There have been lots of discussion about the statistics for Corvid19 cases and deaths.  But little on the indirect effects.   Here in Finland, as the spread was slowed early on, we did not have to stay in our houses. This and the time on people's hands (and unusual warm weather) has lead to an increase in deaths by drowning.

The government media also is blaming corvid19 as part of the reason for this.

Quote At least 59 people have died {due to drowning} in Finland so far this year, according to the Finnish Swimming Teaching and Lifesaving Federation (FSL). Coronavirus and recent warm weather have both contributed to people spending more time outdoors, including on the water.
