I figure middle of September is about when it will be clear what is going to happen this wave. Kids will be back in school for a couple weeks, temperature will have dropped and less sunshine. I did notice that H1N1  was found in birds. That could make things interesting. I quit worrying a long time ago but still am very curious on how this will play out.

I don't think the traditional timing of the flu season will mean much to this virus and it'll reappear sooner than later. A school in Kentucky already closed for a week after dozens of teachers and students called in with flu-like symptoms so it might not be long before the second wave kicks in. I'm not worried about the virus, but I am concerned about the effect that significant absenteeism due to sickness will have.

I did not hear that. I have not been following it much lately though. The news seems to have slackened. Surprising, considering we are just entering flu season. To me it seems that this country lives in fear. That is no way to live. Fear brings on illness. I see changes coming fast now. I am not sure how it will all work out, only God knows. You see all the screaming and yelling at the healthcare events. People are afraid and ***sed off. They are afraid of the economy, afraid of terrorism, rogue countries, healthcare, having enough food....... I plan on living in the US less and less over the coming years.

7laws I have often thought about having another country to go to at some point. With so many things up in the air, and other countries having their own problems. I started to wonder where should go. If you don't mind me asking what did you have in mind for yourself?

Kenya. That is where my wife is from. Talk about a different lifestyle. I have been planning on moving there over the next 5 years slowly.

Thanks Mississippi Mama, We are about to buy property there and start building a dream home. It is a great deal more about enjoying life there. Trust your instincts. If you are considering moving abroad go check some places out. I have friends that swear Panama is a great place to live, too.
