This is in the UK press today. There's an outbreak of Nipah virus in India. There's no cure and it kills 75% of those infected.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

India: Nipah outbreak grows to 6 cases. "The list of people who have come into contact with any of the patients grew to 950 people. Of those, 213 are in the high-risk category, including 21 who have been hospitalized and 287 healthcare workers."
