva did sink. Ship was build in 1982 in Nikolayev-now in Ukraine...some of it ship-ship weapons were even older. Still the ship was large and able to travel long distances. AM doubts Ukraine missiles destroyed it...a.o. the US Pentagon has doubts as well

-DJ Russia did strike several targets in Ukraine-also in reaction to more Ukraine military actions in the Russian border zone...

-The EU claims they will not buy Russian energy for Ruble...not even for Euro's-Gazprom bank-exchange to Ruble...AM mentioning a report that NO cheap(er) Russian energy will make East Asia win the economic competition with the EU...

-India may increase coal import from Russia DJ Main limit for (much) increase (for now) of Russia increasing energy trade with-most-China is pipelines are still under construction.

DJ-Like Iran did, Russia may sell oil-getting mixed-a.o. in the Baltic countries as "non-Russian oil". (So 49% is from Russia, 51% other-high energy prices-still enough profit. Iran did sell some of its oil via Iraq-as Iraq oil...).

AM Mentions Ukraine needs 7 billion US$ per month to keep its economy from collapse, the west did send already a lot of it "easy to use" and "older weapons" to Ukraine...facing increasing inflation, food crisis...

Did Putin expect the Ukraine war to "go this way"? DJ-Some speculated Russia expected to be welcomed as liberators...from video's there "were limits to that"...DJ-I think however Putin expected the "police action" could stay limited...On the other hand long term conflicts were not new...Russia did know the US biden government idea's on a multi-polar globe..

So maybe Putin had hopes for "plan A" short intervention, but had "plan B" already nearby...

The "west" however;

-Did maybe not expect Russia would go for this kind of invasion of Ukraine (more limited to the Donbas-already under pro-Russian control).

-Sanctions and increase of weapons being send by that west did NOT stop Russia...

-DJ, Maybe even to the horror of the west they did find themselves isolated... YES regime change in Pakistan may have been a US success...but Imran Khan WAS in Moscow during the invasion february 24...You can replace the man, but replacing the reason why Khan was in Moscow may be harder...(You could end up with another-more pro-western Pakistan leader visiting Moscow for trade ...so the "US success" may have been only on the personal level...).

-AM mentioning western economies; 1 face increasing inflation, 2, energy, food, supply problems, 3 resulting in financial problems (a.o. less tax income) and 4 also Ukraine needs "billions per month" to have some basic economy...

DJ-This kind of warfare is something the west may be able to do for a few months..

TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned neighboring Iraq on Thursday not to allow its soil to be used for activities that disrupt the Islamic Republic’s security, his office said.

His comments follow accusations by Iran last month that Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region had hosted a “strategic center” used by Tehran’s arch-enemy Israel.

“The president emphasized that Iran strongly expects neighboring countries, especially Iraq, not to allow any presence that is disruptive to the security of the Islamic Republic,” a statement by Raisi’s office said.

He accused Iraq’s Kurdistan region of “negligence,” adding that Iran is closely monitoring the movements of Israel and will not allow it to endanger the security of the region through any country, including Iraq.

The Iranian president made the remarks in Tehran during a meeting with visiting Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.

Iraq’s top diplomat pledged that his country will not be a base for actions against Iran’s security, the statement added.

“We are ready for extensive cooperation, including in the field of security, to prevent any threat to the interests of Iran,” Fuad said, according to Raisi’s office.

Last month, Iran targeted the northern Iraqi city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region, with a dozen ballistic missiles that lightly wounded two civilians.

DJ, There are claims Israel is 'working with Kurds" both in Syria and Iraq, also would have (had) a base in Azarbaijan...Israels main enemy is Iran...not Russia...

There was a sort of cooperation between TIP, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan as part of "the new silk road". Since the Pakistan elite-eventhough more pro-US then Khan-also want to maintain trade with China the US goal of stopping EurAsian integration is not reached with "only a coup" in Pakistan...

It is "not new" the US and Iran "are not the best of friends"....In the past Iran did allow Russia to use some airbases in Iran for attacks on IS targets in Syria. China, Russia "showed interest in navy cooperation" -meaning the would like to be able Iran ports for their Navies...India-Iran already working jointly in the south of Iran...

DJ-With "growing pressure on Iran" "Iran may be more willing to allow closer cooperation" with both Russia and China...(time limits 10 years ?)

In Turkey Erdogan may be "on the watch" for another US led coup...Turkey is in between Syria and Ukraine...The US "would love Turkey to do more of the dirty work" also against Iran...

In TIP "western/US democrazy usually means generals taking power"...Iran did manage to keep the US out since 1979...but both Turkey and Pakistan did see "a lot of generals bringing western democrazy"...

Turkey already is working with both Russia and Iran, Erdogan may meet Assad of Syria this year...Erdogan is going for what he sees as Turkish interests...but may decide "using NATO for that" has become to much of a risk...So I would not be surprised if "Turkey did see more cooperation with other partners"but trying to keep some balance.

TIP cooperation idea was to "balance" between Russia, China, Arab States, Israel, EU...

April 24 is the second round of the presidential elections in France-already the trends in lots of Europe-for now an undercurrent-is more nationalistic (and certainly not pro US !!! It is the elite that is now going wild over NATO/EU)...but Ukraine joining NATO or EU did get less realistic since february 24-begin of Russian intervention...

I did not hear plans for Ukraine to switch to Euro's...but I would not be surprised...

In Ukraine itself I expect Russia may now increase attacks on infrastructure...Causing a major supply problem in Ukraine may "break the pro-US regime in Kiev"...With the EU sinking into a growing crisis time-for now-may be on the side of Russia...

Ukraine soldiers sell an armored vehicle and other weapons to the DPR militias. The sale took place in the area of N. p. Snigirevka, Mykolaiv region. Note, the Ukrainian soldiers accept US dollars and Russian rubles as payment. War is money.

DJ, Ukraine was "top of the list" for corruption...where does "the west" think a lot of aid will end ???

On the longer term-this summer ? -Russia, China, Iran may be "ready" for fighting a major war with the US...

DJ, Further escalations;

https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/china-must-pay-price-for-russia-backing:-us-senator-in-taiwa or https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/china-must-pay-price-for-russia-backing:-us-senator-in-taiwa

A senior United States senator said on Friday that China must pay a price for backing Russia's operation in Ukraine, during a trip to Taiwan.

During the trip, the American lawmakers vowed that Washington would not abandon the island.

Beijing warned of "severe measures" in response to a two-day visit to Taipei by a delegation led by Lindsey Graham, a vociferous China hawk.

During a meeting with President Tsai Ing-wen, Graham said the United States would "stand for what we love, we would stand with you."

"We are going to start making China pay a greater price for what they are doing all over the world. The support for (Russian President Vladimir) Putin must come with a price," he added.

I just learned about this— —it’s huge, and I’m not kidding. Escalation is on the menu—but not in Ukraine: In the South China Sea.

Having “frozen” Russian foreign exchange reserves in custody accounts of western central banks, financial regulators of the US, EU, and the UK undermined the status of the dollar, euro, and pound as global reserve currencies. This step sharply accelerated the ongoing dismantling of the dollar-based economic world order.

-

The new convergent economic system that emerged in the PRC (People’s Republic of China) and India is the next inevitable stage of development, combining the benefits of both centralized strategic planning and market economy, and of both state control of the monetary and physical infrastructure and entrepreneurship. The new economic system united various strata of their societies around the goal of increasing common wellbeing in a way that is substantially stronger than the Anglo-Saxon and European alternatives. This is the main reason why Washington will not be able to win the global hybrid war that it started. This is also the main reason why the current dollar-centric global financial system will be superseded by a new one, based on a consensus of the countries who join the new world economic order.

De-dollar-ization will go high speed.

The Russian people are enraged beyond words over the sinking of their Black Sea flagship, the Guided Missile Cruiser "Moskva" and they are already publicly saying on TV that they are in World War 3 with the United States.

Barrages of Russian missiles were launched late last night against at least 8 different "fronts" inside Ukraine, hitting targets in Kiev, Kharkov, Nikolaev, and elsewhere, causing thunderous explosions.

-

One source familiar with the unfolding events, told me the following:

The cruiser sank.
There were many victims on board. There was a monstrous explosion of ammunition and airborne missiles.
I think there may be several hundred dead, if not almost the entire crew.
So there will be a backlash.

That same source then SPECULATED what he believes the Russian response will be:

The RF Armed Forces will hit Bankovaya, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the GUR building and other facilities in Kyiv.
In addition, a strike on the Baltic states or arms convoys in Poland or the Czech Republic is possible.
There will be strikes by the RF Armed Forces on bridges along the western border of Ukraine, on bridges in Kyiv, on bridges across the Dnieper.
There will be strikes on railway bridges in Western Ukraine and on transport hubs and interchanges, on junction stations, and so on.
There will be strikes on the barracks and control centers. Blows are prepared from all trunks. They will strike from the Caspian, from the Black Sea, from the Crimea, even from the Baltic and from Kaliningrad. There will be shelling by Belarusian artillery and Belarusian rockets.
The strike will be three waves, massive volleys, there will be up to a thousand missiles at the same time.
Heavy artillery, RSZO. In the Kiev region, Kiev, Kharkov, Nikolaev.

He wrapped-up his speculation by telling me:

WAR IS GOING TO A NEW LEVEL !!!
WATCH.

This story is still developing, check back for updates.

DJ More;

I’m having a hard time pinning this down, but apparently NSA Jake Sullivan said at the Economic Club that the US won’t return assets seized from Russian citizens, even after the end of the conflict. This is theft based on nationality. This is insane — let me explain why.

-

China is at the top of the US‘s naughty list. And Chinese nationals have a great deal of money invested in the US. By stealing Russian citizens’ assets, the US has all of a sudden made sure that every Chinese citizen starts figuring out ways to pull their money from the US.

Stealing money from foreign investors is not getting more investments...Also on this twitter "German "greens" explaining why "Russians are not Europeans"...crazy...(DJ-I hoped "greens" would care for the planet, but these "greens" only care for their ego...bunch of idiots !)

-https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/ukraine-open-thread-2022-46.html#comments or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/ukraine-open-thread-2022-46.html#comments reaction #5, Russian military source;

So far, everything suggests that the ship was hit during a combined attack involving a UAV and the Ukrainian Neptune missile defense system with direct support from NATO (primarily in reconnaissance and targeting).

It is difficult to say what chances the ship had without cover with outdated radar and air defense in such conditions.

In the general picture of what happened , two points are of interest:

1. Did NATO reconnaissance aircraft take part (https://t.me/atomiccherry/430 )in the continuous illumination of the target, or only gave the exact coordinates.
The first option already speaks of the direct participation of the British Air Force in a military operation against the missile cruiser "Moscow".

2. Whether the Turkish Bayraktar UAVs were used in the attack on the ship. It may also dramatically lower the degree of Turkey's relations with Russia.

Once again, we have received a painful lesson in competent and clear planning of the operation, unified and effective management of forces and means, which is critically lacking in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

DJ Did a RAF (UK) fighter direct (via laser) a anti-ship missile to the Moskva ? Was a (Turkish build) drone involved ? In other words; Russia asking if NATO did sink a Russian cruiser-flagship. I think Russia will increase to get control all of the Black Sea coast. But also may "leave less room" for NATO planes near operations (even if it is in international airspace).

Basic point; Russia and China see further US escalation and "may act accordingly"...no doubt Iran at their side..

DJ-Another 30 Polish "mercenaries" were killed near Charkow...in Mariupol "western losses" may be in the hundreds...NATO has "boots on the ground in Ukraine" ...Blaming China for not stopping trade with Russia-the US idea was that China also would buy US energy ? How ? And some US "politicians" now pushing for more sanctions on China, weapons for Taiwan "may flip-flop" international relations...If the US no longer sticks to the "One China policy" de facto the US declared war to the P.R.of China...

Looks like Ukrainian MiG-29s are being transported in different parts across roads. Would be interesting if this is how "donated" MiG-29s from NATO countries are being transported into Ukraine to not lure Russian airstrikes.

There are Unconfirmed reports coming out of Russia today that the Russian Federation is preparing to Formally Declare War on Ukraine in response to the sinking of the Russian Black Sea’s Flag-Ship “Moskva.” (Story HERE) This would allow the Russian Government to begin Mass Conscription as well as Economic War Actions.

https://www.zerohedge.com/military/russian-long-range-bombers-strike-ukraine-1st-time-war or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/russian-long-range-bombers-strike-ukraine-1st-time-war

The use of long-range bombers could signal the start of a new Russian strategy. The Kremlin has recently admitted it's suffered bigger than expected casualties, with many analysts pointing out that so far Russia has been restrained when it comes to major bombing raids on Ukrainian cities.

It also became evident early on that Russia's military appeared to be restraining its use of airpower, resulting in many instances of unprotected tank convoys being ambushed with often foreign-supplied anti-tank missiles, such as the Javelin.

The timing of this latest development is interesting also given the Thursday sinking of the Moskva cruiser off Odessa's coast, which was considered the Russian Navy's flagship in the Black Sea. It was reportedly hit by a pair of Neptune anti-ship missiles, and Ukraine is celebrating it as a major victory.

DJ a bit more complex https://southfront.org/pakistan-china-u-s-who-wants-new-power-in-pakistan/ or https://southfront.org/pakistan-china-u-s-who-wants-new-power-in-pakistan/ ;

Chinese and Pakistani analysts believe that strong Sino-Pakistani relations will not be affected by internal political changes in Pakistan, because maintaining and developing bilateral ties is a joint consensus of all parties and all groups in Pakistan.

Although the U.S. has always tried to provoke or create problems for China-Pakistan ties, especially targeting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and China’s proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China need not worry, experts said.

Pakistan’s current internal political struggle has been caused by economic problems caused mainly by the COVID-19 pandemic, while CPEC and BRI, as well as Sino-Pakistani cooperation in other areas, including counterterrorism and the fight against coronavirus, are essential for Pakistan to overcome its current problems. This means that China is the most reliable, trustworthy, powerful, and indispensable partner for the country.

India fears a Russia-Pakistan-China alliance if India refuses to cooperate with the actors, but India needs to maintain its niche in relations with Russia anyway.

Russia also reacted to the change of the prime minister in Pakistan. Russia, on the other hand, counts on the continuation of the construction of the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline. Moscow hopes for the continuation of the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline project under Pakistan’s new government, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

The drone attack may have been orchestrated by the US, the Israeli intelligence, or even by the security forces of the Kurdistan Region.

Exactly ten days earlier, an attack with Iranian-made rockets targeted an oil refinery in the district of Khabat in the Kurdistan Region. Kurdish sources blamed pro-Iranian factions for the attack.

In March, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched a dozen ballistic missiles at an Erbil city, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. The guards said that the target was an Israeli intelligence center. However, Reuters said that the strike hit the villa of a Kurdish businessman involved in the Kurdistan region’s energy sector.

The drone attack on the PMU’s 78th Regiment will without a doubt add to the tensions between pro-Iranian factions and the Kurdistan Region.

DJ, The PMU is a pro-Iran militia-in fact fighting US (backed) presence. The war in Syria is in many ways linked to Iraq. The US may be able to get supplies to NE Syria from Turkey via Iraq. in Syria Turkey and the US -for now-backed "SDF" Kurds (in fact a lot of these Kurds come from Turkey-have PKK links-with PKK being seen as a terrorist organization by most of the west) are in conflict.

Turkey/Russia work "in coördination" in the Turkish-Syrian border zone. Turkey is also supporting pro-Turkish groups in that zone...

The US also has military in the south of Syria-linked with IS bases in that area. Russia is involved in the military in Iraq.

Why does this matter ? DJ-I expect Turkey "to make a move". North of Turkey is the Black Sea with on the other side Ukraine, south of Turkey is Syria. In the east is Iraq, Iran...west is Greece/EU keeping Turkey out...

So far Erdogan tried to keep "working relations" both with Ukraine and Russia. Via Turkstream Turkey gets a lot of Russian energy, Russian tourism and real estate investments (increased recently-rich Russians trying to get rid of investments in the West-now also active in the UAE...). Even in a military sense Turkey is working with Russia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Turkish_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat_attempt or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Turkish_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat_attempt  Erdogan-Turkey claim the US was behind a coup attempt july 2016. Also the US support for Kurds in Syria (against Assad) is "unwelcome".

The US/biden wants to escalate wars...may no longer accept Turkey as a partner in TIP, Turkey-Iran-Pakistan cooperation. But for Turkey "joining western sanctions" would further destroy an already weak economy.

The US goal is to stop EurAsian integration. For that goal the US looks like to go for "surrounding Russia and China with chaos".  The Pakistan US-led coup against Imran Khan is part of that plan. Also more US/Israel activity against Iran is on its way.

https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/04/15/680387/US-tryst-to-paint-David-as-Goliath--Americans-are-actually-running-this-war or https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/04/15/680387/US-tryst-to-paint-David-as-Goliath--Americans-are-actually-running-this-war

Don’t be shocked. French journalist Georges Malbrunot has caused a stir with his claim that “the Americans are in charge of the war on the ground in Ukraine. “And who is in charge? It’s the Americans. I saw it with my own eyes.”  It's a US war, folks. Always has been. Another US regime change war in a string that has left death, destruction and mayhem in virtually every corner of the globe.

The US has been there the whole time, and if you think they are just getting there now to “defend Ukraine,” you are beyond help. This has been in the planning for many years, the culmination of the Bait and Bleed mantra espoused by Zbigniew Brzezinski and the rest of the cabal of monsters that seized control of the US policy apparatus in the late 70s.

DJ, By now most of the non-western world is seeing the US as the main aggressor. NATO moving east-breaking 1991 agreements not to do so-as a "defensive organization" following NApoleon and NAzi's...

There are two parts in Eur-Asia...

Most of Europe now still accepting US "rule" but the sanctions are hurting the EU for now-much harder then the US. If the US estimates the Ukraine war may last all 2022-if not longer-the EU will not be able to go on with the sanctions without destroying their own economies...

And for what ? biden's hate against Putin ? NATO expansion the EU expected to give war ? Stopping Eur-Asian integration so the US can "go for the Asian market"?

And then there is Asia...The US now taking the side of Japan in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuril_Islands_dispute or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuril_Islands_dispute  against Russia, moving away from the "One-China" Nixon-Mao agreement...most likely even considering more US weapons, military for Taiwan.. Even thinking of sanctions for India because India is not following US orders but going for "active neutrality".

By the way-India may increase buying some coal from Russia-but it has to get to India by ship. Since India has a conflict with both Pakistan and China -both in the way of a landroute to Russia-a lot of India-Russia trade has "logistical limitations"...

Russia-China will have increased the speed on completing oil/gas pipelines and other infrastructure-but a lot of Russia-China (energy) trade also going by ship...

Asia has a young population of over 4 billion consumers-it is a fast growing economic market. And from the Arab-oil states to Korea "the view on the US is changing".

The idea that international (energy) trade has to be made in US$ may be seen as a new form of (US) colonialism. For that matter it is Asia struggle for independence part 2. The Europeans did not make currency problems...are more aware of Europe needing Asia more then Asia is in need of Europe...

The present biden/US foreign policy is putting us on the road to a short conflict-most likely most of the world against "an exceptional state" claiming to be above any law...

We may not survive the nuclear nightmare we are approaching...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ,

De-escalation steps;

-Russia pulling back its forces from Ukraine, repair payments based on an international court decision (both Russia and Ukraine would need to accept such a court; India, Turkey, Israel members ?). International guarantees for Ukraine borders (also part of such a special court). Neutrality and protection of the rights of minorities in Ukraine (Russian, Polish, Greek, Jewish).

---------------------

The US follows the agreements it made; so; US accept Russia-Japan border from 1945

-One-China policy 1972, so no US bases/weapons for Taiwan

-NATO not moving east-1990; resulting in pull back of foreign military from former Warsaw Pact-however these countries staying under NATO art.5 protection.

-Reduction of medium range missiles etc. INF

-IRAN-deal as agreed upon under Obama

--------------------------------

Special Drawing Rights-IMF international currency with also a role for the US$. Both the US$ and SWIFT not to be used as a weapon. Countries can decide for themselves what currency they use for international payments (with US$ being protected in IMF-SDR).

DJ-The biggest problem-in my opinion-is the US believing to be "exceptional" and enforcing the US$ on a global economy. That has to end without ruining the global economy.

IF the US is unwilling to accept those kind of terms we will be moving from war to war...ending up in total war..The US has to find a new global balance with room for other countries. Those other countries should also respect US interests.

-----------------------------

#Russia can improve by recognising its mistakes. It has been largely demonised and accused of genocide. Therefore, #Moscow has no concern to keep its image but changing its military doctrine and learning that its trust in the west will be useless. Without a real show of force...

DJ In western propaganda Russians are already "monsters", the west is running out of usuable sanctions...only can pressure other countries to enforce sanctions...but even then Russia may survive that...it may have most of the goods they need-or find ways to produce it...So-since Russia would already be for a genocide in Ukraine-what if they increased attacks ? Would the western media then come with "super genocide"...?

-On Iran http://thesaker.is/israel-has-dropped-repeated-hints-at-a-major-strike-on-iranian-nuclear-facilities-in-the-near-future/ or http://thesaker.is/israel-has-dropped-repeated-hints-at-a-major-strike-on-iranian-nuclear-facilities-in-the-near-future/ ;

The US Air Force has developed a much larger bunker-busting bomb, the 2.5 tonne GBU 72, whose first (successful) test-drop from an F15 took place in July 2021. Israel has a handful of F15s, but no GBU 72s. The GBU 72’s penetration capabilities are not in the public domain but one source suggests that its design specification is to penetrate 50 metres of overburden and 5 metres of concrete. Even that enhanced penetration and blast power may be too little to damage the centrifuge chambers.

Apart from the challenges of targeting, an air strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities demands a 4,000 km/six-hour mission which would probably have to use Saudi air space. The mission would require refuels, either from Israel’s air tankers, or by landing in Saudi Arabia or UAE en route. A month ago Israel carried out a major long-range strike exercise over the eastern Mediterranean, practising air to air refuelling over distance and long endurance missions, and last week concluded a joint exercise with aircraft from the Greek, US, French and Italian air forces, Iniochos 2022, which included an Air Power Contribution to Land Ops component (a long name for ground attack).

Israel has scheduled major joint military exercises for this coming May. Exercises can be used to cover preparations for actual war. An attack would require much more than just the delivery of bunker-busting bombs. Iranian air defences would have to be detected and suppressed in advance, and assets would have to be placed in readiness to recover aircrew whose aircraft were either shot down or lost to accident or mechanical failure en route. An attack on Natanz would be likely to commit most of the Israeli air force and would require active cooperation and support from Sunni Gulf states in the provision of bases for search and rescue, emergency diversion and ground bases for electronic warfare assets.

The large GBU 72 may have marginal prospects for success. Israel may be seeking access to the even larger Massive Ordnance Penetrator. The MOP is a 14 tonne bunker-busting bomb which is reported to be capable of penetrating 60 metres of overburden, where it detonates a 2.5 tonne high explosive warhead with a large kill-radius. Use of the MOP would require use of USAF strategic bombers (the B2 Spirit, in practice) to deliver it.

DJ; Israel is already "integrated" (as a non-member) in NATO, with limited US presence (radar, communications, intel). An Israel attack on Iran will requier NATO, Arab cooperation.

DJ-I think Israel (with some "partners" ) is working on a missile-but would need several of them-to destroy Iran nuclear installations. But it would also need to limit Iran further military reaction.

It may be in the interest of Israel to also seek de-escalation. Security guarantees should prevent another major war.

Will NATO arm #Syria to stand against the Israeli aggressions? When are we seeing President Bashar al-Assad speaking to EU parliaments? When a #US ally bombs and destroys a sovereign country's infrastructure, it is ok. That is an act of "self-defence". #Doublestandards

Shanghai Police Telling Citizens Protesting Lockdown "We are going to have a war with America"

WORLD   HITS: 42463
 •
 •
 •

Sometimes, real facts pop-up in the strangest places.  This one is a doozy!

The City of Shanghai China has been in a new "COVID Lockdown" for a couple weeks.  23 Million people can't even leave their homes.   No work.  No food shopping. Nothing.

Protests are erupting.  People want this to end.

Shanghai police inadvertently slipped-up while on-camera, and provided the __real__ reason for what's going on:  This isn't a COVID lockdown, it is economic warfare being waged by China, against the United States.

By halting manufacturing in Shanghai and the surrounding region, parts and raw materials the US needs, aren't coming.   As such, industry in the U.S. is forced to shut down.

So what was it the Shanghai cops let slip?

"I'm telling you this is not caused by our police.  This is a result of the whole international situation.  We are going to have a war with America . . . Don't you know?"

DJ, Trying to get a perspective on the global political crises and basing that on 9far from perfect) sources that areNOT MSM...(It was the Main Stream Media that came up with "weapons of mass destruction" US excuses leading to the 2003 Iraq war-killing by now 1 million people in Iraq-some estimates.).

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russia-gives-ultimatum-to-mariupol-nazis-until-9-00-gmt-to-lay-down-their-weapons or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russia-gives-ultimatum-to-mariupol-nazis-until-9-00-gmt-to-lay-down-their-weapons ;

The Russian Ministry of Defense is publicly reporting they have given an ultimatum to the remaining Ukraine troops holding-out inside Mariupol: They have until 9:00 GMT to lay down their weapons.

The last time the Kremlin gave any kind of ultimatum, was in the late hours of February 23, and it was given to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.  That ultimatum told Zelensky that Ukraine had five hours to agree to Russia's terms:

 • Recognize Luhansk and Donetsk as "Independent" within Ukraine Constitutional framework, AND;
 • Agree to not join NATO, AND;
 • Purge the government, police, and military of NAZIS.

Ukraine forwarded the Kremlin ultimatum to the British Embassy and to the American State Department.   The three had conferences by phone or video and the consensus was that Ukraine should "ignore the ultimatum" which they did.

Two hours after that ultimatum expired, the Russian Army crossed Ukraine's border.

So clearly, Russians mean what they say when they give an ultimatum.

DJ There is no discussion on this ultimatum...There is some discussion on the seize of "Ukraine" resistance. Some indications are limited Ukraine forces outside the Azov-steel plant are still active.

AM Mentioning a Russian claim 200 Ukraine (?) fighters trying to reach the Azov Steel plant were "destroyed".  Russia now using "bunker-buster-bombs" to destroy the basements of some of the buildings in/around the Azov steel plant.

DJ-Hal Turner earlier came with a story of fire trucks using water to flood those basements...but if there is sewage/outlets the water coming in will get out...There were some claims of teargas being used...but in such a massive building closing some doors/ventilation may limit the effect of teargas...

AM Did make a mention of the steelplant still being of value for Donbas/Russian industry...(even some stories of a biolab in the basements...not that likely-to close to the front lines).

AM comparing other recent urban battles; Raqqa-Syria, Mosul-Iraq that did take months and did see very havy US bombings...DJ-on that-sad-list a.o. Aleppo in Syria-also did see months of fighting. From that perspective the damage and time in Mariupol has been limited.

-In the fog of war lots of info stay unclear; https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russia-announces-full-control-over-mariupol-shoot-down-of-cargo-plane-carrying-nato-weapons or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russia-announces-full-control-over-mariupol-shoot-down-of-cargo-plane-carrying-nato-weapons ;

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that Russian forces now control "all of Mariupol" after the surrender of 1,464 Ukraine troops.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, governor of the Donetsk region, told CNN the city was “no more,” leaving Russians with nothing left to seize.

“The enemy may seize the land Mariupol used to stand on, but the city of Mariupol has been wiped off the face of the earth by the Russian Federation.

NATO WEAPONS DELIVERY SHOT DOWN

There is now also word filtering out that Russian air defenses have SHOT DOWN a cargo plane carrying a shipment of NATO Weapons for Ukraine, but this is dicey . . .

Russia claims it downed a Ukrainian transport plane carrying weapons “in the Odessa region.”

There are no Ukrainian transport planes flying there, but there were some flying from Turkey to Poland.

At this point, the flag of the plane is believed to Be Ukrainian, but that is *NOT* confirmed.  (Could be a NATO Plane)

DJ https://liveuamap.com/ or https://liveuamap.com/ or https://community.defconwarningsystem.com/threads/ukraine-russia-april-11th-20th-reports.16267/page-10 or https://community.defconwarningsystem.com/threads/ukraine-russia-april-11th-20th-reports.16267/page-10 does not have any news on a transportplane being shot down over Ukraine...also non of it on twitter (yet)...

I also doubt if a plane would fly over any part of Ukraine if Ukraine was not its destination. Is there still an airfield in the Odessa region able to deal with transport planes ? Are there motorways capable of being used as a landingstrip ?

DJ,

part 2

AM discussing the "Moskva" (former "Slava") Russian 40 y/o flagship that did sink-most likely on its way to Sebastopol-Crimea. The US Pentagon did take over 24 hrs to "follow" Ukraine claims of two missiles hitting the "Moskva". AM has his doubts; Russia claims a munition-explosion on the ship itself did cause the explosion. Also lots of uncertainty on number of dead/wounded on the "Moskva"...Ukraine (and nationalistic/communist opposition in Russia) claim "hundreds of the 500 crew" did get killed or wounded. DoD-Russia still claiming no loss of life...

AM has the "Moskva" 8 kilometrs/5 miles from the Ukraine (Odessa ?) coast-main function radar control of the Ukraine/Romania coast. One of the few functions the "Moskva" could do...

-Another point AM makes is that western weapons being send into Ukraine so far do not make major changes. The US is sending some of the weapons meant for the Afghan army (and paid for from frozen Afghan bank accounts-with the Afghan people now facing a food crisis under taliban-rule). Other former Warsaw-Pact countries also sending in "old stuff"...point is the Ukraine military knows "the old weapons" and training for more modern weapons does take a lot of time.

Some claims UK-SAS giving training in the Kiev-region a.o. in the use of anti-tank weapons...AM; The west did send so much of the "easy-to-use" weapons to Ukraine they face shortages themselves.

AM also mentioning Russia warning the US against sending in more weapons. DJ There are claims of IS fighters active in parts of Ukraine-you may not want IS to get a hand on modern anti-air/tank weapons ! Also criminal groups, neo-nazi/other militia may use/sell those weapons for their goals...Will some of those weapons end up in the hands of Mexican drug-cartels ?

When you look at other wars with "militia's" involved a lot-if not most-weapons did not end up in the hands that were meant to end up with...

-AM ends his video with another call for de-escalation. Talks between Kiev and Russia now have stopped. No doubt under US pressure (UK-bojo-siding with biden...both have public support just above 30%...in a week from now the second round of elections in France...).

DJ-Again; what is the point of this war ??? It is another US-Russia battlezone-Syria may still be the other major US-Russia battlezone. AM "Obsession should not have a place in international diplomacy" referring to the US ("democratic party") obsession with Putin/Russia...(US republicans wanted war with China...).

I think it is to easy to only blame the US for this-ongoing and worsening-crisis. The EU did let this happen...They knew including Ukraine, Georgia in NAT would bring war with Russia...

China openly asking why there still is a NATO in the first place ? Article-10, "open doors" welcoming new members-ignoring safety concerns of others is asking for problems.

Including Sweden, Finland (as a compensation for not being able to "get "Ukraine, Georgia ?) in NATO does NOT increase global stability ! (DJ-Sweden has its own major defense industry. I do not think they want to give that up to buy US "NATO standard" weapons...NATO is a US weapons selling machine...).

-Risks of global-nuclear-war ?

China rather does bussinesses then wars...For China this crisis is a "golden oppertunity" to increase her market/interests in Africa, Latin America. India has had a good grain-harvest; willing to export grain (for Rupees) to Egypt, Turkey, Vietnam...also buying (for Rupees-trying to make its currency stronger) oil, coal from Russia.

The US-led "sanction war" on Russia is NOT a success !!! EU-members "follow for now" US "orders"...whoever wins the French elections-France may change the EU position in this. The sanction war is destroying the EU economy (the US is hit less hard-has its own grain, energy etc. can buy from Canada, Mexico etc.) .

Germany is now spending another 2 billion € on "the military" but with inflation going up and no end in sight-worse, the US pushing for a sanction war against China (and Iran...India also ???) makes the German government position even more impossible..

The German "green-party" now for the first time in a Federal German government-could face an uprising in its party when they would support coal, US-LNG...

DJ-The US is now getting hit with another pandemic wave, UK has high level of CoViD deaths-the EU may see yet another wave of CoViD in two-three months...and "leaders are fighting Russia, China"....insane !

What it means is that Russia-Iran-China  (RIC) may go for a "longer term strategy"; sitting out another wave of western insanity...trying to limit the damage. However there are "red lines"; China will NOT accept much more US activity in Taiwan...RIC military cooperation may further increase with RIC also pushing more economic warfare on "the west" and try to break up EU-UK-US cooperation...

I would not be surprised if both "bojo" and "biden" would not be in a major role at the end of this year...Western focus on Ukraine may end up with RIC getting major further positions in Africa, Latin America...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Putin’s War Will Destroy Russia

By attacking another European country, Putin crossed a line that was drawn after World War II – and changed the world. But he also changed Russia, from a functioning autocracy to a Stalinesque dictatorship, a country characterized by violent repression, inscrutable arbitrariness, and a massive brain drain.

How the Russian Orthodox Church is Helping Drive Putin’s War in Ukraine

To Vladimir Putin, Orthodox Christianity is a tool for asserting Moscow’s rights over sovereign Ukraine. In his February televised address announcing the recent invasion of Ukraine, he argued the inhabitants of that “ancient Russian land” were Orthodox from time immemorial, and now faced persecution from an illegitimate regime in Kyiv.

Led by Patriarch Kirill, the Russian Orthodox Church is one of the most tangible cultural bonds between Russia and Ukraine. The gilded domes of Kyiv’s Monastery of the Caves and St. Sophia Cathedral have beckoned pilgrims from across both lands for nigh on a thousand years.

With religious rhetoric, Putin taps into a long tradition that imagines a Greater Russia extending across present-day Ukraine and Belarus, in a combined territory known as Holy Rus’. Nostalgic for empire, this sees the spiritual unity of the three nations as key to Russia’s earthly power as an exceptional civilization. Encouraged by Putin’s “special operation,” Russian Orthodox nationalists are excitedly recalling the prophecy of a twentieth-century saint from Chernihiv, now one of Ukraine’s beleaguered cities. “Just as the One Lord God is the indivisible Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,” this monk fortold, “so Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus together are Holy Rus’ and cannot be separated.”

A former Russian lawmaker fighting for Ukraine told CNN Wednesday he believed Russian President Vladimir Putin's days were numbered because "no dictator can survive after losing the war."

Ilya Ponomarev has been living in Kyiv, Ukraine, since 2016 after he was ousted by the Russian parliament. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, the former politician took up arms and joined the Ukrainian forces.

Speaking from Kyiv, Ponomarev told CNN he decided to fight alongside Ukrainian troops because he wanted "to defend humanity and Europe." His role in the forces was unclear.

"No dictator can survive after losing the war," Ponomarev said of Putin, adding that the Russian leader "has no way how he can win the war."

"Putin will try to claim a certain victory — an imaginary victory — on May 9. I am absolutely certain about this, but the reality is that he is losing the war," he added. "I think that the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian people will not stop before Ukrainian territory will be free"

Mariupol survivors taken to former Russian chemical weapons base 600 miles from Ukraine border

INVESTIGATION

Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova has warned that more than 400 people, including 147 children, are in a fenced camp near the city of Penza, according to information she has received from concerned Russian citizens

Survivors from the Mariupol bomb shelters have been taken to a former Russian military base 600 miles from Ukraine which was used for decades as a dump for Soviet chemical weapons, it can be revealed.

Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova has warned that more than 400 people, including 147 children, are in a fenced camp near the city of Penza, according to information she has received from concerned Russian citizens.

i has used open-source intelligence techniques to locate the camp in Leonidovka, which after the Second World War was used as a munitions dump for Soviet chemical bombs.

From 2008, it was at the centre of the Russian Federation’s programme to disarm its arsenal of nerve agents including VX and sarin. The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons declared the disarmament programme complete in 2017.

The discovery of the camp comes after i revealed this week how Kremlin documents show that Vladimir Putin is sending thousands of Ukrainians to remote corners of Russia and as the country is gripped by a historic population decline.

Now that war criminal Putin has resorted to kidnapping civilians, Russia's designation as a terrorist state is assured. It's only a matter of time before he's eliminated....

Ms Denisova said she had spoken about the camp to Russians “who support Ukraine”, adding: “This is a closed-type institution with a few hulls, fenced and under guard at the entrance checkpoint. The freedom of movement of our citizens is limited – leaving the camp is forbidden.”

She said the Mariupol survivors “don’t have the necessary clothes, shoes, even underwear” and lack basic supplies such as children’s food or toiletries.

“Our citizens are in an extremely difficult and oppressed state,” she said. “They don’t know their fate, to which region of the Russian Federation they will be taken.”

The camp, which was used as a barracks for the base and has been described by Russian media as a “military town”, is around a mile to the nearest village and is 16 miles from the city of Penza.

It is surrounded by a fence with a gate and guardhouse and by a forest on four sides. The chemical plant and the walled munitions depot with 18 bunkers which were previously used for storing chemical weapons stand just over a mile to the south.

While the base ceased its chemical weapon disarmament programme in 2017, there have been long-standing concerns about pollution from the old Soviet munitions dump in Leonidovka and the location speaks to wider concerns about Ukrainians being sent to isolated parts of Russia hundreds of miles from the border.

Update(1632ET): In what appears Moscow's "answer" to the US and NATO countries continuing to supply major weapons systems to Ukrainian forces, state agency TASS is claiming that Russian forces have brought down a Ukrainian military transport plane that was transporting Western arms. It would mark a massive battlefield development if confirmed, potentially escalating conflict more directly with the West, now that Russia is actively targeting Western arms shipments.

The alleged shoot down occurred outside Odessa via anti-air systems, says TASS, while citing Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov. Though remaining unconfirmed, China state media has also picked up the report, citing the defense ministry statement, which reads:

“Near Odesa Russian anti-aircraft defense forces have shot down a Ukrainian military transport plane, which was delivering a large shipment of arms supplied to Ukraine by Western counties,” Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said Saturday.

However, there's nothing in the way of independent or outside sources confirming it, and Ukraine's military has not issued any statements, nor are they likely to admit that their military aircraft were transporting Western weapons shipments, even if accurate.

DJ Hal Turner mentioned it as well-also the "no further confirmation" part.

As the world waited for another rapid walk-back by White House staffers of another Biden gaffe, the 79-year-old doubled-down...

"Yes, I called it genocide. Because it has become clearer and clearer that Putin is just trying to wipe out the idea of being able to be Ukrainian."

The comments sparked reactions from around the diplomatic world.

French President Emmanuel Macron was the most outspokenrefusing to back Biden’s claim that Russia is committing “genocide” in Ukraine. The French leader instead warned that an escalation of rhetoric wouldn’t bring peace.

On the same day Biden accused Russia of genocide, Newsweek published an article quoting a senior official from the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency who said the civilian casualties in Ukraine are typical of modern warfare and “hardly” amount to genocide.

The DIA official: said "I am not for a second excusing Russia's war crimes, nor forgetting that Russia invaded the country."

"But the number of actual deaths is hardly genocide. If Russia had that objective or was intentionally killing civilians, we'd see a lot more than less than .01 percent in places like Bucha," the official emphasized.

As expected, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded, according to Reuters, emphasizing the hypocrisy of a US military machine which has committed "well-known crimes" in the recent past.

"This is hardly acceptable from a president of the United States, a country that has committed well-known crimes in recent times," Peskov described.

All of which leads to the weekend and a rather shocking report from no lessor mainstream media outlet than NBC News.

NBC News reported on Friday, citing senior government officials, that President Biden's accusation made earlier this week that Moscow was committing “genocide” in Ukraine has raised concerns among officials in the White House and has not been confirmed by US intelligence agencies.

The claim of genocide “has so far not been corroborated by information collected by US intelligence agencies,” the report said.

DJ Also media outside NATO countries ask critical questions on time-lines etc. Often the outcome of it may backfire at Ukraine (SBU)..."killing traitors" and neo-nazi/"nationalists" killing ethnic Russians...Also expecting civilians to fight tanks with molotov cocktails, release of criminals from prison-often provided with arms "to fight Russians" may explain some of the civilian deaths...

This does not rule out-however-the Russian army of pro-Russian militia may also be involved in war crimes. DJ-Putin his invasion in Ukraine in itself is a war crime and deserves the same treatment as warcrimes like the invasion of Iraq, supporting IS in Syria etc...

https://www.zerohedge.com/military/blinken-ukraine-war-will-last-through-2022 or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/blinken-ukraine-war-will-last-through-2022 ;

Authored by Dave DeCamp via AntiWar.com,

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Washington’s European allies that the US believes the war in Ukraine could last through the end of 2022, CNN reported Friday, citing two European officials.

The report said that many Western officials have assessed there’s no short-term end in sight for the war, and public comments from US officials have reflected this. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has warned of a “protracted conflict” that he said could go on “for months or even longer.”

Last week, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley has said he believes the war will continue for years. “I do think this is a very protracted conflict, and I think it’s measured in years. I don’t know about decade, but at least years for sure,” he told the House Armed Services Committee.

A senior State Department official told CNN that Blinken has “has discussed with his counterparts our concern that the conflict could be protracted, but all of his engagements have revolved around how best to bring it to a halt as quickly as possible.”

But Blinken hasn’t explored diplomacy with Russia as a potential avenue to bring about an end to the war. Blinken hasn’t spoken with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, since February 15, and President Biden doesn’t appear to have plans to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Instead of diplomacy with Moscow, the US is significantly increasing its military aid to Ukraine. On Wednesday, Biden authorized a new $800 million weapons package for Ukraine, bringing the total military aid pledged since Russia invaded on February 24 to about $2.6 billion.

A second senior State Department official told CNN that the US has “done a lot and so we do have faith and we always had faith in our Ukrainian partners. But as the fight doubles down, so does our commitment to give them weapons and equipment that they can use.”

Russia formally warned the US this week to stop arming Ukraine in a diplomatic note sent to the State Department by the Russian Embassy in Washington. The Russians said that the Western campaign to arm Ukraine was “adding fuel” to the conflict and could lead to “unpredictable consequences.”

Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in negotiations, but the US and its allies have signaled they don’t want Kyiv to grant any concessions to Moscow.

The Washington Post reported last week that for some NATO members “it’s better for the Ukrainians to keep fighting, and dying, than to achieve a peace that comes too early or at too high a cost to Kyiv and the rest of Europe.”

DJ-Ukraine needs 7 billion (US$/€) per month to keep a basic economy going...The US, UK, Poland are the "NATO hardliners"...fast losing support from even other NATO members because of the economic collapse that is unfolding in many western countries...

In 1979, two years before Reagan became the 40th president of the United States, Sekora had been recruited by the CIA. He worked as an intelligence officer within the Office of Technical Services. He was a physicist by training, having entered the University of Michigan at the age of 15 and then attended Miami University for graduate studies. In 1983, Sekora transferred from the CIA to the Defense Intelligence Agency, and Project Socrates was born.

Although he and his colleagues at Project Socrates had identified the China threat for Reagan, Sekora told me, and were working on strategies to contain that threat, when President Bush came into office, his administration “abolished Socrates to appease certain allies.”

Sekora agreed to answer a few of my questions, and presented his view that the United States is mistakenly focused on finance-based rather than technology-based planning and strategy in addressing the challenge posed by China. Our conversation is presented in an edited form for the sake of length and clarity.

The China threat has only grown. Today, Sekora said, China is winning because it is putting strategic technologies first.

[It] is executing an offensive/defensive adroit game of worldwide technology exploitation chess. As a result, China will continue to out maneuver the U.S. R&D no matter how much money we spend. That is what has enabled China to become a superpower faster than any country in the history of the world. China’s rise to power is not based on cheap labor, currency manipulation and a little theft of U.S. technology as all the experts maintain. If that was all that China was doing, China would still be only producing hand assembled trinkets, as they did in the 1950s, instead of beating the U.S. in quantum, AI, biotech, et cetera.

While he has dealings with Congress, the Department of Defense, and the intelligence community, Sekora said he is deeply frustrated by what he sees and hears, because “none of what is being executed or proposed by these organizations has any chance of countering China.”

It was reported last week that Ukrainian Nazi's were coming to the UK to train up on weapons, now its been revealed by a UK newspaper the SAS are in Ukraine training Ukrainian forces.

"British SAS troops have trained Ukrainian forces for the first time since the Russian military offensive began, in February, Ukrainian commanders told The Times on Friday.

Instructors from the UK were previously withdrawn from the country, two months ago, when NATO member states were expecting a Russian assault.

The British have now returned to teach locals how to use NLAWs, UK-supplied shoulder-fired anti-tank missile launchers."

The president of the European Commission has urged member states to supply Ukraine with weapons systems “quickly” and suggested that a next round of EU sanctions could target Russia’s powerful Sberbank and include an embargo on Russian oil.

“It applies to all member states: those who can should deliver quickly, because only that way Ukraine can survive in its acute defensive battle against Russia,” Ursula von der Leyen told Germany’s Bild am Sonntag newspaper.

Several European nations appear to be vacillating over the export of heavy weapons such as tanks or fighter jets, amid concerns that such a move could formally escalate the war in Ukraine into a direct conflict between Russia and Nato member states.

DJ,

Ursula von der Leyen also gave Zelensky papers to start EU membership...only problem is-von der Leyen does not make that kind of decissions...memberstates decide on new EU members...maybe Poland could support Ukraine becoming an EU member "soon" ...as good as all other EU members even want to avoid this discussion (on Ukraine joining the EU...).

Germany did promise to "spent billions of Euro's" extra on "defense" and sending weapons to Ukraine...however much higher energy prices, less tax income, could result in making that kind of "political bla bla" again empty words...first goal for any western government has to be limiting inflation...otherwise it may even endanger government basic jobs, see a lot of public unrest...

DJ-I am against further expansion of NATO...maybe some extreme right wing parties-for now-claim to share that view..the "green-left" now is pro-NATO...bizarre..crazy...

in short:

-AM discussing the number of Ukraine forces defending Mariupol...earlier estimates put that at 14,000-now just over 8,000 may be a more realistic estimate. DJ-problem may be in "civil defense units"...there were some claims of up to 20,000 people defending Mariupol...

ASOVSTAL Steel Mill now under heavy bombardment and burning.

The Ultimatum for Ukraine troops to put down their weapons and surrender by 9:00 GMT has long expired.

The militant AZOV Brigade Nazis had a chance to leave and survive; they chose not to.

About one hour ago, the Russian Army ordered all units to attack the plant.  It is being mercilessly bombed right now and is on fire.

UPDATE 3:16 PM EDT --

Ministry of Defense of Russia: Basements with militants at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol will not be stormed.

Supersonic bombers, Tu-22M3 Backfire-C, will bomb plant with high explosive demolition bombs FAB-3000.

Then will be use Heavy Flamethrower System TOS-1A Solntsepyok.

DJ-War is about the "lowest" civilization can bring...There may be around 1,000 people defending that plant-now being ripped apart...

-AM Some estimates Ukraine losses could be 25,000 soldiers killed (Russian claim-with statistics on where, when, burial sites...). Ukraine claiming "only" 3,000 fighters being killed-and over 8,000 (pro) Russian forces...DJ-I think "tens-of-thousends" already died in this war...terrible-what kind of people are we to think killing thousends of people in lots of wars is acceptable ?

For US weapons manufacturers, Ukraine is the new Afghanistan, only better. They can charge full retail for sub-par weapons that will be destroyed before possible use. DJ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reilly,_Ace_of_Spies or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reilly,_Ace_of_Spies was one of my favorite TV series-also describing how weapon producers made lots of money in wars over a 100 years ago...

-AM also mentioning Russian claims of foreign fighters. Over 1,000 of them already killed. There are supposed to be 400 foreign fighters in the Azov steel plant-stopped from surrendering by both Kiev orders and "extremists" although at least some of those westerners themselves are the extremists...

-AM mentioning Russia claim of those "foreign fighters" will not be seen as "regular army" but as criminals...(AM questioning that view. DJ neo-nazi's now being caught in Mariupol may be "shot on sight". The alternative is a life long prison sentence...

-On the Moskva-flagship. In Sebastopol-Crimea a ceromony was held for the crew. The captain of the ship also was there. Some 150-200 (out of 500) crew members...Russia claimed as good as no loss of lives on the Moskva...Ukraine claiming several hundred...

-AM, a reason why the US Pentagon is thinking twice on giving info on the sinking of the Moskva could be a NATO country being involved.... DJ There are claims a UK aircraft guided the Ukraine missiles to the Moskva...Both Kiev and the US may not be happy with this escalation...

-AM does not think that the sinking of the Moskva did change the Russian strategy...I think he may be wrong there...both the sinking of the Moskva and attacks by Ukraine in Russia may result in Russia now using more "brutal force" in the war...DJ-There could be some 40,000 Ukraine soldiers being "locked in" in the east of Ukraine...Russia may now bomb them to pieces...

DJ-Again, in my opinion war is "the darkest side of man kind"...a terrible aspect of history...The "drift" to "kill each other" may end us as humans...

-AM mentioned "rumours" as well of an Ukraine transport plane-most likely flying from Poland-being shot down near Odessa.

-Erdogan/Turkey asked Russia for help liberating hostages in an Mariupol Turkish Mosque...Russia special forces killed 29 (no doubt neo nazi/fascist) "fighters" and most likely the hostages were transported to Azerbaijan...

DJ-The strategic role of Mariupol lies in its location on the landroute between Crimea and Russia...with the "fall" (=killing of some 1,000 people by bombings) of Mariupol Russia now controls all of the Sea of Azov.

I will do the show from here likely all this week.

DJ Hal Turner has a lot of non-sense on his site (in my opinion) but fear of the US itself being attacked I think could be realistic. Both Russia and China see the US as the main motor for conflict-and with that the main target...

The Russian state, Russian society, the propaganda machine – everything seems to be running out of the last days of the holidays. No one is to blame for being in the war. But the war has begun, and we need to be ready for it, to be united like never before, we need to get rid of illusions and stop playing spillikins.

This war is for a long time.

We will win.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has made innumerable territorial claims to various parts of the South and East China Seas in the past, and has even gone so far as to construct artificial islands containing military outposts to expand its footprint in the South China Sea. Thus, the deployment will likely support the regime’s expansionist ambitions.

A report by the State Department published in January found that the methods used by the CCP to artificially inflate its territorial claims had “no coherent legal basis” in international laws or norms.

The expansion, and now the J-20s deployment, will likely continue to heighten tensions between the United States and the CCP, as experts warn that the communist regime is the most likely actor to engage American forces in a military conflict.

The deployment of the J-20s might in this regard be seen to mark a continued effort by the CCP to escalate military tensions and demonstrate its own prowess as a global military power.

Earlier in April, for example, the regime made a similar effort when it delivered new missile systems to Serbia. On that occasion, six Chinese military aircraft flew through NATO airspace. Some of them had removed the coverings of their chaff and flare countermeasures—defensive systems to help evade missile attacks—in an apparent effort to signal that they were ready to engage in conflict.

The CCP’s chest thumping is not without its risks, however. The deployment of the J-20 likely means longer deployments and further-reaching patrols by the Chinese forces, which could see them come into more close encounters with the U.S. military.

On the reverse of the coin, the opportunity will also present the United States and its allies with the opportunity to collect vital diagnostic data on the J-20 in the wild, thus providing valuable insights to uncovering its weaknesses and ultimately defeating it, if necessary, in combat.

DJ The "CCP" is the Chinese government...US actions (on Taiwan etc) indicate the US would like regime change in Bejing...China "may want to limit" US "presence" in/near what China sees as her "sphere of influence"...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-eu-sacrificing-ukraine-weaken-russia-former-nato-adviser or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-eu-sacrificing-ukraine-weaken-russia-former-nato-adviser ; JACQUES BAUD:  Well, I think the Russians have totally lost faith in the West.  I think that’s the main thing.  They don’t trust the West anymore, and that’s why I think now they rely on a total victory on the military side in order to have some benefits in the negotiation.

DJ Maybe for "the west" making agreements only to break them is acceptable...the rest of the world may be fed up with that "exceptionalism"....Also enforcing the US$ for international trade and the US telling other countries with who they can have trade is going "much to far" (and is endangering even EU-US relations).

Again https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Service-Members%27_Protection_Act or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Service-Members%27_Protection_ActThe Hague Invasion Act, is a United States federal law which aims "to protect United States military personnel and other elected and appointed officials of the United States government against criminal prosecution by an international criminal court to which the United States is not party."

is totally unacceptable ! (And I do not understand why the NL government did not protest against such insanity much stronger !)

DJ,

Alexander Mercouris/AM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OHFE3iQ7Jo or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OHFE3iQ7Jo ;

Russia 'Grinding Down Ukrainian Resistance' in Donbass, Mariupol, FT Warns of Stagflation News Topic 470 Ukraine War & Aftermath https://thedreizinreport.com/

In short;

-Russian strategy is destroying armies-not occupation of land

-Donbas offensive never stopped but is now increasing

-More parts of Ukraine-under Russian control-look for referendum on joining Russia

-The west could have avoided this war by making clear Ukraine would not join NATO and has to take interests/security of ethnic Russians seriously

DJ-Faillure to show basic respect has now resulted in tens of thousends of deaths in Ukraine. Outcome of this war may be the end of Ukraine, it may end up as part of Russia.

The US idea of "long lasting war' may run into some problems. Russia is destroying more infrastructure and storage spaces so western supplies can not get to the frontlines. The Ukraine (and other ?) armies are running out of even fuel/transport. Also motivation for this war in Ukraine may be gone...in fact it is the US-and UK (even more) fighting Russia in Ukraine.

The general idea is that by may 9 "some goals must be reached" -in Russia may 9 is remembrance day for the end of World War Two.

https://www.zerohedge.com/military/inside-ukraine-induced-defense-contractor-gold-rush-pentagon or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/inside-ukraine-induced-defense-contractor-gold-rush-pentagon

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has brought immense suffering to the people of that land, while sparking calls for increased military spending in both the United States and Europe. Though that war may prove to be a tragedy for the world, one group is already benefiting from it: U.S. arms contractors.

Even before hostilities broke out, the CEOs of major weapons firms were talking about how tensions in Europe could pad their profits. In a January 2022 call with his company’s investors, Raytheon Technologies CEO Greg Hayes typically bragged that the prospect of conflict in Eastern Europe and other global hot spots would be good for business, adding that “we are seeing, I would say, opportunities for international sales… [T]he tensions in Eastern Europe, the tensions in the South China Sea, all of those things are putting pressure on some of the defense spending over there. So I fully expect we’re going to see some benefit from it.”

DJ, politicians-for-sale turn democracy into democrazy...putting "zillions of dollars" into a destruction-war-industry is criminal. Macron-France-mentioned 60 million refugees on their way...the outcome of this kind of political crimes. Ukraine itself has 25% of its population displaced.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2022-04-18/russian-investors-less-affected-ukraine-war-uk-counterparts-poll or https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2022-04-18/russian-investors-less-affected-ukraine-war-uk-counterparts-poll

While 66% of British investors report a drop in portfolio value amid the war, only 52% of Russian investors have lost money on their country’s stock market and 56% have earned on the fall of the ruble.

Russian Investors Experience Less Losses Than Their British Counterparts

London, April 6, 2022 — Russian investors have experienced less financial loss than their British counterparts since the start of the war in Ukraine, revealed a survey released today by uk.Investing.com.

DJ The "sanction war" may be a US tool to destroy the EU with European politics being that stupid to even cooperate. With the EU "out", Russia weakened the US could play a major role in Asia...may de the unrealistic plan of a US elite.

However since "the west" only make agreements to break them the rest of the world may not be having that much trust in that "west"...

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/the-ukraine-is-still-losing-so-what-is-its-plan.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/the-ukraine-is-still-losing-so-what-is-its-plan.html

DJ-This-like most-wars is fought over control of supplies. Russia still has plenty, Ukraine is running out. AM mentioned the Ukraine armed forces had 250,000 military-about 10% of that by now is killed, wounded or POW (Prisonor Of War). Western supplies are not even enough to cover losses. (MoA also wondering if UK explosives did damage the Moskva. https://mobile.twitter.com/realGonzaloLira or https://mobile.twitter.com/realGonzaloLira now a Ukraine hostage ?)

https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/04/17/new-thrills-await/ or https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/04/17/new-thrills-await/

We’ll get to more exciting things shortly.  Below is a video of a garage full of Humvees—some intact but in need of wheels, some damaged, some being cannibalized for parts—in Mariupol.  You don’t need a translator to know the Chechen serviceman is thanking Brandon for the vehicles.

There’s mountains more gear that has been captured by Russian and Donetsk forces, but this stood out for me, because the stuff is so obviously American.

DJ Is the US "government" goal to send even more taxpayers money to shareholders of the MIC ? Maybe stop fighting/starting wars for that...use tax money for the general good and stop destroying countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Yugoslavia, Yemen, now Ukraine...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Russian Troops 'Storming Azovstal' as Ukraine Says Russia Has Begun Phase 2 Donbass Offensive News Topic 471

in short;

-Ukraine on a daily basis using US anti-tank supplies meant for a week. Reservists (DJ some very young) now fighting Russian army untrained often.

DJ Ukraine is at 122 of 180 for 'no corruption"-I hope "the west" is keeping an eye on what is happening with those weapons...claims are a lot are destroyed in air attacks, or fall in Russian/militia hands...but there have been reports/claims some Ukraine military are selling/giving weapons to pro-Russia militia...

-Lavrov gave a long interview on India Today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecpRrep0twE or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecpRrep0twE

Zelenskyy Wanted Nuclear Weapons, India Old Friend & Strategic Partner | Sergey Lavrov EXCLUSIVE

According to Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, the current situation in Ukraine is a direct result of the US and West's desire to rule and dominate the world. In an exclusive interview with India Today, he said, "The current events are rooted in the US and West's desire to rule the world. They wanted to show the world there would be no multipolarity, only unipolarity, and created a springboard [Ukraine] against us [Russia] at our borders. They pumped arms into Ukraine." He added, "The real reason [for the war] is the complacency of most countries after World War II. They violated their promises to Russian leadership and started moving Nato eastward after the Soviet Union disappeared. They said it’s a defensive alliance and not a threat to Russian security."

DJ; AM believes; Russian offensive in Donbas did start/go on...so for that matter not a new phase. Also Lavrov/Russia may still be willing to have talks with the west.

AM does not see the point of western interests of keeping the Ukraine war going...

DJ-If NATO did not want Ukraine to join NATO soon-lots of indications of NATO investments could point to plans for "some form" of NATO inclusion. From training/weapons to the UK building a new Ukraine Navy port-before the Russian invasion...

Also prior to the invasion Ukraine started heavy shelling of Eastern Ukraine (plus increase incidents with Crimea). Some claims-with NATO help-Ukraine was planning major attacks..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEBb_CknQP8 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEBb_CknQP8 ; WION-India China said today that it has signed a security pact with the Solomon Islands. The US is mounting a diplomatic response. Molly Gambhir tells you why America is concerned.

DJ Both China and India want to "balance their stand" not to be seen as (to) close to Russia. Both claim to go for "active neutrality" and put national interests first-wich also means they do not go for NATO/US-led sanctions.

I can not help but think the main reason for this insane war-killing tens of thousends on the battlefield-soon millions in a global famine-is the outcome of biden/US "democrats" hate against Putin.."russia-gate insanity...Putin made Trump US president...

Update (13:15 ET): What was largely a theoretical modeling exercise until moments ago, is set to go live because Reuters reports that the EU is set to declare a full embargo on Russian oil after this weekend's French election:

 • EU GAS PRICE TO SHOOT UP AS EU TO DECLARE EMBARGO ON RUSSIAN OIL AFTER FRENCH ELECTION NEXT WEEK - SOURCE

Why wait until after the election to launch the embargo? Simple: Europe's bureaucrats are correctly terrified that the coming oil price spike to push the vote in Le Pen's favor, which is why Europe will wait until after the election (when Macron will supposedly be the next president of France, as Belgium hopes) to announce it publicly.

DJ, this most likely will DESTROY the EU economy...The article (based on a JP Morgan story) claims China, India, Turkey did increase energy imports from Russia...(DJ Since India has not yet pipelines with Russia there are limits-has to go by ship or train/truck) if the EU stopped buying Russian energy non-Russian energy prices would explode...

Besides that-if there is a link with the French elections in its timing-further social unrest may explode...

DJ,

A reaction on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkWFGdfEZhM or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkWFGdfEZhM  Alexander Mercouris/AM ;Intense Battles in Donbass, Endgame in Azovstal, As Inflation Storm Clouds Gather over the West News Topic 472

DJ-my opinion, trying to gat a limited but more realistic view then western/Ukraine propagand is giving;

-AM discussing Russian strategy in Ukraine of first destroying armies and then-if need be-go for control over land. (DJ-That strategy in Syria meant pro-Assad forces taking control, in Ukraine it may mean pro-Russian Ukraine government...but again, I would not be surprised if Russia did simply put a larger part of Ukraine in Russia...annexation. )

-Russia itself did not claim phase-2 had started; that are western/Ukraine claims...AM mentions phase 3 may be in the south Nikolayev/Odessa. DJ-Ukraine has a major part of its army in the east-so why would phase 2 not be in the south ? Russia taking control over Ukraine Black Sea coast al the way to Moldova/Romania and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria ?

-DJ-my view; biden hates Putin to the bone...It was biden-and a group of followers-that pushed for this war. Ukraine started renewed shelling on Donbas prior to the Russian invasion. That Russian action was part of the biden c.s. plan...The idea was "the world would be shocked by Russian agression" -massive sanctions would end Putin in Moscow...

Only problem-that idea was wrong from the start....1. Over time the west did get more and more isolated. trump breaking all kinds of agreements faster then new agreements could be made (from the Iran-deal, INF, to calling Jerusalem Israels capitol, trade wars), western regime change wars since 2000...The world has seen enough of it...Losing the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria also did not help...

2 Why should countries hang on to overuse of a US$ for (global/energy) trade ? Defending the US$ is a US interest...often against their own interests...Saudi Arabia wanted oil-deals with China in yuan, India buying Russian energy in Rupees...NATO killed leaders that wanted to give up the petro-dollar so far-however Russia, Iran, China (Venezuela) may be to big a job...

3 Enlarging NATO for most of the world is seen as agression...breaking 1991 agreements with Russia of not "moving one inch"...

So there was NO global sanctions war against Russia...The "biden illusion" of the US still being the only global super power turned out to be very incorrect...

In reaction to NO global sanctions-in fact only NATO ones (Yes-Australia claim to have sanctions on Russia-only hardly had much trade with Russia...more or less both countries are exporting raw materials...) "the west" went on increasing further sanctions; SWIFT-international banking, sportevents, increase pressuere on India-wich buys 1/60th of what the EU still is buying in energy from Russia) and China...

DJ-What went wrong there ? Both the EU (oil, gas) and the US (Ural-oil, uranium) had no alternative for buying Russian energy...so demanding other countries-that buy less-to stop their trade while the west did keep buying Russian energy, minerals etc. because they were "strategic" so "excluded from sanctions"...

I think the non-western world by that time was already questioning western sanity...

Because sanctions-even financial ones-did not stop Russia (the west is paying for that war ! The EU only recently stopped selling weapons to Russia !) we now are sending all kinds of military goods...from anti-tank weapons to planes...

MoA, AM and many others now are asking where do all those weapons go ? Ukraine is using anti-tank weapons-meant to last for a week in just one day...Growing fears a lot of those weapons may end up in hands the west will not like...Russia claiming to catch loads of it...also destroying depots...Ukraine has a growing supplies crisis, no refinnery left...infrastructure being destroyed to stop western influx...

So-given bidens obsession/insanity-next step NATO moving in ? A "covert" war becoming an "overt" war between the US and Russia ? biden going for a fight with Putin ????

The US did sell/send a lot of its strategic oil to the EU/UK...already a lot of weapons from NATO now is wasted in Ukraine...The west is facing a growing economic crisis, inflation...a major political crisis will be next...(pandemic, climate change only come on top of this "economy-first mass destruction"....).

part 2,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DssbUFME7g or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DssbUFME7g ; WION-India; Is Imran Khan planning a 'rebellion'? Pakistani lawmakers say he's pushing the country into a civil war. They say full-fledged civil unrest is now imminent. Will the former Pakistani Prime Minister succeed? Molly Gambhir gets you a report.

DJ The US bribed some politicians in Pakistan to vote against Imran Khan...The Pakistan army is a major factor-running security and foreign policy in Pakistan for decades (also was involved in Afghanistan-under US pressure-for decades. trump destroyed US-Pakistan relations...only a (military) elite now is pro-western).  But even in the Pakistan army now division is showing up...Imran Khan is pushing for elections soon...he would win those...

Imran Khan (a very big ego) was in Moscow visiting Putin when Russia started its invasion in Ukraine (in reaction to Ukraine shelling a.o. civil targets in the Donbas-killing up to 14,000 ethnic Russians since 2014). Khan wanted to secure fertilizer-basics from Russia. Under Khan's leadership the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor further increased in importance. TIP-cooperation Turkey-Iran-Pakistan did start before Khan his government...

The US is NOT happy with Pakistan doing bussiness with Russia, Iran, China...and the US was involved in many coups in Pakistan.

However Khan is fighting back...China was willing to do bussiness with the military/elite, Russia has enough buyers for its fertilizers, grain etc. but both Khan and large groups in Pakistan are fed up with de facto US rule in Pakistan...

That sentiment is shared by many countries...US$ being enforced, the US interfering in their internal affairs...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Q19QJpJ4s&t=910s or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Q19QJpJ4s&t=910s ; https://democracynow.org - As special counsel Robert Mueller continues his probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, we take a look back at Washington’s record of meddling in elections across the globe. By one count, the United States has interfered in more than 80 foreign elections between 1946 and 2000. And that doesn’t count U.S.-backed coups and invasions. We speak to former New York Times reporter Stephen Kinzer, author of “Overthrow: America’s Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq.”

DJ After de-colonization in the 60's and 70's lots of former colonies did find themselves facing just another form of colonization...the west telling them what products they would buy at what price...Most of the times the west putting an elite in power to support western interests...so "independence" became empty...

DJ What I find interesting is the "Dutch role" in it all; Teddy Roosevelt, with the US-Spanish war 1898-1903 (US taking Cuba, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Philipines) his grandson Kermit being involved in the Iran coup of 1953...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Netherland or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Netherland ended in 1674 by the British taking Nieuw Amsterdam, renaming it New York...the "Dutch" (a lot of them were from Germany, some France, Jewish etc) were named "Yankee" (after JanKees or Janneke-Dutch names)..in 1776 most likely those "Yankees" plaid a major role in kicking the British out...is regime-change repeating itself in US (foreign) policy ???

On Pakistan-it may be to early to tell how things may develop. As far as I understand it a possible outcome could be Pakistan elite accepting Khan as long as he is willing to work (more) in their interests..partly also to avoid a civil war. Pakistan needs its neighbours more the "far away" US...Asia has 4 billion (young) consumers...The economic elite in Korea, India, Pakistan but also the EU may not close their eyes for that...

part 3,

https://t.me/ScottRitter/27 or https://t.me/ScottRitter/27When reports emerged that Gonzo Lira, a Chilean social media “influencer” who resided in Kharkov, Ukraine, and who published online content critical of the Ukrainian government, was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by the Kraken Unit, part of the Azov battalion affiliated with the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), the West is silent.
Free speech isn’t a one way street. To remain silent in the murder of Gonzo Lira is to be complicit in his death, and the deaths of all journalists who pursue the truth, even if it runs counter to the mainstream narrative. Critical thinking should not be a death sentence. Unfortunately for Gonzo Lira, it seems it was.

DJ I followed https://mobile.twitter.com/realGonzaloLira or https://mobile.twitter.com/realGonzaloLira ...he worked for more "alternative" media...If he has been murdered by western backed fascists it puts another big ?  on western elite...In 1933 hitler was seen as the "better alternative for stalin" in most of the west...It was well known hitler wanted a war with Russia-then the Soviet Union. The "west" had no real problems with that...(When in april 1940 Germany invaded Norway UK forces helped Norwegian forces...but those UK forces were meant to go to Finland to fight stalin...It is historically incorrect to claim the Fins were an ally of Germany eventhough the both were fighting the Soviet Union...sharing an enemy does not make good friends...).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_Assange or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_Assange now will be send to the US...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks ; WikiLeaks (/ˈwɪkilks/) is an international non-profit organisation that publishes news leaks[3] and classified media provided by anonymous sources.[4] Its website, initiated in 2006 in Iceland by the organisation Sunshine Press,[5] stated in 2015 that it had released online 10 million documents in its first 10 years.[6] Julian Assange, an Australian Internet activist, is generally described as its founder and director.[7] Since September 2018, Kristinn Hrafnsson has served as its editor-in-chief

DJ How can democracy function if the "free press" is embedded and has become-for the most-an instrument of propaganda ?

Democracy becomes democrazy when every Euro, Dollar or Yen counts instead of any vote...Politics as a stepping stone for a bussiness carreer...not serving the public but self interests, company interests...

Puttin "economy first" even when that economy is destroying the planet in many ways, resulting in pandemics killing even millions more...How can "democracy" work when it is supposed to be limited to a few rich countries keeping other countries poor and run by a pro western elite ? That is not real democracy but "anger management" to keep a basis status que in power...

DJ-The western-de facto anti-democratic elite-is now facing competition from "less democratic" countries like Russia, China...Yes-I have freedom of speech-but hardly any listeners..If I had more listeners and a more risky/better story I may not have that much freedom. Or even get killed, blackmailed, internet being messed up...

Will the western elite go to global war to avoid a non-western elite taking over ? Looking at history most likely is "one elite will work for another elite"...From that perspective the political crisis in the west-that is on its way-will be more of "who can get the best positions" working for another elite...the economy is essential for elite-power...

I only hope more wars can be avoided, further escalation (by biden c.s.) stops...because if we end up in "elites fighting each other" (like in previous global wars in earlier times) without limits we all may die...

DJ https://www.dw.com/en/eurozone-sees-record-inflation-in-march/a-61532605 or https://www.dw.com/en/eurozone-sees-record-inflation-in-march/a-61532605 and https://www.inflation.eu/en/ or https://www.inflation.eu/en/ did AM mention German inflation (year to year) now 13 %...no producer inflation in Germany now at 30% !!!

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/04/20/economy/germany-inflation-producer-prices-record/index.html or https://edition.cnn.com/2022/04/20/economy/germany-inflation-producer-prices-record/index.html ;

German annual producer price inflation topped 30% in March, the country's Federal Statistics Office said on Wednesday. That's its highest level since the agency began collecting data 73 years ago.
The biggest culprit? Energy prices, which rose nearly 84% from the same month last year.

"Mainly responsible for the high rise of energy prices were the strong price increases of natural gas... which was [up] 144.8% on March 2021," the statistics office said in a statement.
It is one of first signs of the huge impact Russia's invasion of Ukraine is having on the German economy, Europe's biggest. Producer prices rose by nearly 5% between February and March alone.
Consumers should brace themselves. Factory gate inflation feeds into retail prices, and shoppers can expect to spend more on everything from furniture to meat, according to Wednesday's figures.
German consumer price inflation is already at a 41-year high, hitting 7.3% last month. Energy prices were the main contributor, up almost 40% from the previous month.

DJ, so growing tensions in EU members, UK, US....split between those "leaders" pushing for more weapons and even more money to a corrupt puppet regime in Ukraine and the more "realistic leaders" making the point this is selfdestruction...

The G7 made a statement that "sanctions would harm Russia the most-limit damage to other countries"...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IVYlZjd4uU or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IVYlZjd4uU WION-India...A western walk out by the G7 from the G20 (DJ an insult to other G20 members) because the "west" did not want to "zoom" with the Russian minister of finance DJ may result in further isolation of that west...

AM mentioning scholtz in Germany, bojo in the UK may see replacement-but by "leaders" without alternatives for their insane tunnelvision...In the US mid-term elections may bring some change (AM idea)...DJ those elections are in november...before that biden/NATO will further escalate wars...

In France macron may beat le pen...or the other way round...there will be mass protests/riots because the political elite has lost contact with most of the voters...

The picture I get is more and more the military are warning against sending endless numbers of weapons to Ukraine...where they end up "in a black hole"...Is a corrupt "ukraine leader" selling those weapons ???? Also sending 7 billion $/€ per month to keep "ukraine "government/corruption" going is getting bizarre...

DJ-With the Ukraine army being eroded, also "the west" as a global political power is eroding itself out of total stupidity...https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/new-world-disorder-what-un-vote-russia-really-reveals-about-global-politics or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/new-world-disorder-what-un-vote-russia-really-reveals-about-global-politics simply is NOT getting it...;

 • What has been eroding for some years now is the commitment of American leaders to defend, maintain, and advance an international order in which states observe common rules and standards, embrace liberal economic systems, renounce territorial conquests, respect the sovereignty of national governments, and adopt democratic reforms.

DJ, The US wants to rule the world by setting its own rules above the UN, earlier agreements etc. It is-in the eyes of most of the world-the west that keeps breaking agreements, rules..But the west is blind...

DJ,

What is the US-led NATO war in Ukraine-with Russia about ? Global control over energy...with the US seeking "dominance" and "exceptionalism"...even some other NATO countries now openly question why we ended up in this war...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/turkey-says-some-nato-members-want-prolonged-ukraine-war-order-weaken-russia or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/turkey-says-some-nato-members-want-prolonged-ukraine-war-order-weaken-russia

According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, Cavusoglu did not think the war would last long after Russia and Ukraine held peace talks in Istanbul last month. But following a NATO foreign ministers meeting, he was given the impression that some alliance members don’t want the war to end.

Since Russia invaded on February 24, the US and many of its NATO allies have abandoned diplomacy with Russia. Instead of seeking a diplomatic solution, the Western powers are pouring weapons into Ukraine and waging an economic sanctions campaign against Russia.

The view among some NATO members on the war was summarized by a recent report from The Washington Post...

The report said: "For some in NATO, it’s better for the Ukrainians to keep fighting, and dying, than to achieve a peace that comes too early or at too high a cost to Kyiv and the rest of Europe."

DJ A pipeline for Russian gas transport to Pakistan https://tass.com/economy/1441673 or https://tass.com/economy/1441673

MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. The organization of the new government in Pakistan will not affect implementation of the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline project with Russia, a source in the government told TASS on Friday.

"It will not affect," the source said.

The continuity exists on such matters in the Pakistani policy, the source noted. The parties are now coordinating legal aspects of project execution, he added.

The intergovernmental agreement on construction of the North-South gas pipeline (the Pakistan Stream) was signed by Russia and Pakistan in October 2015. Project implementation timeframe has been repeatedly postponed since then.

I do not expect gas will be paid in US$...Maybe India will be connected to a pipeline from Russia in the west of China ?

MOSCOW — The Russian army will try to take full control over eastern and southern Ukraine, a top general was quoted as saying Friday, a day after Moscow announced the “liberation” of Mariupol.

“Since the start of the second phase of the special operation… one of the tasks of the Russian army is to establish full control over the Donbas and southern Ukraine,” Major General Rustam Minnekaev was cited as saying by Russian news agencies.

“This will provide a land corridor to Crimea,” he added, referring to the peninsula Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

Minnekaev’s comments were the most detailed description yet of Russia’s goals in the second phase of its operation, which began after its troops pulled back from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

“Control over the south of Ukraine is another way out to Transnistria, where there are cases of Russian-speaking people being oppressed,” Minnekaev said.

Transnistria is a small breakaway region in the former Soviet republic of Moldova, where pro-Russia separatists have been armed and backed by Moscow.

DJ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria population under 350,000 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_military_presence_in_Transnistria or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_military_presence_in_Transnistria ; Currently, the Russian Federation holds an unknown number of soldiers in Transnistria, an unrecognized breakaway state internationally recognized as part of Moldova. This Russian military presence dates back to 1992, when the Soviet 14th Guards Army intervened in the Transnistria War in support of the Transnistrian separatist forces. Following the end of the war, which ended in a Russian-backed Transnistrian victory and in the de facto independence of the region, the Russian forces stayed in a purportedly peacekeeping mission and reorganized in 1995 into the Operational Group of Russian Forces (OGRF), part of which is currently guarding the Cobasna ammunition depot. Today, the Government of Moldova views the presence of these Russian troops as illegitimate and has called for their withdrawal and replacement by international forces. Russia however has opposed this. On 15 March 2022, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe recognized Transnistria as a Moldovan territory occupied by Russia.[1]

One in the Zaporozhye region and three in the area of Dnepropetrovsk.

This cuts off Ukrainian troops on the Donbas front east of the river from all large scale supplies.

Apparently, we are now at war with the whole world, as it was in the Great Patriotic War, all of Europe, the whole world was against us. And now the same thing, they never liked Russia," he added.

Appearances vs Reality

This is yet another look at how sanctions don't work. The oil gest through, but the added costs drive up the costs.

Since oil is fungible, the added costs are on everyone, not just Russia.

The U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia have banned imports of Russian oil, but it would not be the least bit surprising if via mixing at sea some of that got through to the US.

The EU says these shipments are necessary because of long-term contracts. OK, then why the mixing at sea to destinations unknown?

The obvious answer is countries want to appear as if they are sanctioning Russian oil, but in practice cannot afford to cut off supply.

It's easy for the US to say it will take no Russian oil or gas when it takes little of the former and none of the latter.

The EU would have to sanction ships, not just Russia. But then how does it get oil?

Modest Proposal

I have a modest proposal: End the sanctions.

It's clear the oil is getting through anyway, allegedly headed to nowhere. Meanwhile, the disruptions are driving up inflation everywhere.

The EU wants to appear it's doing something, but that cost of that appearance at the expense of reality is higher inflation for everyone.

By ending the sanctions, the cost of all these supply chain shenanigans will go away.

Bipolar System

Treasury Secretary Yellen is worried about Russia avoiding sanctions via China, India, etc

The irony in this madness is the US is concerned about China and India breaking US sanctions when the EU transacts with Russia, hidden in plain sight.

For discussion, please see Janet Yellen Warns China on Russia and Creating a Bipolar Global Financial System

Using Ethereum and Bitcoin, Not the Yuan, to Avoid US Sanctions on Russia

Numerous countries have established ways of avoiding the US dictating sanction policy for the world.

DJ Who is fooling who ? India has to import goods from Russia by ship-and that will be very limited...

In other words, Israel is reducing its exposure to the dollar and to the Euro to add exposure to the Renminbi.

And so perhaps isn’t just little old me here chipping away at my blog daily that has noticed that China and Russia could be on the verge of effecting meaningful change to the global monetary landscape. It sure seems like Israel is catching on.

I expect other countries to follow suit.

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-big-techs-cancel-culture-love-affair or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-big-techs-cancel-culture-love-affair ;

This month, several of us – Scott Ritter, myself, ASB Military News, among others – were canceled from Twitter. The – unstated – reason: we were debunking the officially approved narrative of the Russia/NATO/Ukraine war.

What I find maybe most shocking is the totalitarian way "we are pushed" towards a war with Russia, China for unclear reasons/goals..."Putin is a monster", "Russia invaded Ukraine" keeping away after Ukraine killed 14,000 ethnic Russians...

We did see high level of western lies and propaganda during the Yugolslavia war, MH17 (most likely shot down by Ukraine-but the west need to blame Russia). Censorship in "private owned media" is now a new normal. In the past states did do the censorship-even that got privatized...

I was banned once for writing how the west funded hitler-as described by several historians...but I think "popular vote" did not like the story...

Today stating "the pandemic is NOT over" could get me banned from a lot of (anti)"social media" because it is bad for advertising...However internet still open doors outside NATO fighting its own citizens...

Because-lets face it- WE will pay for "US-led" NATO going to war with Russia, Iran, China !

The state-terror in Ukraine by "nationalists/nazi's" -simply now denied by western MSM - could be next for NATO-countries...https://www.zerohedge.com/political/obama-clinton-rail-against-free-speech-under-guise-fighting-misinformation or https://www.zerohedge.com/political/obama-clinton-rail-against-free-speech-under-guise-fighting-misinformation  Freedom ends when you disagree...simply means there is NO freedom !

What are the goals of the US-biden-in keeping the Ukraine war going by pushing in more and more weapons ? Well what are the results ?

-EU economy is being destroyed-we need to buy more US-LNG, of course "Russian agression" means more "US weapons are needed"...next step more US forces in Europe-also "helpfull to limit protests" ?

-Russia is shifting high speed away "from the west"...most of the non-western world shifting away from the US$...

-The "free market" ending up EU buying US energy at 3x the price of Russian energy, we-Europe-paying for US weapons and military we do not need or should want...

-No doubt the US-biden idea was "push Europe out of Asia" so the US can catch that major economic market...

Why this US attack on the EU will not work ?

-If we have to pay much higher prices for energy we will decrease consumption of energy, increase our own exploration-making some profit at that high levels...also Russian oil is already mixed with non-Russian oil (up to 49%) and going "global" as "non-Russian"...

-The political/media elite both in the US and Europe may see themselves marginalized...in lots of elections less then 50% of the voters turn up...democracy has already a major problem. If the number of people still voting drops much further can you still call it a democracy ?

-We do see all kinds of alternative initiatives, the best ones go for "off the grid" living, eco-friendly super-recycling...zero-waste...The worst alternatives are in organized crime; gangs doing the "education" governments fail to provide...offering some form of security...at a high price..

-By now Asia is already dominating the world-only the west/US does not want to see that...

So how this "Ukraine war" will evolve ?

DJ-One option is China (Iran ? Others ?) sending-openly-forces into Ukraine in support of Russia; making again the statement that if "the west want war they can get war"...

Another option is "increasing pressure" on the west in area's that are of interest for RIC (Russia-Iran-China)...the middle east/Asia, Africa..

Besides that breaking up the west, increasing pressure on that west "ping-pong" of sanctions...already Russia wants unfriendly states to pay in rubles for trade with Russia...Again-the west needs Asia more then Asia needs us...

I do expect more fighting/frontlines...but "the west" no longer in control of the conflict...At what price the Panama-canal, Suez-canal can become non-western controlled ?

By silencing opposition against NATO agression, biden his insanity-followed by way to many other "leaders", we are also silencing warnings, signals of weak spots...

Democracy is fragile...wrong leaders in the past did show how easy it is to destroy democracy...Here in NL the 2,000 richest persons "own" more then the 10 million poorests...On a global scale 0,1% of the people claim to "own" over 50% of the global economy...again-that is democrazy-not democracy !

I think we are now-in some ways-back to 1776, 1789...American, French "revolution"...a social process as a reaction to an elite not willing to make needed changes.

I think most major changes however are made peacefull, small scale...using the power/choices people have...In the 20th century cars became dominant-not by governments ordering us to buy cars...but by marketing...dreams...We now can make choices...eat less meat, stop using cars, that on a large scale will be a sort of revolution...

Stop buying Russian oil is what "the elite wants" but it could result in stop buying cars...No Russian grain may bring a decrease in meat consumption...The Industrial "revolution" was "peacefull" eventhough it killed millions...

If some things can not be discussed-other discussions may harm the elite even more !

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy said  Russian Josh needs to accept responsibility for his role in the conflict as well.

“Any person who wants to know the truth can find it. Any person who wants to understand what is going around should not hide away,” Zelenskiy said. “When we are not sitting on our hands and just staring at Russian propaganda television and then when we go outside, we close our eyes and walk on the territory of Russia, this doesn’t work. This cannot be so...there are such people in Russia and there need to be more and more such people.”

“They should accept that they are guilty - their authorities are guilty - but they elected these authorities,” he said. “They cannot say, ‘I have nothing to do with this.’ They should be able to say that they feel themselves citizens of Russia and they feel this responsibility.”

Zelenskiy compared living in Russia to like living in a computer game.

“Living in the Russian federation is like living in virtual reality,” he said. “It’s like in a computer game. Get out of it. Take off these 3D goggles. Come back to the reality, to the civilized world. This world is beautiful.”
