Several of my friends called me today asking if I was going to the church dinner tonight. They were wondering if I thought it would be best to stay home. I explained in length why I thought it was a bad idea to attend a dinner with 200 people in a small hall during a pandemic. They all opted to go anyway. What can I say....

That's for sure FluMom. My friends are all old as dust and I'm catching up to them. You would think they would learn a thing or 2 by age 80 and 90...but no.. they all said they just can't be staying at home while others are out enjoying themselves. 

Throwing caution to the wind this year is going to prove deadly to a lot of old folks. I've lost over 20 friends over the last 5 years due to the infirmities of old age... looks like I'll lose a few more this coming year due to their lack of foresight and common sense..
