Cases/deaths going up and dis-banding the task force do not match up IMO. |

True, but that may not be possible; even if it is, it will cause many avoidable deaths first. You don't take the parachute off just because your descent has slowed. Wait till you are safely on the ground. |

The news prior to yesterday: bend the curve, minimize deaths, fed and public health official updates. The news yesterday: cases and deaths will go up by a lot. Here's some guidelines but do whatever. We have other things to do, BYE. I get that we need to balance risks with the economy, but really? I'm disappointed but not surprised. It seems the towel has been thrown. |

If we were just going to abandon the idea of a "shut down" when it got to the inevitable hardships... why did we do it on the first place? What has changed? Where we trying to get to summer weather? We jist didn't know what else to do? I mean, possible projections of 3,000 deaths per day, and we are just calling it overwith? What is the plan going forward? It doesn't seem to be testing, contact tracing, or future shut downs. So.. what's left? |

It sounds like they're rethinking the decision. Trump is saying he didn't realize the task force was so popular. Not the word I'd have used - essential would be closer to the mark. Treating people like mushrooms (keeping them in the dark and feeding them s**t) is a poor way to lead in a crisis like this where knowledge is power. |

This really took me by surprise, really nauseating instinctive feelings. Everyone getting out of dodge. If they dissolve now, just before things get more out of hand, they can possibly maintain some innocence and hand washing ( no pun intended) of this pandemic. This will all fall to the governors responsibility, why else would the president be praising the governors for doing the opposite of his former advisement? |

I agree, it seems the Governors will be on their own. But, how will it be functional with them essentially competing for everything they need? I know some are forming consortiums to improve purchasing power, but I can't see them being able to hold any line separately, especially when we don't know what the line will be. |
