I think you posted something similar, around the time you were sick Pixie....

That seems a life time ago.......

Take care

Ditto.. only mine was in early-January.  Terrible cough, no sniffles but was absolutely exhausted.  I slept 18 hours a day.  No fever though.   I was sick for about two weeks or so.  I thought about it on around mid-February and wondered.  But I didn't have a fever.  Or if I did, it wasn't a high fever.  So I don't think so.

Well shit!  I guess I'll ask my doctor to do an antibody test when it becomes widely available.

I think when they start antibody testing they are going to find that a large segment of the population was asymptomatic or had very mild symptoms and did not know they had it. And as a result after all the data is analyzed the CFR will be considerably lower than the current projected CFR.

The problem not only how many have had it but how many truly have died from Covid19.  Some die at home and it is not recorded as Covid19 death.  Anyone NOT tested and dies does not get recorded...this can't be good for stats.

My wife is an RN, and I remember her saying the ER was slammed with patients with flu like symptoms and upper respiratory infections back in January. She had all of the symptoms of COVID-19 back in January also, as well as our two boys. I never developed any illness.

True, FluMom, but we can get a good idea of how many died of pneumonia without testing positive for flu from HHS reporting.  Even now I think there are those who will die at home refusing to go to the hospital because of lack of insurance.

Yup Mrmouse.  Here in NYC too.  Some of my nursing friends commented at the time that all these people were coming in with pneumonia but testing negative for flu as early as December.

We live in Los Angeles, and some days they have my wife doing COVID-19 screenings on the employees, such as temperature checks, and asking them if the feel Ill. Other days she's screening the general public. So far, they haven't been swamped.

My niece is an ICU nurse in Orange County, and reports the same. Although, last week during her screening she had a slight fever and cough. So, they swabbed her, and sent her home for 3 days. Her test came back inconclusive. She's back at work now, but I'm not sure if they retested her.

On my way to work yesterday, I passed this homeless fellow. He looked to be in his late 50's, with a long scraggly beard, and looked like he hadn't showered in quite a while. I told my wife later that day, he'll probably weather this okay. But, the people hunkered down in there houses, watching the doom and gloom news all day, and stress eating will probably inadvertently lower their immune system from stress, lack of exercise, fresh air, and sunlight.
