In the British press today. Worrying. Study showing brain damage caused by Covid. |

I can't help but wonder if we will see an avalanche of neurological disease diagnosis in the near future. |

So first of all, I believe in COVID fog because i have it. My brain is just not as quick as it was even 6 months ago. But the brain can be exercised too, so hopefully, people will do things to help. For me, its playing wordle and crosswords. The other thing is, in order to know if COVID did this to their brains, wouldn't they need a scan before and after? But they only scanned once they knew they had covid. So not sure in this particular study. However, like I said, my COVID fog seems to be real! |

Roni you're right about the before and after scanning of the brain. I thought that too. Without a base line to judge changes from. There was a report a few weeks ago about approximately 300 people who had had a brain scan recently, who were then scanned after they had covid. I read it but didn't really make a note of it. But the result was that there were noticeable changes in the brain in a percentage of them. But it's a tricky one, because probably a third of people over 50 are walking around with the startings of neurological decline already showing their brains but with no outwards signs of those changes showing yet. Covid might just be a trigger to speed things up a bit. Who knows? |
