Brussels. Authorities in Belgium announced that a man with symptoms of
bird flu was received in hospital in Brussels, Reuters reported. The man

UPDATE:

Possible case of human avian flu infection reported in Belgium
(Japan Economic Newswire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)

BRUSSELS, March 8_(Kyodo)
A Brussels traveler back from China was admitted in hospital on Monday
with the symptoms of bird flu, Belgium's Minister of Public Health Rudy
Demotte said Wednesday.

"We are dealing with a possible case of infection with the H5N1 avian
influenza virus," Demotte said in a meeting of the Committee of Health in
the Chamber.

"It is important to say that it is a possible case and not a probable case,"
Piet Vanthemsche, the commissioner responsible for flu said.

The man left Beijing on Saturday after visiting markets, rural areas and
companies in China.

After returning to Belgium, he went to the local Sint-Pieters hospital with
high fever and severe headache.

"At this moment we are doing research after the exact character of his
illness. We are looking whether he has the H5N1 variant or another type
of influenza," Demotte added.

To avoid spreading of the H5N1, most European countries now oblige the
owners of fowl to keep the animals inside. France and the Netherlands
have started a huge vaccination program for their birds.

he was on an airplane. the virus can be around the world by now in every major airport if it is B2H or H2H. If this case comes up BF  (which they will never admit), i would seriously start moving very close to implementing your  plan A or implimenting Plan A because by the time we get the news it will have already been a week and a half.

Start watching out people.

When it pops (not if according to 99% of the experts and governments)

It's gonna spring like a trap.

Don't get caught.

Speculation is the only tool we have with a threat that can circle the globe in 30 days. Test results&news is slow.Factor in human conditions, politics, money&bingo! The truth!Facts come after the fact.

We dont yet know it was a poultry market. It could have been an antiques
market. Let's just cool it a bit and see what develops. That's all we can do
anyway

You can only guess that statistic but think of a number add it to its multiple
by 10 and then double that.

Last week my son and I were skateboarding at a local skatepark (FLorida) that borders a lake. The birds like to sit on the rails and SH*T. I kept flying out of the half pipe and putting my hand on the railing (in the dryed bird poop). Not intentionally it just happened. Mean while the whole time I am thinking great H5N1. 2 days later he and I got the worst flu i ever experienced im my life. High fever, coughing, sneezing he was on the floor for 2 days neither one of us could move. You KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING. I kept dismissing the idea of bird flu. kinda scary??? I was thinking  god if it ever combines with what we had. But were better now.

Well there's no prooving it. The bird flu H5N1 low pathogen is endemic in
the USA already. It could have been that. The worry is about the high
pathogen H5N1 which is spreading from Asia. If it was the H5N1 high path
welcome to the new world friends. You are special survivors!!!!

Great news, thanks for the follow up! Let's just cross our fingers and hope that the second test comes back negative as well.

Question: Why in other cases does it take so long for confirmation of a positive test but when negative results are reported it takes hours not days? Is it because Who needs to confirm positive tests in the field and not negative results?
