I am looking at getting an in floor safe to place cash, maybe a gun/ammo and copies of documents.  If you had to bug out and wanted to leave some extra cash and a gun behind this might be the answer.  Just think if you bugged out and lost some cash and your gun got confiscated or lost your documents then you have this extra set back at home. I personally have a floor safe that I put these things but having an extra one that is hidden underneath the carpet in your room is the way to go.

I understand that they are real easy to install in your foundation.  You can have it done professionally or do it yourself.  Me, I don't trust anyone so I will do it myself.  If you have a drill, concrete drill bit, hammer and chisel, a little shovel (to dig out the dirt under the foundation) and a half a bag of concrete mix you are ready to go to work.

Here is a web site so you can see what they look like.  If I buy one I will go to a safe store and buy it there that way no one nows where I live.

No, you have to have something underneath to support the weight of the concrete and house.
