After reading this my sadness is overwhelming. I had hoped we can move on from here.  I am lost and not seeing a path forward. Will we all have to be in permanent cycles of lockdown and open???!!

Being vaccinated doesn't stop you getting Covid19,

It just stops serious illness.....

I hope to tell you differently, however I am afraid that covid is here to stay.  We will need booster shots every year and it will be a taxing event on the world.  It is something that we need to be wary of constantly.   Don't thimk the world will ever be the same.  Perhaps in 20 years we will find a vaccine that may work, but with the constantly changing nature of the virus, we are going to see waves of disease.

I've just read an article stating that of the 141 people in hospital with Covid in Sydney right now, 140 are double jabbed and the other person has been single jabbed. In other words, every single person hospitalized with Covid has been vaccinated. 

Go figure that!
Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

Great article, Carbon!!


Anyway...

To increase my chances of survival, if I get the bug, I am double vaccinated.

To reduce my chances of getting the bug, I go out only when absolutely necessary.

To reduce my chances of transmitting the bug, if I am an asymptomatic carrier,  I wear a mask and follow the COVID rules in public.

I also drink kefir and kombucha, keep active, eat healthily, take vitamins D, C and Zinc.  (I'm told cold showers boost the immune system, but I can't quite face that; the pain to gain ratio is too high.)


I still have a soupçon of risk, as does everyone following that path with me, but can't do anything else.  Anyway, our personal risks now are somewhat smaller than those of being struck by a meteorite or lightning; so I won't be worrying much anymore.
How do you tell if a politician is lying?
