Came across this study published a few days ago that rather strongly recommends chloroquine as a frontline treatment for covid. 

Its quite dense and sciency but the abstract and conclusions are fairly clear.

It helped that I checked what the cost would be here - about the same as from there with medicare copay, and much more without it. So at least they're not overcharging.

I wouldn't take it (or have my folks take it) without medical guidance, so I copied the research doc and will have it printed out for reference.

I called the number and my order was too new to confirm, but the man said they are in India, and working 24/7 right now.  Worst case I'm out the money but get to sleep better for 3 weeks. LOL

You guys might want to do a little more reading. 


I was reading about this last week, and there is some other drug that has to be taken with this to be effective. Can't remember what it is cause I didn't figure I would have access to any anyway.

Well two weeks ago I placed an order from the same place, tracking number wouldn't work even after they said it had shipped. Long story short it's out of stock won't be in stock for a week they said in an email today. So they lied, there's that. And still at least 3 weeks out.

Since it's shipping from India, I wonder if it's one of the drugs that's been refused export permission.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

Hmmm. they did tell me on the phone that the tracking number wouldn't work. But if you got an email is out of stock that's not good.

I am interested.  I ordered from the company you told me to go to and they said it was Shipped March 2.  2 -3 weeks to get here.

FM, I'm thinking you will probably get it because of the time frame you ordered it.    If people are saying they got an email saying they're out of stock, I wouldn't order from them after that. 

I received my two previous orders, but I placed those very early on, and I was able to track them online after around a week or so.    My last order was placed on March 6th and tracking # is still not in the system, so I'm going to dispute the purchase (charge) with my bank.   It seems that their chloroquine shipments were halted for whatever reason.  Again, if you ordered it before March 1st I would guess a good likelihood of receiving it.  If you have a tracking number and if you can't track it, then it was never sent.

I do not know where to check the shipping number they said it was sent Registered Air Mail. Is that USPS?

Good job Cobber!  Excellent info.   I noticed that S. Korea recommends 500mg per day, and China used 500mg twice per day.   Good video to use as a reference guide.

Wish we could get some but we need a doctor's prescription and a lot of luck and money.  We maxxed out our cards and we have no credit left.   Doctor will only write script if medicare will pay for it.    We are doomed.

To be frank ME, you are unlikely to need it at the moment.  Chloroquinne is a common, cheap, generic drug.  Hang fire for a few days until there are a few spare cents.  Take the time to find a cheap source, places like India where malaria drugs are often needed may be fruitful.  I bought ours early as it has to come such a long way, but it looks as if the site I bought it from has sold out for now anyway.  So don't panic.  Your chance will come.  Just be extra careful both in infection control and money for a short while.  This pandemic is a marathon, not a sprint.
