I didn't know if this has been talked about. I have a friend who asked me if you can take an iron to your mail to kill the virus if it is on the letters? Anybody have any thoughts on it?

It would work, but just might erase the contents.  Much stuff today has heat sensitive paper.  I spray mine lightly with dettol (in a can - It is not as wet as the bottles.) and then put them over the fire to dry.  I open them, read them and then go wash my hands.  If I want to keep the stuff for a record I put it away for a month.  If I need to take them and perform some action - reply with specific information, I end up sanitising everything I touch whilst replying.
