I have been having increasing difficulty using this forum because the threads get so long and I fear I am missing something hidden in post # 827 that I haven't read.  May we please post really earth-shattering news under new post with appropriate title? Has Indonesia (or China Or India) fessed up?  When will WHO admit this is out of their control?   When will USA demand that Bush and co.  break Roche's patent (or license?) due to public health emergenty and start producing tamiflu for home consumption?

Anyway,  let's start to demand action not just passively await the death that they've scheduled for us.  FIGHT BACK.   Loiis

Lois.... I gave up any moderation duties in the News Room.... I couldn't find balance and solutions.  Rick and Admin have control of the form News is posted.

I will say this though.... before I ran from the room in a fit of blithering hysteria, we were posting every news item to its own thread and we were running a day's news into page two.  People coming in at night were loosing that morning's news ( who checks page two?).  So as a concession to a tantrum I pitched the threads have been utilized in a more "consolidated" form.

Just some history of where we've been.  No matter what we have tried it hasn't been pleasing to most.  News, when it happens this fast and heavy, is nearly impossible to handle with any grace.  And we have actually had fights over format as this is such a vital part of this forum.

I'm sure that any suggestions that you have or anyone else out there would be looked at with serious consideration.  Rick does an awesome job rounding stuff up for us... we just need that magic formula for how to deal with it.

(Sorry Rick for jumping in here... but new people don't know the history and I thought it might be helpful to address it)

SZ -- You have done a phenomenal job!  I don't know how to suggest organization because this is my first time (on line, anyway, I'm a early civil rights, race, sex, sexual orientation activist.)  Anyway, I think that there are certain topics that require diligence as I outlined in my last post.  We are being set up for quiet extermination.    You and Rick are my heroes; I mean no disrespect when I suggests changes.   The worst to me is the bow to big pharma and not producing the anti-virals that we will need very soon to save alot of lives and prevent the virus from spreading.  Let's talk more if you think it would help.  Lois

I have a simple method for determining if I missed something important.  Keep an eye out especially in the Member's and Discussion fora.  If someone writes some variation of "Oh S____!"  "We're all gonna die!" or  "#%$&" I figure I need to give the news items another once over.  Another key indicator, Falcon saying "this could be bad".  Works like a charm.
I had a little bird,
his name was Enza;
I opened the window,
and influenza.

Sophia...Hats off to you!  Where would I be w/o this forum???

Still in my bsmt. trying to sift thru my many cans of tuna???

Thank God I seem to be beyond that.

I seem to really be getting my sh$t together.   Got my H20 filtering system in place today, along with 8 propane tanks filled w/ fuel for the grill.

Prep on all...prep on... we can do this!!!

God help us all...
