Regarding the risk of attending outdoor protests....there is always risk, especially if someone who has fulminant COVID-19 infection coughs or sneezes violently.  However, many or most of the protesters I've seen are wearing some level of mask, which reduces particulate emissions and helps reduce inhalation.  This is helpful to the outdoors, where there is UV from sunlight, breeze and other physical forces, airborne transmission is disrupted.  The upcoming Trump rally in Tulsa OK and other large indoor gatherings are much more dangerous.
