I was just watching the news and I was floored, I was watching a report from the mayor of NYC and he was saying they were going to close the playgrounds. Why would these not have already been closed, that is crazy. We had 17 positive cases in our county in Oklahoma and our playgrounds have been closed for 2 weeks, we have  curfew, all stores have been shut down except essential services, and they are coming down even harder. They are getting ready to start 1 family member/1 cart for shopping trip into a store, not bring the family, etc. 1 person shops for the family. Only a certain amount of people in the store per amount of feet of the store. Stores are going to have to have plastic shields up between the cashiers and shoppers at the registers, they will have to provide wipes to sanitize the carts, stores will have to provide gloves for their employees or provide hand sanitizer so the clerks can sanitize between every customer. There was other stuff but I can't remember everything.

Yes.  That has been a big bone of contention in these parts.  Cuomo wanted parks (which contain playgrounds) open.  deBlasio did what he could to curtail.  Like take down basketball hoops.  Lock handball and tennis courts, etc.  As the weather warms up, I think it's necessary.  They've opened up some streets so people/families can take walks together. No need to have little ones exposed on a freakin' swing!

I can only imagine how hard it would be to stay cooped up in one of those big apt. buildings.   Around here I see children playing in their own yards, thank goodness I don't live in the city.   I do understand why others would enjoy it though.  I didn't mean this as any  put down just a preference .

keep the joy
