It helps you figure out calories and # of servings from each food group and then how to figure out what to store for a year. It's about 140 pages  and includes printable  chart worksheets for inventories and menu planning.

There are LOTS of low fuel recipes for free at this site. You could just plug these into the menu worksheets, if you are at a loss on what to plan for meals. You don't need to use freezer bags. I don't. If I think the recipe needs to "simmer" awhile I pour the contents into a thermos.
