Google seems to consistently fail to bring up news stories on Bird flu.

Google any of the stories about the strange deaths in Latin America and they do not come up. Google the dead whales. Google the dead sea turtles. Google the dead monkeys, burros, horses or cows in Panama or Costa Rica. The stories don't show up.

Now, Google "mystery fever India" in the news section of Google, and NOTHING comes up.  Most unusual, considering that last I heard it was spreading rapidly.

'Mystery fever india' worked for me in the UK. I got 1,300,000 hits and the
first was the bbc report on the button.

I think the secret's out. The US is not as free as the population imagines it is.
Google is in fact CIA-sponsored and has the one aim of confusing the
enemy. Or at least JoeNeubarth is being secretly screened from the truth by
the G-Men and the Spooks. I guess your time is up JoeNeubarth. Take cover
or run for it.

Now, I figured that the missing news stories on all the monkeys dying in panama and Costa Rica were just because the Costa Rican Department of Tourism paid a Google exec for "special consideration." That is a business deal to keep people coming to see the monkeys even though they are not there anymore in large numbers.  It's corrupt, but that is how the world operates.  Nothing new.

But the news stories on all the dead and dying in India being suppressed?

This looks to be far far bigger than the Costa Rican Bureau of Tourism.  WHO has that kind of power?

Gosh, I hope I do not become paranoid about this.  Remember, I am Googling NEWS, not just WEB.  I can Google WEB and get lots of three day old (or years old) hits, but if I Google news there is nothing here in the US (or at least here in Southern California).

Are you sure you are Googling NEWS and not the WEB?

How about piglets in New Zeland..

New Zealand farmers on Tuesday began testing for known livestock diseases in an effort to identify a mystery illness that is killing piglets on South Island farms, officials said. Pork Industry Board Chief Executive Angus Davidson said the board had sent samples from about six farms with sick pigs in central Canterbury to an independent
laboratory for testing. "The symptoms include everything from wasting to death," Davidson said. Industry vets monitoring the farms had been unable to identify the
ailment killing young pigs on the farms. The affected pig farms were all in the same area so the disease was spreading via the wind or through bird or pig movement, he
said.Last week, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and other veterinarians had ruled out the worst exotic diseases affecting pigs, Davidson said, adding the board
was expecting results from a range of laboratory tests by the end of the week. If all tests were negative, farmers might have to consider a diagnosis of post-weaning
multi-systemic wasting syndrome (PMWS), a highly contagious viral disease that affects young pigs up to 12 weeks of age, he told domestic news agency, New Zealand
Press Association. "While we are by no means sure of the outcome, we cannot rule out the possibility of PMWS," he said. The disease does not affect humans, but attacks young pigs causing emaciation, diarrhea and breathing problems, killing up to 40% of them in its early stages. The disease, first diagnosed on several North Island farms in 2003, has no known cure. There is no simple test to confirm its presence, Davidson noted. Until the 2003 outbreak, only New Zealand and Australia were known to be free of the highly infectious viral disease

The death toll from a suspected outbreak of cholera in southern Sudan has risen to 127, the World Heath Organisation said Sunday. Sudanese health authorities, "in collaboration with WHO and other partners, reported a total number of 5,634 cases and 127 deaths from acute watery diarrhea in southern Sudan," the WHO said in a statement. Cholera was confirmed in a number of the cases. The town of Yei, which borders Uganda, and South Sudan's main city Juba have been hit hardest by the epidemic, which has been spreading to surrounding areas, the WHO said. "Reports of actue watery diarrhea have been received from areas surrounding Juba, namely Jebel Lado, Kajo-Keji, Lekongole, Pibor, BorTerekeka, Mongella, Torit, Lafon, Lui, Jebelein and Rokon," it added. Stool specimen collected from Kajo-Keji, Terekeka, Bor and Pibor all confirmed a cholera outbreak. "Laboratory tests are continuing for other locations," the WHO said. Health officials have warned of catastrophe if cholera spreads in Juba, a city of about 250,000 people that relies almost entirely on untreated water from the heavily-polluted Nile.

I know that there are a number of google servers and depending on which one DNS directs you to at any given time, you end up with slightly different results but that is weird.  I always leave safe search off in my preferences, that might change the sequencing a bit.  Do you search by relevance or date?

RainBow---using "mysterious" does not help------there is no new news coming out of India. I would say there is nothing new from the media in India since Feb. 28---and even the news that DOES come out cannot be trusted.

Just think about India having confirmed H5N1 in poultry---which it does.

You can figure out what is happening from there.

A DISASTER.

I just checked Air India website. No panic there---all flights still have seats available.

This was the last article to come out of Rourkela regarding the plague.

Mystery fever: Nothing to worry, says administration
Sunday March 5 2006 08:03 IST

ROURKELA: Alarmed at the ‘mysterious fever’ outbreak at Panposh sub-division, the district administration has woken up to a series of precautionary measures. However, administration sources said the situation is fully under control.

More than 3,500 patients are reportedly suffering from the fever, which health officials could be ‘viral fever’. Sources said 70 new cases were reported from Rourkela Special Jail. However, Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Dr Premanand Patnaik claimed that there had been a remarkable fall in the number of patients, reporting sick.

Of the 351 cases treated on Friday, 120 were repeat cases. In a bid to allay fear among the people about the disease, Rourkela ADM Shalini Pandit accompanied by Dr Patnaik, CMO of RGH Dr Pramila Mohanty and Medicine Specialist Dr S Basa of Rourkela Government Hospital addressed mediapersons.
