I think you need to brush up in history - Political parties can drastically change their position with time.   The Republicans were the first to lead with environmental legislation.


In the UK the only time I vote Conservative was to join the EU, and recently they were the party to take England out of the EU, so this 180 degree turn happened in my lifetime as a voting  adult.  [Sorry Techno, I don't follow your position in this issue   ]
