Ok asking if taking quinine and zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C would help keep someone from catching covid ? |

Don't go for quinnine! Chloroquine works (probably) by opening up the ionophores on cell surfaces to admit more Zinc, which then inhibits the replication of the virus. Quinnine CLOSES ionophores (more precicely blocks them). This would automatically give the virus the upper hand. |

I have not been able to find any good source that indicates quinine either acts as a ionore or not. However the fact that it and the artificial version both are effective against malaria might be evidence that it does. Either they are both ionophores or they both are effective against malaria but through different mechanisms. |
