Title: Reminder: Pandemic education course available online   
Body:   A state employee pandemic educational awareness program developed by the Minnesota Department of Employee Relations is available online. DHS employees can access the course, titled "Pandemic - Ready. Set. Respond." through the DHS Central Office Learning Center.

The educational program, which runs about 30 minutes, provides basic information about pandemics, work readiness and personal preparedness.

To access the course:


The education program is part of the state's ongoing pandemic planning effort. More information about the state's pandemic planning efforts is available on the state of Minnesota Bird Flu Web site. Information about DHS' cross-agency pandemic planning group is on InfoLink. Basic information on pandemic flu is also available on the Minnesota Department of Health Web site. The state's emergency preparedness Web site - www.codeready.org - has information and materials for community organizations, businesses and educational institutions for all types of emergencies.

Employees with questions about pandemic planning can send them to DHS Human Resources by selecting Pandemic Planning on Outlook's Global Address List.
