Very sobering article.  Might not want to do that one last run after all.

Thanks, a fine article with sober/solid advice.

I don't have a lot of faith in politicians or even the general public in the USA....many that I know are either treating it as a joke or "whistling past the graveyard."

My own calculations showed about 1 million deaths in the USA, assuming 331 million population.  That number will go up as the prevalence of cases (disease burden, number of sick) increases.

This was interesting:  The naked virus may survive for hours or days, but these things are never naked....they are always encased in nasal secretions, saliva, or poop (fecal transmission is only now being addressed).   Also, the term "vector" is incorrect - mosquitos carrying malaria are vectors, doorknobs etc. are fomites.

The worst infection then becomes through surfaces: The virus survives for hours or days on different surfaces. If it behaves like the flu, it can survive for weeks on metal, ceramics and plastics. That means things like doorknobs, tables, or elevator buttons can be terrible infection vectors.
