Well it looks like my dog was skinned today but her hair knots so easy. She sees the groomer every two weeks but I will soon be SIP by the end of the month so I had her cut really short. Told the groomer I am staying at home until I feel I am ok or the hospitals are ok to take me in if I get it. She understood and was sweet trying to give me her number if I needed anything. Am I jumping the gun maybe but I love my life and I really do not want to die. My lungs are the weakest part of my body and I am not sure I would make it through the Covid19. Unlike Albert I am prepped and only have one more grocery store visit to make and I am ready. So after my last appointment on March 23 I will most likely be SIP. After I saw that the virus has mutated I just said it is time. I had not planned on getting my dog "skinned" for two more weeks but I have a lot to get done next week so it was time. I am going to ask for a leave of absence this week and see if I have a job next fall. If not oh well, I will find a different job. I am not going to put my life on the line for my job I am 70 and at risk. So just a reminder if you get your dog groomed get them taken care of now. |

Oh wow, FluMom — good advice! I was just thinking about this yesterday, because my dog is getting super shaggy (Airedale Poodle Mix!). I think I’ll take her in and have her shaved all the way down. She will be SO mad at me! I think that you’re doing the right thing, for what it’s worth — working around kids gets you sick at the best of times; if you are a high-risk person, I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all for you to go on LOA. |

Agree, good planning. Tomorrow I'm taking two cats to the vet - they both need regular care for a couple of issues. One should be good for a few months, but I'm going to have to take the other one back in in 6-8 weeks. But I've already realized my SIP plans have huge gaps - with 3 neighbors coming and going every day, touching all the common doors, using the same laundry room, etc., I won't be able to avoid all exposure. Sigh. Best laid plans... looks like I'll be doing a LOT of cleaning, probably every single day when they're gone. |

KiminNM, get Lysol spray it will kill the Covid19. I spray it on my computer, mouse and everything at my desk. I work at a school so I know the feeling everyone touching everything I have! Just spray and wait a few minutes to use. Yes go to the dentist! I have had two root canals so I know pain. |
