My concern, however is as the article states:  There is great disparity in demographics.  
 “Within New York City, for example, we know that the proportion of adults fully vaccinated ranges from 32% of Black adults to 71% of Asian/Native Hawaiian/other Pacific Islander adults—from 37% in Far Rockaway to 100% in the Financial District.” 

I find it disconcerting that they failed to list Latin, Caucasian, Middle Eastern, etc...  Further, I'm surprised that Black vaccinations are so low considering the priorities here were to get Black, Latin and Asian communities vaccinated here.  To the detriment of other races.  I don't mind saying the vaccination programs here in NYC were very badly handled.  
Still... it's going to be one helluva Independence  day celebration here.  Am considering asking the vet for tranquilizers for the cats.

	Witchy I grew up with dogs who were really frightened of fireworks so we would put them in the lounge room, shut the curtains and put on both the TV and radio loudly. It always worked.
	Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

	Never mind the cats, Witchy, ask for tranqs for you! I imagine the reluctance may have to do with the Tuskegee Experiment, as well as some forced sterilizations through the years.
