A rather depressing article on how covid has affected other health conditions.

https://www.bbc.com/news/health-57092797

I am beginning to wonder if, going forward, the western world (where vaccinations are at a high level - so this may leave USA out) will seem many more deaths due to  health care limitations than directly due to covid.

I also get the impression from the graphs that the population in England is not very healthy.  The graphs show nearly 5 million people waiting for an operation, out of a population of 54 million ( http://www.ukpopulation.org/england-population/ ), so around 8-9% of the population is waiting for a "hospital procedure".
