Pregnant Woman Seriously Ill A 30 year old pregnant woman from Uppland is seriously ill with Swine Flu, according to Swedish news agency TT. She is being treated with a specialist artificial lung (ECMO) at Stockholm's Karolinska Hospital and her condition is described as life-threatening. 4 other Swedes are currently receiving the same treatment following complications after catching Swine Flu. (all of them young and previous healthy adults, my note) The authorities say, however, that the disease still hasn't properly broken out in Sweden yet, 750 people have been diagnosed with the illness here since Swine flu was first discovered. |
