DJ,

I am not a military expert, I am NOT neutral, this is only my opinion-hope to be very wrong !

The biden-war against Russia has to go nuclear. I blame biden for the full 100% for that.

Background/links;

The US did send 1/3 of its anti-tank weapons already to Ukraine...a same amount of the US strategic oil reserves is send/on its way to Europe-with limited new influx to replace it.

Based on Ukraine "info" (propaganda) NATO keeps sending weapons, energy and now increasing also trainers to Ukraine. Ukraine is using some weapons-meant for a week-in a single day...The US does not have enough basic materials to replace that kind of weapons.

-------------------------------

The "west" has invested allready so much in this war the only acceptable outcome for that "west" is not just a "weakened" Russia but regime-change in Moscow.

However it looks like both sanctions and the Ukraine-war (Russian invasion when Ukraine started shelling eastern Ukraine-killing again ethnic Russians-with NATO help) are not enough to reach that western/biden goal.

Increasingly also attacks on oil depots etc inside Russia (UK-SAS-style) do happen. So far not doing much damage-still a risk for Russia.

The west is getting more and more involved in the war inside Ukraine, from training Ukraine soldiers on NATO soil to sending more and more (also modern) weapons/intel.

-----------------------------------

NATO expansionism does not stop. Sweden, Finland may ask NATO-membership next month.

China does see NATO as a risk for its New Silk Road/EurAsian market plans, both China and Iran expect they will be next if biden succeeds in regime change in Moscow.

---------------------------

Further western escalation of the war did result in Russia now destroying east-west infrastructure in Ukraine, further destruction of airfields/storage.

A lot of western supplies do not reach the frontlines in the east of Ukraine.

The only way to change that is further western escalation-wich will bring a Russian reaction.

End of part 1

When Russia intervened the US/NATO did supply IS and other "moderate terrorists" with weapons. (Article also mentions the outcome of US intervention in the 70's in Afghanistan-to fight the pro-Soviet Union regime there; "Al Qaeda is on our site"...both IS and al qaeda still active-both with also Uyghurs from western China. IS was fighting in Ukraine. The US/NATO is supporting jihadi-ism in central Asia to fight Russia-Iran-China.

http://thesaker.is/the-moskva-riddle/ or http://thesaker.is/the-moskva-riddle/ Most likely the west itself is allready fighting Russia...NATO forces attacking Russian targets ..

https://southfront.org/bucha-investigation-contradicts-itself-confirms-afus-atrocities/ or https://southfront.org/bucha-investigation-contradicts-itself-confirms-afus-atrocities/ Some in the west blamed Putin for trump winning the US elections, blamed Putin for the UK Brexit, MH17, if Le Pen had won the French elections; "blame Putin"....Now some Le Pen supporters in France claim she did not win because of the US.....

DJ-We are allready in an almost total war....with the pandemic-in yet another wave, and climate change both very major unsolved problems...

History learns the #1 country often will do all it can to stay #1. Wars do change the "top-position"...Spain, NL, France, Germany, UK all once were dominant or tried to become a #1-resulting in global wars. (World War one and two are just names; the first global war may go back to the 16th century with Europe moving into Asia, Africa the America's).

Russia-China try to overtake the #1 position from the US. In a nuclear age it would be "more then welcome" if such a change could be made without a total, global war...because we can NOT survive such a war !

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ, There are many ways this Ukraine war further may escalate-and it will not be the only US-Russia frontline. Syria and Iraq are also US-Russia frontlines. Growing frustation in China. North Korea may see other frontlines showing up. Pakistan-after US regime change against Imran Khan-may become a question mark. In Latin America there are lots of potential frontlines.

There are some basic ideas however;

-A lot of European countries now buy extra Russian energy to have enough in stock for the winter 2022/2023, in the hope to be able to replace buying Russian energy end of this year. Since energy prices went up-OPEC did not increase production; China and India buy Russian energy at "friendly prices" de facto for 2022 the Russian economy may be one of the few worldwide still growing...Ruble-backed by energy and gold increasing in value (as a hard currency).

Certainly most of the EU is moving towards recession/economic depression; Asia getting much lower energy costs and still able to get other natural resources...The pandemic is doing great damage to China, will harm India, Russia as well-but the US now is in another wave...Europe will see more cases soon. Africa is moving towards another major crisis (BA.4, Ebola in the DRC).

-For the west this Ukraine war is taking much longer then they expected. Sanctions were supposed to stop-if not end-Russia. The economic price is going up each day, sending military goods to Ukraine-less and less reaching the frontlines also is not effective...

-By going for the west/pushed towards the west the UN, Israel are no longer in a position to mediate. China, India are pushed towards Russia-since they do not go for anti-Russian sanctions...(Turkey going its own way-trying to be "friends" with both Russia and Ukraine-but by now seeing there is no point in further negotiations if "the west" want regime change in Moscow...)

-The EU leadership followed the US (and UK) and is not able to pull out any longer (Le Pen in France could have made some difference...but maybe in the wrong way...). You can not push your country towards hyperinflation (that is where we are going) and anti-Russia hysteria (eventhough the idea of regime change in Moscow is a US idea...) and stop it admitting "sorry I was very wrong"...

-Russia (more and more backed by several Asian countries, China, Iran most) will not give up its security concerns-NATO moving towards Russian borders is unacceptable. (And not only for Russia !)

How will it escalate further ?

-One idea is Poland getting involved-sending in its military into Ukraine. Russia may accept "limited Polish presence" in the west of Ukraine for some time...but Russia does know it is a next step in the escalation...

-An all out NATO intervention into Ukraine will bring high speed escalation. A battle over control of Ukraine airspace (with Russia now using missiles against targets in western Ukraine) is open war between Russia and NATO...

-Covert action-special forces (maybe inside Russia) being caught (there are allready lots of westeners killed/catched by Russia in Ukraine-NATO losses will be 100+ military, most of them Polish). So far Russia did call it "mercenaries" not see it as part of a NATO attack...

-Again; another major frontline is Syria/Iraq...US forces in NE Syria/Iraq "not in the best position" in case of a further escalation. (Iran is a factor as well-Israel is allready fighting Iran on a limited scale...).

Maybe the major point is that an open war between NATO and Russia ;

-Will see other conflicts escalate (Middle East, South China Sea/East Asia)

-May bring one-or both-of the "parties" running out of conventional means..

-DJ-If avoiding an open war does not bring the wanted goal (US-Regime change in Moscow, Russia keeping NATO away from its borders) and conventional war has both parties with exhausted supplies the nuclear option-most likely as a first major strike-may soon be discussed.

-The S-550 has the potential to destroy western satellites; unable western warfare. The west may be able to "give major blows" to Russia without going nuclear..Problem is "major blows" (destroying major Russian infrastructure via ICBM's) may not "do the job"...

-Lots of other countries also have nuclear weapons...UK/bojo is mad enough, Israel could go nuclear against Iran, North Korea may want to show it can destroy US bases...

End of part 3

part 4;

The main reason I write this is the hope to avoid a nuclear war.

We must realize we are moving towards a nuclear global end of live high speed at the moment...if we do not want that we have to stop that !

Since "neutral parties" where pushed/put in camps "if you are not with us you are against us" they may not be in a position to end this escalation. India is-for now-not seen as being in a position to get the US and Russia talking...Turkey tried, the Vatican seems to be still in conflict with the Orthodox church...

So far both the US and Russia are not willing to give in...(The US did stop even seeing most Russian diplomats since february 24...biden wants war..not talks).

We-the citizens-may be a decisive factor. However propaganda did unable-for now-public larger scale actions. If you question the wisdom of the war you are called "pro-Russia". If you warn for nuclear war "alarmist"..."we are winning"....(Russians are monsters...not that far away from calling them "sub-humans"...).

Sanity, science, good arguments, did not stop climate collapse or this pandemic...most people do not want to know we are moving high speed to massive destruction...

"The system" is out of control and bound to crash....high speed...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

I really think it looks like it'll go nuclear. Biden seems to be itching to join in and so does Boris in the UK. It's more than worrying!

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

On Moldova becoming pulled into the war;

ZradaXXII

@ZradaXXII
 ·
#Ukraine and #Romania plan joint aggression against #Transnistria (Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic) late April-early May. Romanian military disguised as Moldovan military are training in camps in Romania and arrive in #Moldova in large numbers. Details: https://t.me/ZradaXXII/1959

DJ the reported attacks https://liveuamap.com/en/2022/26-april-2-radio-transmitters-destroyed-as-result-of-explosions or https://liveuamap.com/en/2022/26-april-2-radio-transmitters-destroyed-as-result-of-explosions are part of a restart of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria_War or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria_War  ?

 World War 3 might start over a trivial sliver of land—Transnistria—between western Ukraine and eastern Moldova. It is an ethnic Russian enclave, and the rumors from Igor “Strelkov” Girkin is that Romanian and Ukrainian armed forces are planning on seizing it.

I don't think that's the big deal—the issue would be if those Romanian fighters cross over into Ukraine, potentially to help AFU defend Odessa from capture by the Russians. THIS is a scenario whereby a direct NATO vs. Russia war might break out.

DJ West of Romania is Serbia-that may choose the side of Russia...

Americans don't even remember last week's Big Thing. Russians think historically—but Americans live in a chaotic Now, without context to the past, or thought about the future.

This may be a major problem...not only in international contacts, also in the pandemic...DJ-Without going for stereotypes, generalization; for a lot of people in the US the US is "the world"...

Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil

Canadian media reports that the "former" army commander, Lieutenant General Trevor Kadier, is in Ukraine, and he has been absent since February.  It is assumed that he may be surrounded in Mariupol

Hal Turner earlier mentioned a high rank US military person died in Mariupol...Russia most likely will NOT believe for a moment that many NATO military are "former military" being in Ukraine because the voluntary wanted to join Ukraine against Russia...

A short morning thread on the 1870 Franco-Prussian War, and lessons it holds for the current war in Ukraine - particularly as related to Western efforts to reconstitute the mauled Ukrainian military with donated equipment.

DJ, history repeating itself over and over...NApoleon, NAzi's now NAto showing unable to learn a thing from the past...just crazy !

There are "stories" of Polish/NATO forces (build-up) in Romania. Poland itself may be preparing to "join the war". Over 100.000 US military allready in "western Europe"...

Should I mention the difference between "tactical" battlefield nuclear weapons and strategic-most long distance nuclear weapons ? Russia having hypersonic long distance missiles able to fly-via the South pole-to the US that fast the US may be unable to react ?

Should I mention using "nukes as a warning" -do not cross this line is now no longer an option ?

A full scale NATO attack on Russia will start-most likely-an ALL OUT nuclear war !

One party not giving the other a chance for a "first strike"....If I had my own "doomsday clock" it would be 5-10 seconds before midnight...

Further escalation of the war in Ukraine may see Ukraine "losses" going up from "hundreds per day" to "many thousends per day"....with Ukranian forces simply having not enough defenses against an increase of air attacks...they are "sitting ducks"...Russia could kill them...so far only did make a choice not to do so...

As sanctions have their intended effect – getting companies from the US and allied countries to leave Russia – there’s also an unintended effect as competitors from countries led by India, Turkey and China pick up the slack.

Despite the bad news, Russians can justify harboring hope based on the actions of some countries that do not support the sanctions and are increasing their involvement in Russia’s economy.

Anecdotal evidence for this includes such hints of ambiguity as a rhetorical question from US national public radio network NPR (April 13, 2022): The West is hammering Russia with sanctions. But, do they work?

"We expect Saudi Arabia to make an objective choice after assessing high qualities of this anti-aircraft missile system [S-400] and other items that we make," the chief executive said in an interview with the National Defense magazine on the occasion of the company’s 20th anniversary.

Turkey considers the presence of landlocked countries’ warships, especially those of NATO, in the Black Sea basin during the Ukrainian crisis, in terms of regional balances, inappropriate, the Hurriyet newspaper reported on Monday, quoting Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

"We want to ensure that the principle of regional ownership is not violated, that the relevant rights of coastal countries are not violated. If balances are tilted here, there is a high probability of events spiraling out of control. We don't want to plunge the Black Sea into an atmosphere of competition," Akar told the newspaper.

DJ Ideas of NATO increasing activity from Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey (and Georgia ???) against Russia in the Black Sea are stopped by Turkey out of fear for being pulled into a (two front-south is Syria) war...Nevertheless most likely US (and UK) may push for such an escalation...

https://thecradle.co/Article/columns/9510 or https://thecradle.co/Article/columns/9510 ; The closure of Turkey’s air space to all Russian aircraft has not come as a surprise to Moscow, which is aware that Ankara and Washington are involved in a new dalliance and that there is a full spectrum calibration of Turkish regional policies under way.

DJ, So Russia now has to get supplies to Russian military in Syria and Iraq via Iran....Turkey has a chance to deal with the Kurds...(and the US position in Iraq and Syria gets even more impossible...).

In general-from Romania-bordering in the east to Moldova and Ukraine-in the west to (pro-Russia) Serbia to Turkey/Syria/Iran further escalation may be on its way...

NATO moving into Ukraine may face infrastructure limiting its movements over land...Another major risk could be north; Poland ending up fighting Belarus/Russia...(in what would be supposed a surprise attack...)...DJ-NATO SF (Special Forces) most likely allready in limited numbers in western Russia ????

There seem to be "no brakes" stopping the insanity...the rest of the world may be watching in horror...unwilling to give in for more sanctions on Russia (western demands in India...) but trying to stay out of the fighting...making their own plans/setting their own goals...

Josh I really think things are getting bad. I was listening to two comedians on a political satire show on the BBC and they were saying how 72% of voting age adults thought that Putin should be taught a lesson (by the rest of the world getting involved in the war) regardless of the cost. As they said, does no one realise what a nuclear war will do to the world? There'll be no winners. I'm not surprised billionaires the world over are scrambling to get bunkers built. There's a huge bunker complex in the mountains near me. I don't know exactly where it is but I know someone who worked on their off grid system. I don't know whose bunker it is but if they are American (as so many of them are over here) they'll be pleased to learn that NZ has opened it's borders again.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

Sad fact is it's really not funny. Biden should be forced to undergo a MoCa test to determine his mental fitness as CIC with nuclear launch authority. Clearly he's not all there.

President Biden has negative approval ratings in 40 states including key midterm battlegrounds, according to an analysis, losing ground with Democrats, young voters and independents, and looking as befuddled as ever.

The president is underwater by double digits in 33 states, including some that were key to his 2020 victory such as Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia, in the Morning Consult Political Intelligence quarterly tracking report released Tuesday.

Mr. Biden’s job approval ratings are higher than his disapproval ratings in only 10 states and the District of Columbia. He is barely above water in his home state of Delaware.

The report was released after a fresh series of public gaffes and confused moments by the 79-year-old president. Surveys show that voters are increasingly expressing doubts about Mr. Biden’s mental fitness for office and rating him as a weak leader.

from

Biden is going to resign a step before he is impeached.

may explain why this ..... is pushing the world towards nuclear war....Both main US "political parties" are in fact white collar crime gangs...corrupt to the bones...

Another point should be what powers a "president" has. I think biden may have a bit more power in the US then Putin has in Russia..at least in formal rules & practice. But that is something specialist may have a better view of...The French president also has a powerfull position, the German president de facto almost ceremonial...

Kirby said further according to Reuters, “A nuclear war cannot be won and it shouldn’t be fought. There’s no reason for the current conflict in Ukraine to get to that level at all.”

Interestingly, it seems the Russian side would agree, and appeared to dabble in rhetoric of nuclear warnings as a way to stave off such a nuclear-armed showdown. But ominously, it seems both sides also agree they are inching toward this almost unimaginable scenario.

DJ, "western denialism"; living with climate collapse, living with the virus, the insane idea of starting a war with Russia-de facto Asia but still claiming "risks of nuclear conflict should be kept out of the discussion" (because there would be NO public support for that criminal insanity !).

RUMORS (unconfirmed at the publication of this story) say Romanian Troops have entered Moldova, and been given Moldova Military uniforms to pose as Moldova troops.  Romania is now a member of NATO.

DJ, Romania did fight the Soviet Union, joined the nazi's...Moldova was part of the price they had to pay...So far Moldova tried to stay out of the conflict-but it may seek NATO protection...wich could turn out to be a wrong choice...because NATO could use Moldova as a basis for fighting Russia...

part 2,

From the Hal Turner link;

Over the past few days, there have been a series of explosions in Transnistria.  Russian soldiers there are on a war footing now, Moldova is also on a war footing.

There is a gigantic arsenal of Russian military weapons stored in Transnistra; weapons that Ukraine would like to get their hands on now that Russia has smashed most of Ukraine's military.

Those weapons supplies would vastly improve Ukraine's ability to defend Odessa from the approaching Russian Army.

A critical bridge was taken out last night with a missile attack, cutting off a supply route from Moldova to Odessa, Ukraine.  A train full of gasoline tankers crossing that bridge was destroyed.

DJ; Denialism seems to be the basic western strategy...Not only denial of the risks for nuclear war...also closing their eyes for a spread of the conflict.

https://nltimes.nl/2022/04/26/dutch-officers-critical-plan-supply-ukraine-armored-howitzers or https://nltimes.nl/2022/04/26/dutch-officers-critical-plan-supply-ukraine-armored-howitzers

The Netherlands' decision to supply armored howitzers to Ukraine together with Germany to help the country fight the Russian invaders could have consequences for the deployability of the Dutch armed forces, Niels van Woensel, chairman of the Dutch Officers Association (NOV), said after reports in De Telegraaf.

An armored howitzer is the army's strongest artillery weapon, capable of hitting targets 40 to 50 kilometers away. The Netherlands has 54 of these, about half of which are in use. It is not yet known how many howitzers the Netherlands intends to supply. The plan is still under discussion, and Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren has not yet made a final decision.

The Netherlands has been supplying Ukraine with weapons for some time but is now considering sending weapons that the Netherlands itself uses for the first time. Van Woensel calls this a strange choice. "The armed forces cannot properly perform the tasks it has at present, for example, main task 1: protecting its own territory and that of allies. We know that we've had a shortage for years, and we must ensure that this is quickly rectified."

Additional armored howitzers can be deployed to strengthen the land forces. According to Van Woensel, if some of these weapons are sent to Ukraine it could cause problems in the long run. "We don't need all of the 29 howitzers in storage right now, but it is important for our own deployability that we have them in stock."

DJ Lots of sources by now warn "the west" is sending that much military hardware to Ukraine the west may be running out of major defense capacity...

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russia-warns-nuclear-world-war-3-risks-now-considerable or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russia-warns-nuclear-world-war-3-risks-now-considerable ;

Over the weekend, photos emerged of foreign troops (NATO) already deployed inside Ukraine and fighting the Russians!

Below, a British Sniper Team is shown in Ukraine:

Below, French troops from the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment, which is part of the Special Operations Forces, were deployed to Ukraine. The group includes instructors on the use of MILAN anti-tank systems and AT-4 grenade launchers:

While NATO countries may be claiming they are only sending in advisers or training troops, it is clear that ground forces from NATO countries are already inside Ukraine.  This appears, on its face, to be DeFacto war; exactly what Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov commented about above.

 Meanwhile, inside Russia, near the Ukraine border, acts of war are being covertly committed.   Below, video shows fuel storage tanks in Bryansk, Russia, being blown up by small explosives:

Other acts of war through sabotage, are also being committed.   Below, a "mine" is shown having been placed on Russian railroad tracks.  Such mines detonate when a train rolls over them, destroying tracks and derailing and damaging trains:

It is not likely that Ukrainian troops are perpetrating such acts as they do not have the manpower or expertise to engage in such covert activities.  NATO countries, however, do have such abilities.

While NATO troops are now clearly visible in Ukraine, very new, even "Black Project" NATO weapons are also appearing inside Ukraine.

Previously unknown Western military aid to Ukraine is being unveiled - it appears that Germany delivered pretty rare PARM DM22 HEAT off-route anti-tank mines, which can strike enemy vehicles with fin stabilized rockets up 100 meters away:

In addition, The US Dept. of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)  are fast tracking more black project weapons like the Phoenix Ghost to assist Ukraine.

The Phoenix Ghost tactical drone, a never-before revealed system designed by the US Air Force, will now prove its mettle on the battlefields of Ukraine.

DJ; My impression: Ukraine may not have been an "official" NATO member-like Israel it was integrated in NATO/US defense. Lots of indications of NATO military both in Ukraine and Russia...

There will be a "secret/covert war" (AM hinting at a Putin speech where Putin claimed the CIA was killing journalists investigating Ukraine (& biden ?) corruption...):

-Preparing for further attacks/escalation of the war

-Recognition of possible future targets (including western targets; infrastructure/ports-both in Europe and the America's)

-Diplomacy; trying to find out positions of various countries. (Israel had "private instructors"-"former" IDF in Ukraine, Turkey is a NATO member but does not want a NATO-Russia seabattle in the Black Sea. Iran more and more developing into an ally for both Russia and Syria-fits the Iran goals...limits what Israel can do...).

part 3, International escalation;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9ivr9bznFY or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9ivr9bznFY ; WION-India;U.S. has not ruled out military action in Solomon Islands if China builds a military base in the archipelago. Australia's Defence Minister has said that the country should prepare for war. Palki Sharma Upadhyay brings you a report.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6x3lhCeM9U or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6x3lhCeM9UA US commission on religious freedoms is asking the State Department to list India as a 'country of particular concern'. The commission is also seeking targeted sanctions on India. But the 100-page report makes no mention of rising hate crimes in the US. Palki Sharma Upadhyay tells you more.

DJ; US/NATO insanity is moving towards war (of NATO/AUKUS Australia-UK-US) with China...growing "tensions" with India...(wich is also doing a lot of trade with Iran...)

https://southfront.org/military-situation-in-syria-on-april-26-2022-map-update/ or https://southfront.org/military-situation-in-syria-on-april-26-2022-map-update/

A global picture;

-The insane west is sending weapons to be destroyed in Ukraine in such large numbers that their own armies now may face major shortages...from munition to artillery...

-That same insane west did cut itself of from Russian energy supplies without real replacements...strategic US-oil 1/3 of it send to Europe...

-Since insanity does not stop there the west thinking of sanctions on India, making threats on China

-https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/04/26/681060/Iran-JCPOA-agreement-Vienna or https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/04/26/681060/Iran-JCPOA-agreement-Vienna Iran-deal=off

I did not hear much about https://www.defensenews.com/global/the-americas/2022/03/10/biden-announces-major-non-nato-ally-status-for-colombia/ or https://www.defensenews.com/global/the-americas/2022/03/10/biden-announces-major-non-nato-ally-status-for-colombia/ also Brazil joining NATO was discussed...

Some things first grew very large before they explode...NATO expansionism as a final stage ? NOT bringing peace and security ! In fact used as a US tool against the growing influence of China...

DJ-I think the Middle East may be the major risk for further escalation. The US tried to kick out Assad-by supporting "IS bringing democrazy"....Russia stopped that-with Iran aid.

OPEC/main country most likely Saudi Arabia is slowly switching sides; willing to sell oil to China for Yuan-payments.  Russia may be involved in railway-construction-possibly weapons-deal with Russia. In general-in the Arab world-as in most of the rest of the non-western world-the US/west is seen as a lot of empty words...breaking all agreements they make...Afghanistan was a major disaster, but also "the west" did lose the wars in Iraq, Syria...

Turkey-still NATO-would love to be able to have good relations with both Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Arab world...In many ways Turkish interests are shifting more and more to the east. Turkey-Iran-Pakistan (TIP) cooperation part of that...(with the US-coup against Imran Khan as very unwelcome-but not surprising-intervention).

Turkey has a major problem with the Kurds. Both the US and Israel use the Kurds against Assad in Syria, against Iran. The "Syrian SDF-Kurds" most are PKK-"Turkish" Kurds...(looking at history the Soviet Union may have had more interests in a Kurdistan then NATO ever had...NATO was part of an almost genocide-war against the Kurds...not only in Turkey, but also in Iraq and "Persia"...)

Russia/Syria have been discussing including Kurds as part of the Syrian Arab Army. A question is what price are countries willing to pay for the Kurds to become an ally....A possible solution could be "STIP" Syria-Turkey-Iran/Iraq-Pakistan cooperation...with "Kurdistan" having some basic autonomy inside such a cooperation...

Price for that would be Turkey switching over to the Russian/Iran side. US kicked out of Syria, Iraq AND Turkey...The US may not like that but not in a position to stop that...

-Both Russia and China want to "break" the "US defense line" Japan-Taiwan form. The Solomon Islands-China deal is part of that process. One part of it could be seeking better relations with South Korea-opening up Asian markets (wich may give India, TIP a role).

The other part may "involve Taiwan"...(and maybe some Japanese Islands...Okinawa is strategic-blocking China...)..Taiwan "plans" may see China, Russia trying to get the Philipines, Indonesia, Malaysia  (PIM) change of position. The US coup in Pakistan, AUKUS threats over the Solomon-Islands, US sanctions on India may "see PIM move"...

Russia and China may not need military action against Taiwan to "get a better grip" on Taiwan..."improving relations" with the Bejing final goal being Taiwan willing to accept some Bejing-China (PRC) military presence but avoiding war...in return-like South Korea-getting access to the Asia markets...

DJ-I see the US as the main global aggressor...the US wants military bases, China wants "investments" that they "need to defend"....

Russia-Iran-China cooperation may be able to "beat" NATO....NATO is now wasting military hardware, energy, money on such a level it is destroying itself...

part 4, "the west"

DJ, biden reminds me of the "very old men" leading the Soviet Union in its last years-before Gorbatschow showed up...Their leadership of the "politburo" as the end of a career-most of the Soviet leaders were "old and sick" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstantin_Chernenko or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstantin_Chernenko , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuri_Andropov or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuri_Andropov ..before him you had https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Brezhnev or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Brezhnev and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Brezhnev#Health_problems or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Brezhnev#Health_problems

Biden tries to "look younger"...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Pelosi or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Pelosi only 82...

I think leading a country is a hard job ! You need to be in "good shape" to do such a job for a longer term...most older people-in my opinion-may overestimate themselves...I do not want to exclude "the old" but maybe "limit" the duration of them staying in such a position ?

Most of the European "leaders", even Putin, is (much) younger (Putin is 69-will turn 70 this october).

The "west" has "neo-liberalism" as the main doctrine in some form..."market trade", "freedom (of trade they mean !)" is the basic idea...However, besides the climate and pandemic/health problems a main product of that ideology is a few get very rich at the costs of most others (and often via tax-money ending up in party-sponsors; legal corruption.)

Of course "the western elite/media" deny the problem..."what they do is legal-because they make it legal...they make the law..."

Before "neo-liberalism" a more "social-democratic" balancing between public and private interests was the norm...somehow vanishing the way the Soviet Union vanished...in the 90's.

-In the past -1776/1789 may be the major reminder- unbalances resulted in "revolutions" (US/France). We are now moving towards a political/economical system in collapse...

If the job of politicians is to look to the future-give some direction-I wonder how the present politicians in the west think of that job...Busy fighting eachother, trying to get the best jobs AFTER their political carreer is NOT in the public interest !

Creating all kind of (international) organizations-In my idea to create jobs for themselves-is insane...

Polarization, internal conflicts, are part of the proces but will not bring a solution...only other dominant groups/ideas...most likely much more authoritarian...

The lack of political discussion in most of the west on this global, total war is shocking ! Did "democracy" end when Russia invaded Ukraine ????

Again-insanity rules !!! And there is a very high price for that !

DJ, A new reality ? The price "the west" now has to pay...and if there is no change in politics the price will go up much more...

DJ,

You have to understand what Blinken and Lloyd Austin's visit with Zelensky in “Kiev” (probably Poland) really was— It was a kiss-off. It was the signal to the Zelensky regime that US/NATO will not supply heavy weapons or planes, and will not get into this war. It's over.

So expect a lot of other international news—Iran, China, Solomon Islands, etc.—to start taking up the attention bandwidth. The only play for the Biden administration at this point is to distract and divert, and make people forget about Ukraine.

Maybe to early to completely agree with this view...but Ukraine using per day on what the US did mean it could use per week, Ukraine infrastructure being destroyed and sanctions not effective the US may need to review its strategy.

US democrats face a major political crisis in the US...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqtQq7s1y4Q or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqtQq7s1y4Q The Duran on French elections...both the left and right hate Macron...but fail to unite against him. The present political elite managing to describe right wing opposition as  "fascist" while it is the elite itself that is part of/working for that elite..

Macron wants the EU to stop buying Russian energy to weaken Germany (France has lots of nuclear plants) so France (=Macron) can dominate the EU. France also the only nuclear armed EU member...For Macron the Ukraine war is only a tool for getting more (European) power...

Another idea is Eastern Europe did get a dominant position in the EU-and is anti Russian...

For the US high energy prices and inflation is an increasing problem...so the US needs to win in the short term or de-escalate...

DJ,

Some news on the results of the US keeping the Ukraine-fighting Russia-war going;

-https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/iran-china-declare-deepened-military-cooperation-confront-us-unilateralism or https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/iran-china-declare-deepened-military-cooperation-confront-us-unilateralism

The anti-West axis appears to be growing on the peripheries of the Ukraine conflict as Washington is perceived as giving an unbending 'with us or against us' ultimatum. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hailed deepening strategic and military cooperation between the Islamic Republic and China on Wednesday.

According state media cited in The Associated Press, "Raisi told China’s Minister of National Defense Wei Fenghe that Tehran sees its ties with Beijing as strategic. Closer cooperation would serve to confront what the Iranian president described as U.S. unilateralism as talks to revive Tehran’s nuclear deal with world powers have stalled."

DJ; In the recent past Russia was allowed to use Iran air bases for the Syria war-most likely this will expand to more cooperation. Both Russia and China showed interest in using Iran naval facilities. RIC (Russia-Iran-China) do have joined naval excercises-also this could further expand.

https://www.zerohedge.com/military/stinger-missile-production-hit-delays-raytheon-ceo-warns or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/stinger-missile-production-hit-delays-raytheon-ceo-warns

Robert Spingarn from Melius Research asked Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes: "Will the Army replace the current 1,400 stingers that were sent to Ukraine?"

Hayes replied Raytheon is "currently producing stingers for an international customer, but we have a very limited stock of material for stinger production."

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/politico-germany-approves-tank-sales-to-ukraine-bowing-to-pressure.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/politico-germany-approves-tank-sales-to-ukraine-bowing-to-pressure.html ;

It is a short range (5 km / 3 miles) anti-air system on a tank chassis useful against helicopters, drones and low flying planes.

That Scholz decided to offer these, instead of real tanks or armored infantry carriers as the U.S. and the camouflage-Green party demanded, is a nice way out. It guarantees that the Ukrainians will not be able to use them before the war is over.

The Gepard system with its two 35mm cannons is more than 50 years old but has been upgraded two or three times. The Germany army retired their last one of these in 2010. They have since been held in storage.

DJ-You need over a year training to use them...

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russian-army-bombs-airport-hangar-storing-west-supplied-weapons-for-ukraine or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/russian-army-bombs-airport-hangar-storing-west-supplied-weapons-for-ukraine

Russian missiles have struck an arms depot housing weapons from the United States and European countries donated to Ukraine.

The Russian defense ministry said its Kaliber missiles destroyed hangars in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine which contained "a large batch of foreign weapons and ammunition supplied to Ukrainian troops by the United States and European countries".

DJ; It is getting harder to get supplies to the Ukraine frontlines...(Corruption is also still a major problem-there are some reports of Ukraine Army military selling those weapons to militia/Russians/criminals...)

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20220427-turkiye-expanding-russia-payment-system-to-assist-tourists-says-minister/ or https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20220427-turkiye-expanding-russia-payment-system-to-assist-tourists-says-minister/ DJ; Turkey has a lot of Russian-and Chinese-tourists...The Russian and Chinese alternatives for international payments are growing fast and may replace the western ones soon in many countries (in Asia, Africa, Latin America).

So-how is this war going for the west ? Sanctions seem to damage the west harder, in a military sense Russia is winning...https://ejmagnier.com/2022/04/27/%ef%bf%bcno-wwiii-is-expected-and-the-us-wants-to-end-the-war-while-victorious/ or https://ejmagnier.com/2022/04/27/%ef%bf%bcno-wwiii-is-expected-and-the-us-wants-to-end-the-war-while-victorious/ ;

Nevertheless, Russian President Vladimir Putin showed a capacity to accept heavy losses and altered his initial plan with more achievable objectives to control Donbas and the south of Ukraine. If Russia manages to achieve its goals, Ukraine will have no more extended access to the Azov and the Black Sea, and when Donbas falls, it will lose a third of its land territory.

Therefore, unless there is a significant NATO direct intervention, the risk of a nuclear war is still out of reach. The West is aware of Russia’s missile capability and its possession of the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons. This is why the west is walking on the edge with Russia, studying the powers of the Russian forces in Ukraine, the type of weapons used and providing the Ukrainian army with adequate weapons that make the Russian victory very costly but inevitable.

The West is trying to persuade Russia indirectly to stop the war so Ukraine can claim victory following the failure of the Russian first phase of attack and beat Russia in propaganda and mainstream media. The Western harsh economic and financial sanctions are not intended to stop the war or change the course of the battle but to impoverish Russia and Europe, which are both significantly suffering from the consequences of its sanctions with worse to come.

Ukraine goal was to pull Moldova/Romania into the war...it failed.

In short;

-The west is running out of supplies to keep the war going

-US "democrats" fear hyperinflation and other economic damage will cost them the november midterm elections

-Most of Europe did not even want this-biden-war

-The west is marginalizing itself high speed; diplomatic, economic, military...

After failed wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen this Ukraine US-made war is just another foreign policy disaster !

The Baltic states questioning what NATO can mean for them in case of a conflict. Sweden, Finland may think twice...will the US realy go for an all out war to defend Finland ???

DJ-The war in Ukraine is not over yet. But with western supplies drying up-Ukraine even running out of fuel-the fascist Kiev puppet regime will have to accept very harsh Russian conditions.

In western countries the population should ask what kind of "leaders" they have...time for major changes !

DJ some of his points;

-Poland pushing for a (energy) crisis between the EU and Russia because -in fact-they hate Russia...Both Bulgaria and Poland now may buy Russian energy via western partners...

-Several western countries do increase import of Russian energy NOW-to be able to stop importing it later on...

-The west is willing to send/sending a "mix of weapons" to Ukraine...a lot of them may not be that usefull-due to lack of training, spare parts, fitting munition..(AM mentions MoA-German "tanks"...maybe in Germany around ten people know how those "tanks" work...are able to give instructions).

-Ukraine sending more and more "reservists" to the frontlines. untrained...simply no chance...

-Eventhough Ukraine is now "mixing trains" with civilians and military goods in one train-russia is knocking out infrastructure...

-Russia going for a "slow motion offensive'-limiting their own losses while Ukraine now may see "hundreds of military deaths per day"....

-AM, The EU should not follow US neo-cons but go foe European interests...

DJ-My reaction-and why I think risks of nuclear war are INcreasing...

US goals are; stopping EurAsian integration, saving US$, regime change in Moscow (one could also include show of strength, NATO expansion etc..)

The US is failing in reaching ANY of these goals !

Since energy in Europe has been "privatized" it is companies-not governments-deciding on what energy they buy where and how. Several companies accept "new Russian rules" and pay with Euro's (so not US$) to Gazprombank-that changes that deposit into Rubles for payment...DJ-Maybe even worse !!! lots of countries did privatize the energy sector by selling it to the highest bidder...I would not be surprised if some major European energy companies may be owned-at least to a certain %-by Russian (or Chinese) companies/investors (with an office in a taxhaven...so in name it is not Russian...

Privatization may have caused both Europe and the US simply not knowing who owns essential companies...The energy and infrastructure (air/ports) are both strategic and were for sale in countries that had a debt problem...Greece did sell Pireus-port to China in the Euro-crisis...

https://thecradle.co/Article/news/9638 or https://thecradle.co/Article/news/9638 ;Iran’s exports to Africa stood at about $579 million dollars two years ago, which increased by 107 percent to one billion dollars last year

DJ; So European governments may be "limited" in what they can do in the-internationalized-energy sector. In the EU power is linked-if one country has a shortage of electricity-or prices are to high-a press on a button may see electricity being imported from another country. France in winter-nuclear power, in summer, autumn solar/wind from Germany, Denmark are already major factors. A lot of Russian oil and gas may NOT be used in powerplants but in industry...Here in NL glas-houses so far did use a lot of gas for heating.

-The US$ and now also the Euro/€ face growing problems. Using a currency as a weapon did backfire. Also SWIFT-international banking did not show to be irreplaceable..kicking Russia out of SWIFT did see an "Asian alternative" grow high speed.

The US will use the $300 billion it stole from Russia to “finance” Ukraine—which means Zelensky and his goons will be multi-billionaires before they flee for their nice comfy mansions in Italy and Miami. That's what's going to happen—only a child or a fool would think otherwis

DJ, I believe also Canada may use "frozen Russian accounts" to pay Ukraine...however all the weapons being send to Ukraine, 7 billion per month to the Kiev-junta-to "keep Ukraine going" is NOT a western gift...So the west may use money they steal from Russia to "balance" the "help" send to Ukraine...

1.If the west ever wants to do any bussiness with Russia Russia wants it money back !

2.ANY government will think twice before putting money in ANY western bank...

3.Russia, Iran, OPEC "run' global energy...de-dollarization may now go high speed !

-Regime change in Moscow may happen because of Putin his age/health. But whoever replaces him will maybe even more hardline against "the West"...

So-present situation-if neo-cons, bojo, Poland PiS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_and_Justice or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_and_Justice ;Prawo i Sprawiedliwość

want to show strength and resolve "going nuclear" may be a next step in escalation...

DJ Also lots of other frontlines...Besides that-the west may see "serious problems" soon resulting in "growing social unrest"...(with also another CoViD-pandemic wave, climate collapse related fires/drought/food crisis...

Infact I think the outlook is getting even worse, not better...The basic problem is US exceptionalism-tunnelvision...blind for a fast changing world. Europe "leaders" following US orders...

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/uk-wants-global-nato-capable-defending-pacific or https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/uk-wants-global-nato-capable-defending-pacific ;

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said her government favors the creation of a “global NATO” that is able to guarantee the defense of Taiwan and the broader Pacific region, calling for preemptive action against would-be aggressors.

In an address outlining UK foreign policy on Wednesday, Truss said London rejects the “false choice between Euro-Atlantic security and Indo-Pacific security,” instead arguing “we need both.”

-

In seeking to create a globe-spanning military coalition able to project power across the Pacific, Truss may find a partner in South Korea’s President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol, who is now considering whether to join the Quad and AUKUS organizations. Yoon has staked out a more hawkish stance than his predecessor toward both China and North Korea, even urging Washington to re-deploy nuclear bombers and submarines to the Korean peninsula earlier this month.

I don’t think they are engaging in any nuclear cooperation, but we’ll have to see what happens over the next few years and decades.”

DJ, A total incapability of self reflection in the US foreign policy...a total lack of any basic respect for countries not following US orders...the US destroying the UN...

DJ, US and Canada simply stealing assets from Russians to "give it to Ukraine" 9or put in their own corrupt pockets...). Poland would have plans to send in a "protection force" into western Ukraine. It would be NOT a NATO operation but a Polish "R2P" Right-to-Protect the Polish minority in NW Ukraine...BTW; Poland buying Russian gas-a at a higher price-from Germany...(Poland still not in the Euro-zone, so would have to exchange its currency anyway...).

Russia did give a clear warning any western intervention into Ukraine would see a Russian reaction. So sending military goods has resulted in Russia blowing up infrastructure in the west of Ukraine...DJ-During World War Two Ukraine nazi-nationalists killed 100,000 Polish people, the Poles killed 20,000 Ukrainians.

 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galicia_(Eastern_Europe) or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galicia_(Eastern_Europe) DJ-After W.W.1 there were civil wars both in Ukraine and Poland. Polish nationalists pushed towards Kiev...After W.W.2 "Poland was moved west" had to include some former parts of Germany...

AC thinks of two options if Poland would send in troops into Ukraine; A Russian military reaction, or Russia not doing much....I think a third option is Russia trying to create an Ukraine-Polish war...

DJ, Another "western plan" could be UK trying to push Turkey for "adventures in the Crimea..." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_War or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_War there are lots of old conflicts that can be "restarted"...

European companies now buy Russian energy via Gazprom-bank, indirect for Rubles-as A.M. mentioned earlier-renewal of contract will see Russia selling energy-most likely other export (grain, raw materials)-only in Rubles for "unfriendly nations".

The United States and the NATO powers of Europe have set into motion a chain of events that is leading to World War III.

In her famed work on the outbreak of World War I, The Guns of August, Barbara Tuchman detailed how miscalculations, the ubiquitous belief in a brief and winnable conflict, and irreversible tactical maneuvers—the “ifs, errors, and commitments”—accumulated as the imperialist powers dragged the workers of Europe into the snarl of the trenches and the slaughter of the Great War.

A similar dynamic is unfolding in the US-NATO conflict with Russia. The US-supplied howitzers and massive deployment of weapons into Ukraine are sounding the Guns of April.

In mid-March, US President Joe Biden repeatedly stated that he would not allow direct conflict between the United States and Russia, because “that would mean World War III.” A month later, this is precisely what the Biden administration is doing.

-

The aims of the war are now clear. The bloodshed in Ukraine was not provoked to defend its technical right to join NATO, but rather was prepared, instigated and massively escalated in order to destroy Russia as a significant military force and to overthrow its government. Ukraine is a pawn in this conflict, and its population is cannon fodder.

The Ramstein war council was organized to plot the next stage in this scheme. Prior to and in the aftermath of the meeting, the US and other NATO powers announced the deployment of advanced weaponry to Ukraine, including anti-tank missiles, tanks and tactical drones.

-

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov responded, accusing the United States of pressuring the Ukrainian government to sabotage peace talks and of conducting a proxy war in Ukraine. He warned that there was a “serious, real” danger of nuclear war. Austin dismissed Lavrov’s warning as “dangerous and unhelpful.”

What nonsense! Washington assembles a war camp and states that it aims to “break the back” of Russia. When Russia responds that such language and goals raise the danger of nuclear war, Washington declares this to be … unhelpful.

The United States has made clear that it aims to crush Russia and topple its government. Faced with such an existential threat, the use of nuclear weapons becomes a tactic the Russian ruling class will weigh. Washington is determined to win the war, the Putin government is determined to prevent that from happening. There is no way out for either side but escalation. Lavrov is in fact correct: nuclear war is a real and serious danger.

-

A decisive defeat of Russia in the conflict requires the ever more direct involvement of the NATO powers themselves, up to and including the deployment of troops.

With its arms shipments, sweeping declarations and councils of war, the United States has staked its entire credibility on the defeat of Russia in this conflict. “The stakes reach beyond Ukraine and even beyond Europe,” Austin declared on Tuesday. The fate of American hegemony, including the credibility of its threats against China, hangs in the balance. The reckless decisions made by Washington have thus become the major premise in the logic of further escalation.

DJ; The US "democrats" wanted war with Russia, US "republicans" go for war with China...I wonder how much the Military Industrial shares will go up..."politicians" making money out of war...

Since by now it is clear the US goal is staying #1-whatever the costs not only BRICS, also Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria may "reconsider their position"...The "west" going for self destruction high speed...Total stupidity however could end us all in a nuclear war...

When NASA needed a pen that worked in zero gravity, they spent $1 million dollars on its developments. The Russians used a pencil.

@McFaul
 ·
Biden's new aid package to Ukraine -- $33 billion, including $20 billion in military assistance. 2021 Russian military budget -- $65.9 billion.

may indicate the total insanity !

As AM mentioned; growing chaos, hyperinflation in "the west"...DJ-in 1776 there was a US revolution, the French followed in 1789...You can not spent billions of fiat currency ending up in the pockets of the rich-while the rest of the world is getting poorer and ill, climate collapse getting worse...of course there will be a "public reaction"...

Another try,

From https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/ukraine-open-thread-2022-56/comments/page/3/#comments or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/ukraine-open-thread-2022-56/comments/page/3/#comments ;

The threat of Poland invading Ukraine to round up and detain 'Ukrainian nationalists' should not be a surprise for students of history. The two largest Slavic population nations after Russia have been having an up and down one day chicken (peace), next day chickenshit (war) relationship since at least the 14th century when warlords of Kingdom of Poland and the Ruthenian Kingdom would inter-marry have peace for a while, then fall out for a spot of war.

Fine for the nobility but not great for the masses who were expected to grab their pitchforks & scythes, then head off to kill or be killed.

The 20th century saw two of those conflicts, the first in 1918-1919 in the Ukrainian-Polish War in Galicia

The Ukrainian-Polish War broke out in late 1918 as a result of the Polish rejection of Ukrainian efforts to establish an independent state—the Western Ukrainian National Republic (ZUNR)—in the wake of the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The major issue of dispute in the conflict was control over eastern Galicia, a predominantly Ukrainian ethnic territory regarded by the Poles as an integral part of the historical Polish realm. As the boundaries of the new Polish state had not yet been established, and the ZUNR had not been granted international diplomatic recognition, the matter was ultimately reduced to a question of control by military force.

The current proposed invasion appears to be pretty much a repeat of that action, which won't have official 'Nato' support but which is being underwritten by amerika.

Poles will be motivated by the second conflict launched under cover of WW2 when the majority of Stepan Bandera's Ukrainian nazis were used in Poland as the enforcement arm of Nazi oppression. It is well known that they rounded up Polish jews, less well known is their role of dealing with recalcitrant Polish local politicians. In addition Poland has always claimed that it was the Ukrainian NKVD who did the bulk of the alleged killing of Polish officers at Katyn.

One of the reasons the Rus who originated from sweden as vikings without the ships, had so little difficulty defeating indigenous slavs to establish Russia was that many slavic communities rated other neighbouring Slavic communities as being their worst enemy, making it simple for the Rus to use those conflicts by backing one side or the other to establish primacy. The same tactics as the english tried in Africa and south asia many centuries later.

I dunno what amerika is thinking making this a three way conflict, sure it could make the conflict last longer, but the other side of that coin is that it vastly increases the chance of Russia luring one of the other two participants into joining forces, especially if that party feels amerika has neglected it in favour of another.

I guess some will find this interesting, but many others will feel that such interest comes at too high a price. As the conflict intensifies, gets more personal for some, an increase in butchery & torture just for the hell of it is inevitable.

Staggering information is coming out of Turkish media outlets today claiming that at least fifty (50) senior officers of the French military, are trapped underground at the Azovstal steel mill plant in Mariupol Ukraine, surrounded by Russian troops.

The media is claiming that this information was kept ultra-secret due to the then-upcoming French presidential elections, and had the French people known that those men were in Ukraine, actually supervising Ukrainian war efforts against Russia, the French presidential election would likely have gone to Marie LePen instead of re-electing Emmanuel Macron.

Even more shocking, information is coming out claiming the Russia missile cruiser Moskva, which suffered explosions - said to be from missile hits - may have been hit thanks to those French (NATO) officers.

The biden-war

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/ukraine-doubling-down.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/04/ukraine-doubling-down.html ;

Most of above sums will go the U.S. arms industry to deliver weapons for which the Ukraine has little use or which never will reach the frontline. The rest will be pilfered by Ukrainian oligarchs.

That financial doubling down will not be very effective.

There is also the possibility of doubling down by widening the war. This could be in Bosnia where attacks on the Serbian population could drag the Russian ally Serbia into another war. An additional war could also be created in Transnistria (marked as a lengthy strip on the left of the above maps). This could involve not only forces from the Ukraine but also from Moldova, Romania and Poland. In the early 1990s a small war between Moldova and the Russian population in Transnistria ended in 1992 with a ceasefire and Russian peacekeeper troops on the ground.

In a piece about Biden's new pledge of money to Ukraine the NYT notes:

The Ukrainian military said it was moving more troops to the border with Transnistria, a small breakaway region in Moldova, on Ukraine’s southwest flank, hundreds of miles from the fighting on the eastern front.

Should those troops do something Russia does not like it will likely use its air and missile capabilities to destroy their fighting power. President Putin certainly did not mean Transnistria when he recently spoke to Russian lawmakers and threatened retaliation:

Let me emphasise once again: if anyone intends to intervene from the outside and create a strategic threat to Russia that is unacceptable to us, they should know that our retaliatory strikes will be lightning-fast. We have the tools we need for this, the likes of which no one else can claim at this point. We will not just brag; we will use them if necessary. And I want everyone to know this; we have made all the decisions on this matter.

That threat was likely a response to rumors that the U.S. and UK are planing to deliver longer range missiles to Ukraine to be use against targets on Russian grounds. That would be another form of doubling down but also a way more dangerous one.

Ukraine is a victim here but not a victim of Russia but of much bigger plans in the U.S. which did its best to instigate this war (recommended).

As Michael Hudson explains (vid), the economic consequences of this war will be catastrophic for many countries and people. But the neocons who are running the war do not care about those. They have a plan to profit from it. They want to stay the unipolar power of the globe. To them it is a game and their main motives include an ingrained hatred towards Russia.

DJ http://thesaker.is/pepe-escobar-and-danny-haiphong-russia-china-and-the-post-dollar-world/ or http://thesaker.is/pepe-escobar-and-danny-haiphong-russia-china-and-the-post-dollar-world/  A main reason for this global war; de-dollar-ization...

Political climate in Washington is increasingly weird in terms of China-related topics. Why is there so much irrationality on China in the US? How to view China-US relations from a constructive perspective? The Global Times (GT) interviewed several Chinese and American observers on these topics.

DJ; Iran is getting closer to Russia and China-most because of western actions/sanctions...

https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/heatwave-triggers-indian-power-crisis-state-firms-negotiate-russia-crude-imports-secure or https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/heatwave-triggers-indian-power-crisis-state-firms-negotiate-russia-crude-imports-secure supplies;

Western sanctions against Russia forced many countries to find alternative sources, but a growing number of G-20 members are becoming defiant and ignoring Washington and continuing to do business with Moscow outside the dollar system.

Reuters also notes that New Delhi has asked state-run energy companies to evaluate a potential purchase of European oil major BP's stake in sanctions-hit Russian firm Rosneft. BP exited its stake in Rosneft in late February, taking a massive $25 billion hit.

India is securing its future with fossil fuels from sanctioned Russia to ensure its supplies for power generation remain adequate. New Delhi is ignoring Washington's request to boycott Russia shows the West's waning control over the rest of the world. Is this the latest example of a bipolar world emerging?

DJ India is the 3td economy of the world-expected to pass the US within a decade...and will NOT be using the US$ ! Also from Saudi Arabia-oil in yuan to Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa are NOT following "US orders"...

This biden-war is driven by insanity of an old man in the White House, and a clique of "western-dominance dreamers" https://southfront.org/uk-u-s-regime-now-goes-for-the-kill-against-both-russia-china-is-nuclear-primacy-likely-to-be-reached-soon/ or https://southfront.org/uk-u-s-regime-now-goes-for-the-kill-against-both-russia-china-is-nuclear-primacy-likely-to-be-reached-soon/ . The basic idea is "global growth is okay as long as it serves the US/UK"...

DJ-Insanity driven wars (often with a "religious excuse") are often "uncontrolable"...the enemy is "a worthless non-believer", "sub-human"...Western propaganda describing Russians as "monsters' is a sign of insanity...

I do not doubt -most-Asian countries are in contact with each other. They have to face a "last colonial war" against a (pro) western block unwilling to learn.

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/north-korea-observers-say-kim-readying-first-nuclear-test-2017 or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/north-korea-observers-say-kim-readying-first-nuclear-test-2017

Most of the risks are NOT in Europe but in Asia...

DJ-Only the headline itself is making the point; https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/tick-tock-hartnett-turns-apocalyptic-says-carnage-accelerate-max-pain-and-exit-waiting or https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/tick-tock-hartnett-turns-apocalyptic-says-carnage-accelerate-max-pain-and-exit-waiting ...since insanity is the basis for this war the West may have started a conflict they can not win...high speed destruction of their own (fiat based-empty) currencies-and with that-their economies...

The only remaining option is "go nuclear"....The only way to stop that is "regime change" in the west...

Every dictatorship has a propaganda arm—a “Ministry of Truth.” The Biden Administration has now formally joined the ranks of such dictatorships with their creation of the so-called “Disinformation Governance Board.”

DJ, Maybe the best part of the very bad news is; there are better alternatives ! People that can get the west out of this downward spiral of insanity !

DJ,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpc1ar0kMU4&t=1s or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpc1ar0kMU4&t=1s Alexander Mercouris/AM ;Ukraine Admits Retreats in Eastern Ukraine, Time Running out For Azovstal, Russia Warns Poland Against Ukraine Invasion News Topic 481

In short;

-Azovstal commander (?) referring to 1940 dunkirk resque-indicating the commander does not realize the position Azovstal is in. fodd is running out...only options surrender or die.

-Basically also only options for Ukraine-fighters in Donbas. position is getting impossible. Supplies may not reach the frontlines.

-Western 'leaders" by now must be aware of Ukraine being beaten-however still stick to "supporting Kiev-junta"

-US may have an HQ in Western Ukraine-Lviv. Kiev-junta offices are in Russian crosshairs. Russia may attack both Kiev and Lviv military HQ.

-Poland thinking of "moving in" is not stopped by other western "leaders" -but  russia will use missiles against them.

-Biden, Bojo (both most likely soon replaced-but replacement may NOT be improvement), Germany, France unable to get back to realism. Keep this war going on...

-US now funding Kiev-junta (like they did with South Vietnam, Iran after 2003, Afghanistan under US occupation)...

-Moldova wants to stay out of the war (and not waiting for NATO to push them into the war...).

DJ-The "grinding" of (pro) Ukraine forces will result in a collapse of (parts of) Ukraine. US/UK may be "pushing" Poland for "unwise actions" in Ukraine. NATO article 5 does NOT offer protection when a NATO member attacks/invades another country-even for "peace keeping".  However a further escalation may provide room for NATO starting a (nuclear) war against Russia.

DJ-Since "countries not following US orders are enemies" and UK pushing for a "global NATO" also against China-such an escalation would see global war.

DJ-There have been limited attacks inside Russia-not far from the Ukraine border. Most likely those attacks were done by western "special forces". Russia may react likewise. So if UK/US (others) see explosions in oil-storage/transport the Russian message may be clear-"we can do what you can do"...

-In Mariupol-Azovstal there may be "lots of westeners" (France, UK, US, Israel)...A reason why "the west" is keeping the war escalating is they want those western military out...

Some twitter;

As long as the UN is dominated & controlled by NATO regimes & their allies, there's no hope for this body to be a force for good. The UN is responsible for assisting the genocide in Yemen. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is personally responsible for the starvation seige.

DJ-The (neo-colonial) west destroying the UN .

This is Detroit not Ukraine. While billions of dollars was sent to Ukraine. #AmericaLast

DJ, It is the poor that pay the price. US inflation at "Vietnam war" levels...Censorship a new normal...

AM also mentioning the perspectives are only worsening-if there is no(t) more rational western leadership...For now "NATO" in a tunnelvision...again running out of weapons that can NOT be replaced because Russia, China will not send the needed materials...

DJ-A further escalation will bring the western energy sector under attack, cyber warfare...Rest of the world-by now-may not be happy with F-UK-US nuclear weapons...Social unrest will explode in the west...a "hot summer" is on its way...

DJ; "Not the sharpest knives in the draw", from blinken to nuland...the US problem is much wider then just biden....Here in Europe "Atlantacists" rule foreign policy. If there is a "counter balance" it may be from industry, bussinesses-the Asia market is the future...

-Ukraine preparing excersises near Moldova/Transnistria

-Poland not being stopped by the US (or EU) far making plans for "getting involved more" into Ukraine. DJ-Very likely Ukraine nationalists may welcome Russian missile strikes against the Poles in such a scenario...

-US hardliners/neo cons may be pushing Romania for "actions"-move into Moldova ? (DJ-Will Moldova seek protection-NATO is an agressor-Russia is not their favorite...China is able to fly in troops ???)

-Neo-con "strategy"; create chaos-funded by fiat dollars-let the tax payer pay for their profits and they then walk away...get away with it...

DJ-In the Arab world it must be frustrating to see how Israel gets away with its agression-airstrikes in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq. The Palestine-question is dividing the Middle East. Solving that problem united with Iran, Turkey may be a step towards "religious peace" in Islam...Of course "solving the Palestine problem" may be the end of Israel...Israel needs to find another way to survive-the US can no longer protect Israel enough...

Again-in East Asia, US seeking nuclear weapons being stationed-one way or the other-in South Korea is a red line being crossed for Russia, China...North Korea going for another nuclear test should be seen as a warning. US foreign policy disasters is pushing North Korea, Russia and China towards each other...

There are lots of small islands-now under Japanese control-that may be hard to defend...Since there is no longer any point in talks with "the west"DJ-I think "plans are being prepared" for further "actions" in East Asia. Also diplomacy trying to push Vietnam, Philipines, Indonesia, Malaysia towards the "Asia-camp".

India is still a ? If possible Modi/India would like to cencentrate on their own problems and conflicts. However western foreign stupidity-"If you are not with us you are against us" may push India even closer to old enemies Pakistan and China. India has old friendship with Russia-good relations with Iran...

Africa, Latin America "the global south" is facing a worsening climate, water, energy, food crisis. DJ-Russia, China may be in a better position to offer help...the west is sinking into the self-made crisis...less and less able to offer anything else then support for fascist "leaders"...

Australia, Japan as US "allies"/ "Pacific NATO" may do to those countries what US-biden-insanity is doing to Europe; create chaos, hyperinflation-growing military risks...Australia needs to be able to export what it is producing...has allready very major problems (climate change; from flooding, drought to wildfires).

Japan is very vulnerable-a "strong Japan" is NOT welcomed in East Asia (just like most Europeans are not jumping from joy over a stronger Germany...even the UK may have doubts...Does not want a strong German navy...).

So-as far as I can see this is the basis for further escalation-when leaders in the west remain blind and stupid...

The perspectives are that far more worse then any pandemic or climate collapse now is...Again we need better leaders in the west or may not survive it...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ;

in short;

-Ukraine military in the east of Ukraine more and more getting encircled-two options; surrender or die

-Ukraine running out of fuel

-Western weapon supplies (by far) not enough to replace Ukraine losses

-Poland may have/be sending 50% !!!! of its (T-72) tanks to Ukraine

(DJ US weapon producers warning they may not be able to increase enough new replacements).

-Western strategy is "draining Russia" -via a long Ukraine war; AM the west is draining itself...

In the sanctions war Russian inflation now around European level but going down-while EU/UK/US see inflation going up

-Countries like India, China, even Indonesia have an energy shortage-so they increase buying Russian energy

-EU will stop buying Russian oil (with growing worries from US, UK) end of this year...

-Germany still buying gas from Russia-but has to then sell it to Finland, Denmark, Bukgaria, Baltic States-so not getting enough for next winter

-Russia is self-supporting for food, energy...the west is NOT !!!

-DJ"NATO-stan" is getting isolated...

From https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-empire-lies-operation-z-new-global-chessboard or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-empire-lies-operation-z-new-global-chessboard ;

In a subtle reference to the work of Sergei Glazyev, as the Minister in Charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasia Economic Union explained in our recent interview, Patrushev hit the heart of the current geoeconomic game, with Russia now actively moving towards a gold standard: “Experts are working on a project proposed by the scientific community to create a two-circuit monetary and financial system. In particular, it is proposed to determine the value of the ruble, which should be secured by both gold and a group of goods that are currency values, to put the ruble exchange rate in line with real purchasing power parity.”

That was inevitable after the outright theft of over $300 billion in Russian foreign reserves. It may have taken a few days for Moscow to be fully certified it was facing Totalen Krieg. The corollary is that the collective West has lost any power to influence Russian decisions. The pace of the game in the new chessboard is being set by Russia.

Earlier in the week, in his meeting with the UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres, Putin went as far as stating that he’d be more than willing to negotiate – with only a few conditions: Ukrainian neutrality and autonomy status for Donbass. Yet now everyone knows it’s too late. For a Washington in Totalen Krieg mode negotiation is anathema – and that has been the case since the aftermath of the Russia-Ukraine meeting in Istanbul in late March.

So far, on Operation Z, the Russian Armed forces have used only 12% of its soldiers,10% of its fighter jets, 7% of its tanks, 5% of its missiles, and 4% of its artillery. The pain dial is set to go substantially up – and with the total liberation of Mariupol and the resolution one way or another of the Donbass cauldron there is nothing the hysteria/propaganda/weaponizing combo deployed by the collective West can do to alter facts on the ground.

That includes desperate gambits such as the one uncovered by SVR – Russian foreign intel, which very rarely makes mistakes. SVR found out that the Empire of Lies/War Inc. axis is pushing not only for a de facto Polish invasion to annex Western Ukraine, under the banner of “historical reunification”, but also for a joint Romanian/Ukrainian invasion of Moldova/Transnistria, with Romanian “peacekeepers” already piling up near the Moldova border.

Washington, as the SVR maintains, has been plotting the Polish gambit for over a month now. It would “lead from behind” (remember Libya?), “encouraging” a “group of countries” to occupy Western Ukraine. So partition is already on the cards. Were that ever to materialize, it will be fascinating to bet on which locations Mr. Sarmat would be inclined to distribute his business card.

DJ By going for a "long war" the west is destroying Ukraine...but also destroying itself-already facing major problems. In a war-economy (like the US had in W.W.2) you need access to resources, you need allies...

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had once again detailed how the Americans “no longer insist on the implementation of international law, but on respect for the ‘rules-based world order’. These ‘rules’ are not deciphered in any way. They say that now there are few rules. For us, they don’t exist at all. There is international law. We respect it, as does the UN Charter. The key provision, the main principle is the sovereign equality of states. The U.S. flagrantly violates its obligations under the UN Charter when it promotes its ‘rules’”.

Lavrov had to stress, once again, that the current incandescent situation may be compared to the Cuban Missile Crisis: “In those years, there was a channel of communication that both leaders trusted. Now there is no such channel. No one is trying to create it.”

The Empire of Lies, in its current state, does not do diplomacy.

DJ, The "west" may be looking for (another) long war..."to weaken Russia" ; facts may be -again-indicating the "west" is damaging itself much harder...Has a total unrealistic view of how the 2022 world is working...Again-most countries can do without the west...The West needs others much more then they need "us"...

So-if the goal is "regime change" in Moscow-the only option remaining is nuclear...We need to get of this road NOW !!!

End of part 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcv44Su4xJc or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcv44Su4xJc WION-India;The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution requiring P5 members to justify their use of veto powers. India's representative criticised the reform as a 'take it or leave it' offer that ignores the root problems at the UN. Palki Sharma Upadhyay tells you more.

DJ-The UN needs to reform or it will be obsolete...BRICS need a place in the security council, Brazil, India, South Africa need better representation...

What problem is Biden talking about? How should India see this comment? Molly Gambhir tells you.

DJ; India did not ask biden for his opinion on the state of India democracy...India does not want to be yet another tool for US foreign policy...but India is seeking a partnership based on mutual respect...

DJ-India does NOT have pipelines linking it with Russia...import of Russian energy is limited (1/60th of EU imports for 2021...something like that...the EU still is importing Russian energy, US buying Russian oil, uranium...).

Since the basic US goal is a "uni-polar world" in wich the US is at the top-telling other countries what to do-or else they learn why the US has that many military bases around the globe-a lot of countries are getting fed up with US colonialism and racism, "exceptionalism"...

China; https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202204/1260636.shtml or https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202204/1260636.shtml ; Liz Truss, UK Foreign Secretary, delivered what the Financial Times described as a "hawkish set-piece" speech at a banquet in London on Wednesday. Her target was China. She said "NATO must have a global outlook," and "needs to preempt threats in the Indo-Pacific." Then she bluntly pointed out that they "must ensure that democracies like Taiwan are able to defend themselves." It's fair to say that Truss' remarks are the most blatant and ambitious statements among those made by US and Western politicians for a while about "the globalization of NATO."

DJ; The idea of a "global NATO" only can be seen as a new form of western colonialism....The idea that ANY non western country will buy that is insane...

-China and Russia have been trying to get peace and de-nuclearization in Korea. US plans now to also (again) have US nuclear weapons in South Korea is a danger for all of Asia. The US having Japan as its major ally-Koreans united in hate against Japan-is "unwise". South Korea bussiness has its future in Asia NOT in "the west"...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korea_under_Japanese_rule or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korea_under_Japanese_rule should NOT repeat itself in another form !

Some very odd stuff in the Sunday comics above^. Nothing worse than a Russian misinformation troll living in the free world, disgusting...

There's only one "leader" destroying countries, war criminal and leader of a terrorist nation, Putin. Hopefully reports of his battle with cancer are true and he expires shortly.

Now back to the news....

Russia's economy could spiral into a depression under an EU oil embargo. Here's why Moscow won't be able to rely on China and India to fill the gap.
If the European Union imposes a sweeping Russian oil embargo, it could send Russia's economy into a depression, an analyst told Insider. Russia will have to slash its oil production because the country has very limited domestic storage capacity, said Kpler's lead oil analyst. Moscow will likely turn to China and India to help take on more oil supplies, but they won't be able to fill the gap.

Britain says Russian troll factory is spreading disinformation on social media, even on obscure flu talk websites.

ONDON (Reuters) - The British Foreign Office said on Sunday Russia is using a troll factory to spread disinformation about the war in Ukraine on social media and target politicians across a number of countries including Britain and South Africa.

Britain cited UK-funded expert research, which it did not publish. It said the research exposed how the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign was designed to manipulate international public opinion of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, boost support for it and recruit new sympathisers.

Russia calls its actions in Ukraine a “special operation” to disarm Ukraine and protect it from fascists. Ukraine and the West say the fascist allegation is baseless and the war is an unprovoked act of aggression.

Russia says the Western media have provided an excessively partial narrative of the war that largely ignores Moscow’s concerns about the enlargement of NATO and what it says is the persecution of Russian speakers in Ukraine, something denied by Kyiv.

“We cannot allow the Kremlin and its shady troll farms to invade our online spaces with their lies about Putin’s illegal war,” Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said in a statement.

“The UK Government has alerted international partners and will continue to work closely with allies and media platforms to undermine Russian information operations.”

Kiev is Losing Stuff Faster than the West can Send it

by James Tweedie for the Saker Blog

The stated aims of Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine include the de-Nazification and demilitarisation of the Kiev regime.

In opposition, the NATO member states led by the US are arming the Ukraine and its Nazi battalions, while sending thousands of “volunteers”, “advisors” and other mercenaries to fight with the aim of prolonging the war for years.

The question, as always, is who is winning?

In a media briefing on March 25, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) revealed some of its estimates of Ukrainian military strength before the operation commenced on February 24, focussing on heavy equipment, along with its claims of how much had been destroyed so far.

According to the MoD, Ukraine began the war with 2,416 armoured vehicles — although it did not say how many were main battle tanks (MBTs), infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) or armoured personnel carriers (APCs). The MoD also listed 1,509 field artillery guns and mortars, 535 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 152 fixed-wing aircraft, 149 helicopters, 180 medium- and long-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems and 300 radars of various kinds in the Ukrainian inventory.

The MoD’s twice-daily briefings include updates on Ukrainian loses from those equipment stocks. The April 29 morning report claimed 2,638 tanks and armoured vehicles destroyed — 222 more than the ministry said the Ukraine started the war with. On top of that are the many reports of Russian troops or Donbass militia capturing Ukrainian equipment intact or repairable and putting it back into service for themselves.

Two-thirds of the Ukrainian air force’s helicopters and four-fifths of its fighter and attack jets are gone as well, according to Moscow, along with most of its anti-aircraft weapons. Even the US Department of Defence’s spokesman admitted in mid-April that the UAF had less than 20 aircraft in late March. And Ukraine does not have a navy anymore.

And most importantly to the Russian way of warfare, the MoD claims to have knocked out almost 1,200 Ukrainian artillery pieces and over 300 MLRS units. Meanwhile the Russian air and missile forces have crippled the Ukraine’s ability to replace those losses, destroying factories and repair centres.

Either the MoD under-estimated Ukrainian strength had to start with, or is over-claiming (which always happens in war) or the heavy gear sent by NATO is starting to turn up on the battlefield.

The Ukrainian government has made exaggerated claims of Russian casualties and losses but is very reticent about its own, admitting to only 3,000 soldiers killed and a handful taken prisoner so far.

Russia is also guilty of the old US sin of publishing body-counts. On April 16 the MoD claimed Ukraine had suffered 23,367 “irreplaceable” casualties. The next day it stated that of the 6,824 foreign mercenaries who came to fight for Kiev, Russian forces had “eliminated” 1,035, while 912 had fled the country and 4,877 were still hanging around like a bad smell.

Looking on the Bright Side…

Some Western “military analysts” asserted before the war that the Ukrainian forces had 820-850 tanks, mostly old T-64s left over from the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. If one assumes a ratio of three APCs or IFVs to every MBT, then the Ukraine had about 2,500 infantry carriers and 3,400 armoured vehicles in total.

NATO states were already pouring arms into the Ukraine for years before the conflict escalated, and have sped up the deliveries since then. The US says it has provided 200 M113 APCs, 100 armoured Humvee utility vehicles, 90 M777 155mm howitzers with 183,000 rounds of ammunition, 16 Mi-17 helicopters, enough parts to return 20 derelict Ukrainian aircraft to service and 7,000 Javelin anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). Canada has given four more howitzers.

The UK has sent or pledged 120 APCs, including 80 Mastiff (MRAP) and a “small number” of Alvis Stormer HVM armoured short-range SAM carriers. France is training 40 Ukrainian soldiers to man the CAESAR truck-mounted 155mm howitzers it is donating. Since each vehicle has a crew of five, we can assume that Paris is sending just eight guns. Australia is sending 20 Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles, another lightly-armoured truck.

Poland has sent over 200 Soviet-built T-72 tanks and several dozen BMP-1 IFVs, while the Czech Republic sent a mix of 40 T-72s and BMP-1s. Slovakia donated a single S-300 SAM battery. The Ukrainians actually know how to operate and maintain these things, and have the right calibre ammunition for them.

German arms giant Rheinmetall has volunteered 88 old Leopard 1 tanks and 100 Marder IFVs it has in its stocks.

But most of this stuff is useless, starting with the much-vaunted Javelin missiles which failed to penetrate the latest explosive-reactive armour (ERA) blocks fitted to Russian tanks. Many of the armoured vehicles being donated belong in museums.

The M113 APC is a design from the 1950s that first saw combat in the Vietnam War, where it immediately proved to be a deathtrap. It is a tall, boxy, slab-sided vehicle with armour made from aluminium, not steel. It was so vulnerable to the anti-tank weapons used by the People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) back in the 1960s that US soldiers preferred to ride on the roof than inside it.

The Leopard 1 is another relic of the ‘60s, kind of the tank equivalent of the VW camper van. Its design was based on a prevailing belief that armour had lost the race to shaped-charge anti-tank warheads, so tanks should be made light and fast. Its 70mm-thick frontal armour is no match for modern ATGMs and that can punch through 700mm or more of solid steel.

The armoured Humvees and Mastiffs were used by US and British troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. They are designed only to protect their occupants from rifle and machine-gun fire and home-made roadside bombs during ambushes by lightly-armed guerrillas, not to stand up to tanks.

An IFV is distinct from an APC in mounting heavy armament to support the troops it carries in combat. APCs are just “battle taxis” to get troops close to where the fighting is without taking casualties from random artillery shell fragments and stray machine gun fire on the way, then get back out of range. The Ukraine’s arms industry was already making its own vehicles like the Mastiff until Russian cruise missiles wrecked its factories.

These lightly-armoured vehicles will not prevent many casualties on the Ukrainian side, or cause any to the Russians. The weapons carried by Russian armour and attack helicopters can make mincemeat of them. Photos and videos of the war show Ukraine’s more-sophisticated Russian-made IFVs literally torn apart and incinerated by modern ATGMs or tank gun rounds.

The M777, the US Army’s main field gun, is made in Britain. The huge and legendary US arms industry of Colt, Remington and Winchester nowadays seems incapable of making a simple gun that goes bang reliably.

A Losing Battle

Even if the equipment coming in from the West was any good, there is still clearly not enough of it to keep up with the rate of attrition. The 560 tanks and APCs sent or pledged so far are just a fifth of what Russia claims to have already destroyed, and the 98 extra howitzers are less than a tenth of the artillery Ukraine has lost.

DJ a total derailed "elite" filling their own corrupt pockets...

Even the most optimistic Ukraine enthusiast could only claim during Phase 1 that Russian/Ukrainian attrition was roughly equal (and I still suspect this is wrong). The balance in attrition has shifted dramatically to Russia's advantage in Phase 2.

DJ Another endless war...not that far from where I live...12 hour car ride...Lots of people killed for the interests of a corrupt elite...

in short;

AM comparing present Ukraine war with the Vietnam-war. The west breaking agreements-stopping elections in South Vietnam because Ho Tji Minh would win (DJ Ho Thi Minh in my opinion was a nationalist-becoming a communist later on-to get support. He did ask Wilson in 1919 for US support in de-colonization; Vietnam independence from France...Wilson did not want to speak with him...).

In Vietnam first weapons-then "advisors/instructors" were send-same as now in Ukraine..."boots on the ground" is a next step...

AM also mentioning the west blocking the outcome of Ukraine-Russia talks in Turkey. The west wanted "to weaken Russia" and would supply Ukraine with "loads of weapons"-if Ukraine would be willing to go on fighting...

The result now is hundreds of Ukraine soldiers killed each day...Most of the heavy weapons do not get to any frontline-Ukraine is out of fuel...

Still western "hardliners" push for more war...(DJ, I did expect that kind of insanity both from biden and bojo...In Germany "the green party" does not seem to give a thing about the enviroment-utter stupidity...I find the greens-I had sympathy for them-a total disaster...).

DJ https://twitter.com/GDarkconrad or https://twitter.com/GDarkconrad did see a plane flying from Brussel to Moscow....I think even NATO now may be looking for a way out...

The alternative https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/take-note-they-re-all-laying-the-groundwork-we-are-in-danger or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/take-note-they-re-all-laying-the-groundwork-we-are-in-danger is unacceptable...

AM is correct that the Ukraine war in some ways also is a civil war between "Ukraine nationalists" and post-Soviet ethnic Russians (DJ-and lots of other minorities, Polish, Greek, Jewish...). The internal terror inside Ukraine may signal the weakening position of the Kiev-neo-nazi US puppets...

Relations between (this) west and DJ-the rest of the world-have been severely damaged. A neo-colonial "global NATO" is very unwelcome...but some "leaders"do not understand that...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/buchanan-will-putin-submit-us-imposed-weakening or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/buchanan-will-putin-submit-us-imposed-weakening ;

Will Putin accept a U.S.-induced permanent reduction in Russia’s standing as a great nation? Or would Russia resort to weapons that could avoid that fate and avoid as well the long and debilitating “forever war” some Americans want to impose on his country?

If we are going to bleed Russia into an irreversible strategic decline, is Putin a ruler of the mindset to go quietly into that good night?

Are Putin & Co. bluffing with this implied nuclear threat?

When Georgia invaded South Ossetia in 2008, Putin’s Russian army reacted instantly, ran the Georgians out and stormed into Georgia itself.

When the U.S. helped to overthrow the pro-Russian government in Kyiv in 2014, Russia plunged in and took Crimea, the Sevastopol naval base, and Luhansk and Donetsk.

When Ukraine flirted with joining NATO and Biden refused to rule out the possibility, Putin invaded in February.

When he warns of military action, Putin has some credibility.

And in this talk of using tactical atomic weapons to prevent the defeat, humiliation and diminution of Russia itself, is Vladimir Putin bluffing?

DJ, The west is running out of means for longer-conventional war...Also the biden-goal is not only regime change in Moscow...

I do not have any doubt Russia-Iran-China are in constant dialogue...Other countries, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicarague also will be involved in some ways...

If the "west" wants "total war" it can get one...

Good info from AFP/Swiss source https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/ukraines-army-is-in-very-bad-state-more-fighting-will-only-destroy-it.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/ukraines-army-is-in-very-bad-state-more-fighting-will-only-destroy-it.html ...other sources indicate losses of Ukraine are even higher-for armored cars etc. then Ukraine even had in total when the war started...Meaning western supplies do not last long...A lot of the "fighting" is done by 40+ olds-with hardly any trained military staff...Lots of them die due to shelling...never even had a chance to use a gun...

Some claims go to Ukraine losses close to 30.000 "soldiers". Zelensky and his "gang' already have a UK passport...There is NO control on where the "financial aid" "for Ukraine" ends up...given the high level of corruption it will end up in corrupt politician bank accounts...

DJ-Hal Turner is not "the best source" but https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/canadian-army-lt-general-allegedly-captured-in-mariupol-ukraine or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/canadian-army-lt-general-allegedly-captured-in-mariupol-ukraine ;

Unconfirmed reports, from various sources in Ukraine and Russia, claim that Canadian Forces Lt. General Trevor Cadieu has been captured by Russian Forces in Mariupol.

His capture allegedly occurred while he was attempting to escape the encircled Azovstal steel mill facility, through a sewer pipe.

If this report is confirmed, readers should be aware this guy is no average grunt going on an adventure. He was a Brigadier General and “retired” days before being promoted to the highest role in the Army.

UPDATE 9:43 AM EDT --

Additional unconfirmed CLAIMS have now surfaced which allege Lt. General Trevor Cadieu has been taken to Moscow to stand trial. He was also ALLEGEDLY in charge of Biolab No. 1, where 18 people worked with deadly viruses.

is in line with other claims of "a lot of NATO advisors/instructors/special forces in Ukraine...If he stands trial in Moscow no doubt the Russians will "spread the news"....

Russia's Gazprom has not booked any capacity via the Yamal pipeline for Q3 (July, August, and September).

That translates into a complete shutdown of all Russia gas shipments to Europe just as summer ends and autumn begins.  If this remains the case, Europe would have to rely upon its reserves for October, November, and December - which NOT ONE European country has enough stored natural gas to do!

As it stands right now, many Europeans will freeze to death this coming winter, and much of Europe may not even have electricity because the power plants need natural gas to generate electric.

Clearly someone sees all-out-war on the horizon and are planning accordingly to deal with the enemy.

DJ, We do not have "very cold winters" that often...but economic damage will be very major...

Taiwan has confirmed that US weapons systems slated for delivery have been delayed. It's being widely viewed as directly related to the ongoing war in Ukraine, where Washington has committed an unprecedented amount of resources. An official statement cited a "crowded" production line.

“In response to media reports on the case of the M109A6 self-propelled guns arms sale, the Ministry of National Defense said today that the M109A6 arms purchase [by Taiwan] was crowded out in the production line. The US side informs us that this system will not be delivered to the Republic of China until 2026 at the earliest”, the ministry said in a statement posted to its website.

DJ Yet another indication that "western help for Ukraine" is "eating away" western armies...Poland did send 50% of its tanks to Ukraine...The US is sending lots of anti-tank weapons...DJ Smaller arms may reach the frontlines-in civilian cars. But lack of training often results in those weapons not doing the expected job. However there are indications those anti-tank weapons (rocket propelled granates RPG) are effective against Russian low-flying helicopters...Russian tanks often have an "explosive shield"; A granate is stopped by that when it hits the tank-some tanks were hit four times without major damage...Sometimes also nets are used-granates explode when they hit the net-doing less damage to the vehicle...

The main Russian weapons are artillery and missiles...out of reach of Ukraine/NATO fighters...

Andrei Martyanov just now: #China and #Russia aren't stand shoulder to shoulder. They are standing back to back together. Great quote...

Same goes for Iran, Syria...since most-if not all-the non-western world sees this war as "the west" trying to stay in "global power" countries like India, Indonesia, Philippines-all with relative young colonial history in their minds most likely will "not welcome this further western agression to recolonize the world" (via a global NATO).

For that matter the Ukraine war is only a small segment of a global conflict...and-again-the west is running out of conventional means to fight that war...

The only "tool" left will be the west going for nuclear blackmail...but even that has no chance...

It is a "seller-market" ; not a "buyers-market"...Russia increasing now energy exports to China, India (oil, coal) and even Indonesia (oil-with Indonesia being in OPEC...)

DJ-Europe will run out of energy this summer. French nuclear plants at only 50% capacity. Europe, which has with the exception of the UK remained consistently more reluctant in what it's willing to do - fearing actions like sending tanks will be seen by Moscow as hugely escalatory - is described by commentary featured in the Times as being dragged into a broader conflict:

There is a sense in Europe that "the US is dragging everyone into a different war", said Professor François Heisbourg, a French defense analyst, citing similar comments by Mr Biden about "the butcher of Moscow" and how "Putin must go". Some wonder what Washington is trying to say – or do.

"To help Ukraine prevail is not about waging war against Russia for reasons related to its governance," Prof Heisbourg said. "Regime change may be a vision but not a war aim."

He and others said that such talk from Washington plays perfectly into Mr Putin's narrative that Nato is waging war against Russia, and that Russia is fighting a defensive war for its survival in Ukraine.

Indeed this has been the fear of many American pundits from the beginning - however which rarely get a platform in mainstream media. Instead, the major networks have tended to feature only the most hawkish voices, even as likely the majority of Americans remain fearful of any potential WW3 scenario.

Like an idea of biden getting into the position to start an US-Russia war on basis of an NBC-event in Ukraine may see lots of other countries trying to increase distance from US/UK hardliners...

DJ-A Polish invasion into western Ukraine could even cause a coup by "nationalists" against Zelensky...Some nationalists were against any attacks on the Donbas-would like to see the Donbas as a place to deport ethnic Russians from Ukraine...(I would not be surprised if Russia would give Ukraine intel on those Polish plans...Ukraine fighting Poland-because the west comes up with R2P-must be a dream for Putin, another nightmare for NATO...).

DJ-Again looking at the global picture-the west is losing this global confrontation. Again-for most non-western countries "a global NATO, this Ukraine war" are signs of western neo-colonialism.

Most likely there must be plans on what to do in case of western further escalations. US/NATO-forces moving into Ukraine does main the west will be weaker on other fronts.

Two main targets;

-Western energy/logistics is the western weakspot

-More isolated western allies (Israel, US forces in the middle east) may face "major conflict".

It’s not just Democrats who are for this "Ministry of Truth," it’s also influential Republicans. One said, “This is an important function of the DHS. But they put the absolute wrong person in charge of it.” Rubbish. The problem is the board’s existence, not who’s in charge of it.

Growing unease/unrest in lots of western countries facing inflation going up, a pandemic not over, censorship...Protests (part may 1) in Germany, France, UK...Propaganda may not be that effective...Regime change in Moscow is not high on the list for most western citizens...biden is seen more and more as "biggest disaster"...people do not blame Putin for EU/US sanctions pushing up prices...

DJ it is more then sad to see history repeating itself. AM in short;

-Western promisses of "new weapons" "game changers" made the Zelensky-clan stop any further talks with russia

-Russia may have to give up any illusions on western compromises (DJ-The west wants Russian oil and gas)

-Western "policy" based on its own propaganda...selfdelussion; game changer weapons did not work in South Vietnam, Iraq...(DJ-Germany WW2)

The war to 'weaken Russia' is going badly for the 'west' and the U.S. can do little to change that. The midterm election will likely see a huge loss for the Democrats. They need an emotional issue to incentivize their voters to go to the polls. Abortion rights may do that for a certain group of voters.

But I find it unlikely that it will, over all, be of much help.

"It's the economy, stupid" said James Carville, a strategist for Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential election campaign. Prices are rising, especially for gas and food, while the housing market is suffering from upcoming higher interest rates. The U.S. will, like Europe, likely to go into a recession.

It is also obvious that the Democrats have no real interest in protecting abortion rights. They could have done so when they held the presidency, and majorities in the House and Senate. They never launched a serious attempt to put Roe vs. Wade into federal law. It always suited them better to keep the issue open and to use it during each election for fundraising and to scare their voters to the polls.

DJ, AM mentions nuclear weapons are the only "game changers"...Russia did find a way to limit its own losses while destroying the Ukraine/NATO army...There are rumours of Poland sending in troops...but with lots of infrastructure in western Ukraine destroyed Poland may "think twice". There may be some sort of "International Brigade" ready in Poland, US-led but also there is a limit to what they may be able to do. Most likely Ukraine nationalists do not want Polish forces in parts of Ukraine that once were part of Poland; those Polish forces "may stay longer" then Ukraine wants.

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/kiev-receiving-intel-from-israeli-mossad or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/kiev-receiving-intel-from-israeli-mossad

Ukraine has begun to receive intelligence from the Mossad.

Kyiv claims that the Israeli intelligence service is one of the best in the world and will allow the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to receive more intelligence about the plans of the Russian Armed Forces as part of a special operation in Ukraine.

That Kiev is now boasting this does not bode well for Israeli-Russian relations.

Watch for Israeli jets over Lebanon, attacking Syria, to suddenly suffer being shot down. . . .

DJ; The western idea was that sanctions and western weapons/advisors would "damage" Russia that much there could be some sort of anti-Putin uprising. That idea was wrong.

Sanctions are NOT global-de facto most of them just come from NATO-and may even harm NATO countries more then they harm Russia.

Two options;

A. (Secret) talks between the US and Russia; I think via an indirect third country most likely may take place. The west want to pull out but also claim some sort of succes. But Russia-with Iran, China will make major demands.

B. Very major escalations. The west attacking Russian energy sector inside Russia. Destroy Russia-China pipelines, Russian oil/coal export. However this may worsen the global economy. And the EU still is the major buyer of Russian energy...even the US may not have an alternative for some of Russian exports...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/time-nato-better-take-putins-ukraine-warnings-seriously or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/time-nato-better-take-putins-ukraine-warnings-seriously ; One might hope that NATO leaders would have learned an important lesson from such a costly mistake. However, they are stubbornly ignoring a new set of ominous warnings from Moscow, and this time, the price of such tone-deaf arrogance could be utterly catastrophic. Indeed, it is creating the risk of a nuclear clash between Russia and the United States. In his first speech announcing the "special military operation" in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin warned all outside parties (clearly meaning NATO members) not to interfere. "Anyone who tries to interfere with us . . . must know that Russia’s response will be immediate and will lead you to such consequences as you have never before experienced in your history." [Emphasis added]

-

The policy constitutes an extremely risky venture that could make the United States a belligerent in a perilous war. Moscow has declared on multiple occasions that convoys carrying weapons from NATO countries into Ukraine are legitimate targets of war. Putin could easily interpret the U.S.-orchestrated cascade of NATO weaponry to support Ukraine’s military resistance as unacceptable interference. The same is true of another Biden administration measure – sharing intelligence data with Kyiv, even providing Ukrainian forces with real-time targeting information. In one case, that intelligence sharing apparently enabled Ukraine to shoot down a Russian plane with several hundred troops aboard.

As they did during the prewar period, NATO countries are ignoring the warnings coming out of Moscow. Adopting a defiant stance, they instead are boosting their military aid and creating a full-fledged proxy war against Russia. The Kremlin’s warnings are becoming more strident. Putin himself recently admonished NATO members not to test Russia’s patience by continuing to escalate their support for Ukraine. Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-in chief of both RT and Sputnik and a close associate of the Russian president, stated that Russia might have little choice except to use nuclear weapons if Western policy continues on its current course.

-

In an April 27 Wall Street Journal op-ed, former deputy undersecretary of the Navy Seth Cropsey even emphasized that the United States must be prepared to demonstrate that it would "win" a nuclear war against Russia. Other hawks pressure the Biden administration not to give in to Russia’s "nuclear blackmail." They seem serenely oblivious to the probable consequences if they are wrong. Two analysts even scorned the administration for being excessively fearful of a direct "skirmish" with Russia, as though a clash with a major nuclear power would be the equivalent of a dust-up on a middle school playground. Unfortunately, the policies that Washington is pursuing by pouring arms into Ukraine and creating a proxy war against Russia suggest that administration policymakers may be nearly as clueless as the ultra-hawks outside government to the dangers.

Western officials and members of the foreign policy establishments in the United States and Europe speak openly of helping Ukraine win its war and inflict a humiliating defeat on Russia. What such individuals do not seem to comprehend is that Ukraine is a vital Russian security interest, and the Kremlin will do whatever is necessary – probably even the use of tactical nuclear weapons – to prevent a defeat. The failure to understand just how important Ukraine is to Russia caused Western leaders to disregard Moscow’s warnings over more than a decade against making Kyiv a military ally. For the same reason, they seem to be making an even more dangerous blunder by ignoring Putin’s latest warning about making Ukraine a pawn in a NATO proxy war against Russia. It is imperative to take the new warnings very seriously and back away from a looming war with potentially horrific consequences.

DJ-The bigger picture is "China, Iran, Syria are next"....Like climate change, the pandemic this Ukraine war is a dead-end-street.

So far China did go for an economic war https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/gen-milley-warns-congress-chances-war-russia-or-china-increasing-not-decreasing or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/gen-milley-warns-congress-chances-war-russia-or-china-increasing-not-decreasing but it should be clear most non-western countries fear a "global-NATO" neo-colonialism.

DJ-I expect the "energy war" to further escalate with "accidents" (sabotage) of storage/pipelines/tankers both from Russia-Iran-China and NATO. There is a risk of a "false flag" but the US may think twice about sending in US military fighting Russia...Even with Ukraine pushing for further escalations.

The US idea that Ukraine-2022 "has to like like" Iraq 2003 is wrong ! Russia did not plan to take over all of Ukraine...most likely the outcome of this war will be a destroyed small "Ukraine" with Russia taking over the east and south. (Poland a.o. maybe later on going for their land-grab; after the Ukraine is defeated).

Looking how the west "ended wars" in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria the Ukraine war will become "another frozen conflict" wich stopped EurAsian integration...but did see an Asian cooperation even more bad for western global domination. India, Vietnam, Indonesia buying Russian energy, Saudi Arabia selling oil for Yuan.

My question for the Biden Administration: By indulging in a regime change conspiracy to remove a democratically elected PM of a country of over 220 mn people to bring in a puppet PM, do you think you have lessened or increased anti-American sentiment in Pakistan?

is NOT the "success" the US hoped it will be. The Pakistan elite is going for national interests above US ones...So China is important, TIP-Turkey-Iran-Pakistan cooperation is important. From fertilizers to energy the US does not have a better offer then Asian countries (mainly Russia) have...The Pakistan military elite is split-but could unite on "national interests above foreign ones"...

As AM also mentions; "the west" is facing unrest. France may see a PM that is against NATO expansionism. Germany, UK face major crises. In the US biden "is losing ground"...

The idea of "a long war against Russia"; like sanctions and more weapons, may backfire...

Attacks on Russian energy transports to China may "push China" towards a harder stand.

DJ,

History is "not nice"....I can understand that in the world before WW2 facing a choice on "who to work with" hitler became "Time "man of the year 1938" instead of stalin...There is lots of historical proof of "who funded" the nazi's; and also the "why" has several answers; From royals seeking revenge-via Germany-on the Soviet murderers of the czar. The czar + family was related to a lot of European royals...The "Russian revolution" was november 1917-hitler came to power january 1933 ( in a "democratic way"; a coalition of central/right wing parties. The nazi's never did get a majority of votes in Germany.)

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/on-lavrovs-spat-with-israel-who-is-right.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/on-lavrovs-spat-with-israel-who-is-right.html and YES-like it or not-hitler had a Jewish grandfather...

Western companies often kept working for/in Germany; from IBM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_and_the_Holocaust or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_and_the_Holocaust to General Motors building tanks in Colone..(not being bombed because it was US-company property). Coca Cola ; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanta or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanta ;Fanta originated in Germany as a Coca-Cola substitute in 1940 due to the American trade embargo of Nazi Germany which affected the availability of Coca-Cola ingredients. Fanta soon dominated the German market with three million cans sold in 1943

So-YES...do I have to mention the Bush-family making a lot of nazi-profits ? Nazi's being beaten in 1945-NATO starting in 1949...the same supporters...

Of corse-if I believe I could now say things like this in public- I would be very wrong...The main reason why people do not learn from history is that they do not want to know their history....Lots of rich people in "the west" did get rich via slave-trade just six generations back...War is also a very fast way to make lots of money; just do not have any morals...

So https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOVfiosFWeA or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOVfiosFWeA Alex Christoforou/CF; Pelosi says "WE" are fighting Russia. Overnight missile strikes. Hi, My name is Javelina. Update 1 Topic 527 The Supreme Court is Working for Putin!!!! https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/05/...

some points ;

-US claims of "Ukraine is winning" is based on what Ukraine is claiming

-Ukraine now even sending 15 y/o boys (from the west of Ukraine) up to 60 y/o to "fight Russia" in the Donbas...some indications for mass surrender; lots of Ukraine military now in civilian clothes

-Still pelosi (82) "we" are fighting Russia..

-Biden (79, dementia) "battle of democracy against authoritarianism"-so "we" against Russia, Iran, China...(DJ-Iran may bring in Israel; so far more neutral in the conflict with Russia).

-biden claiming Ukrainians naming their children after an anti-tank weapon will be based on "Ukraine info"...

DJ-AC is correct; we are being dragged into a much wider war-DJ-with mid term elections in november the "democrats" idea is to have won that war before those elections ???

Israel may get its war against Iran-if it supports the US (and NATO "slaves") in the war with Russia. Poland and Romania "may get parts of western Ukraine, Moldova" if they move into Ukraine to fight Russia...

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/worlds-largest-shipper-warns-about-stagflation-and-china-shutdowns or https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/worlds-largest-shipper-warns-about-stagflation-and-china-shutdowns

DJ-biden is a total global disaster....The west following this man must have gone insane....

-The western economy will crash

-The "global south" will need lots of support; food, water, medical...Asia may be able to provide it-but not if "the biden-west" is going for global war...

-Germany not able to send much more weapons to Ukraine-running low. Poland did send 50% (+) of its tank to Ukraine...with western weapon-producers NOT having access to materials needed to make more "better" weapons

-Russia destroying infrastructure in Ukraine to unable transport (DJ-If Poland and Romania go for war-they will see the same. Infrastructure/energy destroyed in the first days of escalation).

The only "biden-option" is to go nuclear...

DJ-The price for the west is going up..."we have not seen even the beginning". Since biden made clear de facto ALL countries not supporting him are enemies the west soon may find out what economic war can bring.

The pentagon may be one of the places in the US that may "limit the insanity"...enough military aware of the need to avoid a nuclear war. It is sad to see "insanity is winning" alternative voices being silenced (paypall no longer cooperating, "social media bans"...next step killing alternative reporters ?)

DJ Zerohedge has some good info; But it is part of a "republican-democratic-fight" often-and I want to keep that far away from me. https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/05/03/the-supreme-court-is-working-for-putin/ or https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/05/03/the-supreme-court-is-working-for-putin/

DJ By pushing Israel in "NATO lines" the west has-again-a growing problem with the Arab world...It is the west that is now not only isolating itself but also destroying itself...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

The Ukrainian State Security Service claims on its official accounts that Ukrainian blogger, journalist & politician Anatoly Shariy has been detained in Spain. He is being accused of "treason" by Ukrainian authorities, his political party was outlawed some time ago

DJ Most likely history may show "fools do a lot of damage to themselves" in conflicts. In W.W.2 some of the German mistakes-in my opinion-were; -invading NL;losing a lot of transportplanes/paratroopres that much it hindered the German invasion plans for the UK-besides that in WW1 NL de facto was more of a "neutral" help for Germany...Also switching from bombing radar/airfields in the "battle of Britain" to targetting cities was stupid...If you go for one strategy-that is working-do not switch...Of course invading Russia while-at the same time being in war with the UK/US meant Germany had no chance...

So now "the west" fighting not only Russia-but also a.o. China, Iran...sanctions for the Orthodox Pope-because he is "to close to Putin"...Is this a battle between "pseudo neo-liberalism"-"the rich 0,1%-and the rest of the world ? Sanctions on a religious orthodox leader are stupid...

AC mentions the EU planning in fact on the 50th wave of anti-Russia sanctions since 2014...DJ-NATO did NOT get Crimea-with Sebastopol the base for the Russian navy since the 18th century...Control over Crimea would leave Russia with only major Navy ports in Murmansk and Wladiwostok...more or less kicking Russian navy out of the Atlantic...

MoD of Russia-Shoigu-warned again NATO supplies for Ukraine nazi's will be destroyed, still the US is now training Azov-nazi's in a barracks in Bavaria. That barracks housed German military prior to WW.1 and WW.2 attacks on Russia...

Ukraine ambassador calling the German PM "a sausage"...and Germany accepts that ?

Russia now also sanctioning Japan. The EU will not allow Russian to buy real estate in the EU-DJ so they now invest in Turkey, UAE a.o.

Kicking Russian tankers out of western insurance only will stimulate a non-western alternative...Modi-India-visited Germany, DK, France and did not give in to western pressure.

DJ-The "west" may not like it but the rest of the world is seeing the Ukraine war as the outcome of western/NATO/US provocation...

Again-fools are selfdestructive...with "leaders"like biden, bojo, vonderleyden, macron you may not need enemies...(the pandemic may be another indication for that).

part 2, "the west"

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/ukraines-forces-are-told-to-hold-the-line-where-russian-artillery-is-pulverizing-them.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/ukraines-forces-are-told-to-hold-the-line-where-russian-artillery-is-pulverizing-them.html ;

As Clausewitz wrote about the Schwerpunkt in 'On War':

[N]o matter what the central feature of the enemy's power may be—the point on which your efforts must converge—the defeat and destruction of his fighting force remains the best way to begin, and in every case will be a very significant feature of the campaign.

Basing our comments on general experience, the acts we consider most important for the defeat of the enemy are the following:

 1. Destruction of his army, if it is at all significant.
 2. Seizure of his capital if it is not only the center of administration but also that of social, professional, and political activity.
 3. Delivery of an effective blow against his principal ally if that ally is more powerful than he.

Accordingly the Russian military is tasked with demilitarizing the Ukraine, Clausewitz' task one, and that is what it is doing.

-

 from yesterday's Christian Science Monitor this:

The Ukrainian artillery team was moving into position in the northern Donbas region, along the front line near Izium. The soldiers did not even have time to orient their guns before they were found by a Russian drone.

The first Russian 152 mm shells – fired by howitzers more than 10 miles away – landed near the Ukrainian guns. As the artillery team ran for safety, its vehicle was hit and set on fire.

The driver, badly wounded, veered straight into bushes as shells rained down. The survivors escaped on foot, across open fields.

-

“When Russia sends incoming 200 shells, we send back 10 shells,” says Sergeant Davydov, who wears sunglasses, a pistol on his thigh, and a skull shoulder patch in the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag.

His job is to take freshly mobilized men to the front “to show them not to be afraid,” and to teach them “how to dig in and make very effective defensive positions” to compensate for the firepower imbalance with Russia.

“I tell them that all they have to do is hold our line, and not retreat,” says Sergeant Davydov. The cost can be high. The sergeant recalls 10 recruits in late April being sent to him one night at 11 p.m. By 6 a.m. two were dead and three wounded by Russian artillery.

"the west" does simply not understand the way Russia is fighting this war...https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/possibility-of-talks-between-zelenskyy-and-putin-halted-after-boris-johnson-visit or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/possibility-of-talks-between-zelenskyy-and-putin-halted-after-boris-johnson-visit ;

Now we have sociopaths who operate out in the open.

The west can keep feeding the masses PR bullcrap but sooner or later they won't be able to hide the fact that their NATO trained army, supplied with the newest gadgets got smoked. And here's where I see it getting really dangerous.

It's been reported that Russia has only used approximately 10% of it's military. Why not roll in with a massive force and all the latest military equipment.

Russia has only fired a few of the new hypersonic missiles.

Russia understands that once the Ukrainian forces are basically destroyed the only way for the west to continue with it's mad quest to destroy Russia is to involve NATO directly into the conflict.

Russia has most of it's forces waiting for the real war which is just around the corner. Question is can it remain conventional weapons and not go to the nuclear threshold?

It's only a matter of time before Russia officially proclaims that NATO has entered the conflict by proxy and is waging war on Russia.

Putin warned them already about it and no one takes him seriously. But then again no one took him seriously when he warned that continual violations of the Minsk Agreements and lack of Western security guarantees would lead to consequences for Ukrainian statehood.

DJ-I think this war is based on the insane idea that "Putin made trump US president in 2016"....pushing for a "global NATO' with US/UK in control...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/watch-psaki-says-biden-will-continue-call-americans-who-do-not-support-him-extremists or https://www.zerohedge.com/political/watch-psaki-says-biden-will-continue-call-americans-who-do-not-support-him-extremistsAfter Joe Biden declared Wednesday that “MAGA is the most extreme political organization” in US history, reporters questioned White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki if Americans should expect that kind of rhetoric to continue, and she said yes.

The west is NOT united ! Some of the dividing lines;

-Cultural-from Poland to the US; there are "orthodox christians/conservatives" to progressive-liberals" basiccally not agreeing on even basic issues. Some groups in the west are "close" to fascism/nazi's-others totally disagree...

-Economic; EU needs Russian oil/gas much more then the US does

-Political; Former colonies now-de facto-turning to Russia, China...India buying Russian oil-very likely soon linked to pipelines both IPI (Iran-India-Pakistan) and from the NW of China also importing gas.

-Financial; The US$ was used as a weapon...but the EU had hopes the € may be kept out of the conflict...maybe even replace the $...now the € may crash because of US choices/debt..

-Geography; Europe is "a peninsula" of Asia...The East of Europe-Asia-Africa turning away from the EU may not be a US/UK problem...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/turkey-natos-pro-putin-ally or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/turkey-natos-pro-putin-ally (DJ-The article itself is "not very clever"-ignoring US support for (PKK) Kurds in Syria, US coups in Turkey...Hungary-another critical NATO/EU member also "must be wrong" for not doing what the US elite is telling...).

DJ-Not only Ukraine is being "grinded", all of the west is taken with it...HT is WRONG ! in claiming this is a European conflict...in fact this global war is the outcome of US political disfunction. The US presidential election system failing THREE TIMES this century. Western democracies-maybe multi-pary system resulting however in one dominant neo-liberal dogmatism...(The German "greens" killed every hope of change...). Russia may be a multi-party dictatorship, China ruled by the CCP (with several fractions in that Chinese Communist Party-it is NOT North Korea for that matter !) are in a crisis...

Politics is being taken over by carreer politicians-busy for a good job-after their political carreer...Maybe France still will bring change when the #2 and #3 in the presidential elections, nationalists and socialists work together to "limit" Macron "neo-liberal globalism"...In the UK the "United" part more and more is a ? https://www.irishtimes.com/news/politics/northern-ireland-election-could-fundamentally-alter-the-political-landscape-1.4869484 or https://www.irishtimes.com/news/politics/northern-ireland-election-could-fundamentally-alter-the-political-landscape-1.4869484 with the EU pushing for unification of (EU member) Ireland and welcoming Scotland...

In many ways this "Ukraine war" is a US/UK war against the EU...

And then there is a growing non-allied group...India does want to go for what is best for India...TIP-Turkey-Iran-Pakistan also tried to "balance", as most of Latin America, Africa...NOT following US sanctions against Russia...Now seeing the US-led west turning against them while Russia is offering energy and food at a bargain for its friends.

The RIC cooperation was the outcome of western stupidity, sanctions pushing Russia, Iran, China closer together...More sanctions may result in BRICS + not only Brazil, South Africa, India but also the Philippines, Indonesia, Nigeria, Argentina turning away from "US domination"...

But the west is "blinded" by its own phantasies...https://www.ipkw.nl/nieuws/make-hydrogen-not-war/ or https://www.ipkw.nl/nieuws/make-hydrogen-not-war/

US Senate committee has passed a bill that could open the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) and its partners, including Russia, to lawsuits for collusion on the rise in crude oil prices.

The No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels (Nopec) bill, sponsored by Republican Chuck Grassley and Democrat Amy Klobuchar, passed 17-4 in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

However, it will need to pass the full Senate and House and be signed by President Joe Biden in order to become law.

The bill would change US antitrust law to revoke the sovereign immunity that has long protected Opec and its national oil companies from lawsuits.

By doing so, the US attorney general would then have the power to sue Opec, its members such as Saudi Arabia or its partners like Russia, in federal court on charges including market manipulation.

"I believe that free and competitive markets are better for consumers than markets controlled by a cartel of state-owned oil companies ... competition is the very basis of our economic system," Klobuchar said in a statement.

both the Euro and US-$ however are in "crisis" ...The US is telling the rest of the world where to buy what and call that "free market"...

There is NO excuse for again the west supporting fascism and nazism....The way the west is NOT stopping climate collapse, health crises, get the poor (countries) even more poor is "democrazy"...

Multiple analysts at Chinese state-linked think tanks and banks have weighed in on the Biden administration's recent threats to punish the world's second-largest economy over China's refusal to condemn Russia's war in Ukraine, and amid US charges that it could be helping Moscow evade sanctions, or even quietly resupplying Putin's military machine (charges which at this point have remained without evidence).

"It is necessary to speed up the construction and external connection of the cross-border yuan clearing system CIPS … [But] the primary choice is to continue to strengthen cooperation with Swift," Wang Yongli, a former vice-president with the Bank of China and a former board member for Swift, was cited as saying in a fresh South China Morning Post report this week.

However, China is taking note and studying its own preparedness and future options in the wake of the US drastic measure of freezing Russia's central bank assets overseas. On this, Yongli underscored to the SCMP that "The huge foreign exchange reserves are hard-won, and they are China’s ‘financial nuclear bombs’ with a powerful deterrent effect. It must be used properly rather than arbitrarily, and cannot be easily slashed."

President Andrzej Duda has announced the common future for Poland and Ukraine, calling it not an occupation, but “the erasure of borders.”

“There will be no more border between our countries — Poland and Ukraine. There will be no such border! So that we live together on this earth, building and rebuilding together our common happiness and common strength, which will allow us to repel any danger or any possible threat,” Duda said.

However, the Polish president did not explain what exactly is meant by the elimination of borders.

DJ, n.pelosi and some other US "politicians/MIC-shareholders" visited Kiev and the Poland recently.

This is huge. If this statement by Medvedev is true—then Russia just signaled that it will accept Polish troops in western Ukraine. If this is true, then it's happening—the dismemberment of Ukraine.

Medvedev: “Western Ukraine will be a welcome acquisition for Poland, which is hungry for the return of its lands.”

is also unclear.  Medvedev trying to get a Polish-Ukraine conflict ?

Why is NATO afraid of fighting Russia? The US depends on airpower to deliver firepower—Russia on artillery. If Russia's air defenses can denigrate or deny US airpower, then the US can't win—in fact they'll be slaughtered. This is what's happening to Zelensky regime forces.

There are (still) no signs for de-escalation. If the US (NATO) would try to get a "no-fly-zone" over Ukraine-again-for Asia the sign US pushing for all out war...

DJ-I think "Ukraine" is a "job" Russia can handle...no need for (military) aid from China, Iran etc. An open US (NATO) attack will see "Asia" react.

-In Ukraine itself;

Report: another company of 79th #Ukrainian Brigade refuses to fight, declaring loss of confidence in the army command, failure of adequate supplies, etc. They say 1/3 is left of their manpower, the rest dead or wounded. Not POWs. Full video here: https://vk.com/timand2037?w=wall404210594_11377

and

UAF reservist (non-Nazi) battalion sent to the front lines in Donbas send out a plea: They were sent as cannon fodder, and are now being treated like deserters because they survived battle...

DJ, With supply-lines broken, shortage of everything (food, water, munition, info) on the frontlines, older men send to die for a corrupt nazi-Kiev-regime, it is very likely the Zelensky-western puppet regime is near collapse. Polish, Romanian forces moving into western Ukraine-not likely to leave-may further destroy Ukraine...The west may need another puppet...

(I have to watch the "Alex"-video's still-discuss it later on...)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRr--tSgTnk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRr--tSgTnk Alex Christoforou AC; Media wants WW3. Boris & Scholz believe Elensky will defeat Putin. Ukraine petrol shortage. Update 1 Topic 529

discussing in part also https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/us-pushes-fake-stories-to-goad-russia-into-escalation.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/us-pushes-fake-stories-to-goad-russia-into-escalation.html

DJ-Basic story; US did not need to provide info to Ukraine. Russia is that weak Ukraine is shooting Russian planes, generals, ships without any major western help. So - if "WE" - move in Russia will be beaten in no time. AC even mentions UK "MoD" Ben Wallace; Ukraine forces can train UK forces because Ukraine is beating Russia...

German "PM" scholz expecting Russia to collapse-via MORE western sanctions and MORE western military help for Ukraine-but "NATO has to avoid open war" with Russia...

AC mentioning reports from Ukraine of shortages of fuel, logistics break down...DJ-Still a 'western political/media elite" keeps pushing Ukraine lies..."with a bit more sanctions' "some more weapons"...fact is Russian inflation is going down. Russia is shifting its exports to Asia...The west is running into economic problems.

Sending more East-Europeans to die in Ukraine is making matters worse...

DJ,

-Eastern Europe not happy with "EU-orders" on their energy deals

-Also EU sanctions on orthodox church are not welcomed-veto

-In Ukraine most of the fighting on land done now by Donbas-militia. Russia providing air/artillery, special forces, intel.

-AM notices a growing political gap between a political elite and the voters-most people do not want this war.

DJ-WION-India also mentioning EU thinking twice on Russian oil-because of western pressure on India because of their-so far-very limited energydeals with Russia.

-Scott Ritter mentioned Finland would be breaking a 1949 treaty with the Soviet Union on neutrality if it would join NATO. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finno-Soviet_Treaty_of_1948 or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finno-Soviet_Treaty_of_1948 ;

The Agreement of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance of 1948, also known as the YYA Treaty from the Finnish Ystävyys-, yhteistyö- ja avunantosopimus (YYA-sopimus) (SwedishVänskaps-, samarbets- och biståndsavtalet (VSB-avtalet)), was the basis for FinnoSoviet relations from 1948 to 1992. It was the main instrument in implementing the Finnish policy called Paasikivi–Kekkonen doctrine.

Under the treaty, which was signed on 6 April 1948, the Soviets sought to deter Western or Allied Powers from attacking the Soviet Union through Finnish territory, and the Finns sought to increase Finland's political independence from the Soviet Union. It thus ensured Finland's survival as a liberal democracy in close proximity to strategic Soviet regions, such as the Kola Peninsula and the old capital Leningrad.

Under the pact, Finland was obliged to resist armed attacks by "Germany or its allies" (in reality interpreted as the United States and allies)[citation needed] against Finland, or against the Soviet Union through Finland. If necessary, Finland was to ask for Soviet military aid to do so. However the pact in itself did not provide any provisions for the Soviet military to enter Finland and stipulated that all such actions would have to be agreed separately should Finland choose to request aid. Furthermore, the pact did not place any requirements for Finland to act should the Soviet Union be attacked (if the attack would not take place through Finland). The agreement also recognized Finland's desire to remain outside great-power conflicts, allowing the country to adopt a policy of neutrality in the Cold War.

-

Despite the official policy, there was some secret co-operation with the West. This ranged from Finnish organizations such as the Social Democratic Party accepting U.S. Central Intelligence Agency funding to sharing of seismic data on nuclear tests. Likewise, Eastern Bloc countries conducted espionage in Finland, e.g., the East German Stasi had agents there.

The Soviet Union had similar agreements with many nations that were not directly allied with it but depended heavily on Soviet support, such as North Korea since 1961, with India since 1971, and Vietnam since 1978. The first such agreement, however, was with Free France in 1943.

The treaty came to an end in 1992 with the signing of a new treaty between Finland and the post-Soviet Russia.[1]

DJ, So is there a legal ground for Finland NOT to become a member of NATO ? It does get mentioned but I would like to see a legal basis for that.

Sweden has no such agreements with Russia. But is neutrality in the Swedish constitution ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_neutrality or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_neutrality

"the west" is pushing for Sweden and Finland to join NATO. The ruling political elite in those Nordic countries do not seem to want a referendum on it...But can Sweden and Finland switch from decades of being most neutral ti-in a few months-become full NATO members states when we are seeing an escalation far worse then during the cold war ?

Is it wisdom ? Is it in the interests of Sweden and Finland ? Would cooperation of Sweden and Finland (maybe also including Norway, Denmark/Greenland and Iceland) but staying out of NATO not be a more clever alternative ?

DJ-Sweden and Finland are well functioning democracies-far from perfect-but democracy never will be 100% perfect. So if those countries would decide on joining NATO one has to respect that. Still NATO also could say "not now"...and still respect the wishes from those two countries...

DJ,

Alexander Mercouris https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szD3jrA-_oE or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szD3jrA-_oE ; As Pressure Increases on Ukrainian Forces in Northern Donbass False Stories Spread News Topic 489

DJ, AM mentioning propaganda as a tool in wars. I agree western media simply copy Ukraine propaganda-and that is bad. But his idea that the media will correct that somehow I find very optimistic....The damage propaganda can do is that some may see the "lies" as a basis for further choices...AM mentioned the BBC (UK-state run media) tried to "scan" Russian obituaries-but their conclusion was Russia may have lost just over 2,000 military...20% officers...(and most likely NO generals-eventhough both Ukraine and the west made such claims).

Yesterday there were Ukraine claims of sinking another Russian ship in the Black Sea-however that ship was in port in Sevastopol-Crimea...

DJ-IF the west is taking Ukraine propaganda as a basis for further action they may be in for a shock...

DJ-AM mentioned the Donbas-militia now doing most of the fighting (Russia providing the "extras"; artillery, airsupport, intel, special forces. No doubt also logistics; fuel, munition, water, food, medical care.) Their losses may be around 1,600 fighters. The UN comes up with 3,300 civilian deaths-most likely with that number they mean civilians in Ukraine-NOT in Donbas-region...

DJ-There are lots of reports now of Ukraine facing very severe losses. With no fuel, logistics destroyed-supplies taking much longer, and a "stand-and-fight" strategy resulting in (pro)Russian fighters encircling the (pro)Ukraine forces in the east of Ukraine.

The west did send-most old-weapons to Ukraine-a mix of them. Often without clear instructions on how to use them...some (Javelins as an example-expired-) simply do not work...Also western instructors often face language problems. Most likely (pro) Ukraine forces now being trained in Poland, Germany (also in France, UK, US ????) may get translators to help getting info over...

Ukraine may have been sending 15-60 y/o to the frontlines-in some area's most of the fighters are at an average of 40 and at best had some military training-some may not even have handled a gun. Transport often in civilian cars, Uniforms are scarce...There are soom claims of around 30,000 (pro) Ukraine fighters being killed...the number of POW's must be in the tens-of-thousends...I did see an AFP story of "untrained soldiers being dumped near a frontline without instructions"...

Scott Ritter mentioned Ukraine losses between 600-1,200 PER DAY !!!!

But propaganda as a basis may bring in the west...

-South Asia; http://thesaker.is/terror-from-balochistan-a-menacing-tool-to-disrupt-sino-pakistani-economics/ or http://thesaker.is/terror-from-balochistan-a-menacing-tool-to-disrupt-sino-pakistani-economics/

A Baloch suicide bombing targeting Chinese workers in Karachi comes a mere month after the US-backed ousting of PM Imran Khan. Pakistan is a critical BRI hub in Beijing’s vast Eurasian connectivity project, and it looks like CPEC is the ultimate target of this disruption.

By Pepe Escobar, posted with the author’s permission and cross-posted with The Cradle

-

Balochistan, geostrategically, is as valuable as rare earth minerals: an immense desert positioned east of Iran, south of Afghanistan, and boasting three Arabian Sea ports, including Gwadar, practically at the mouth of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Comprising nearly 48 percent of Pakistan’s area, Balochistan is rich in uranium and copper, potentially very rich in oil, produces more than one-third of Pakistan’s natural gas, and sparsely populated. The Baloch account for the majority of the population, followed by Pashtuns. Quetta, the large provincial capital, for years was considered Taliban Central by the Pentagon.

Gwadar, the port built by China on the southwestern Balochistan coast of the Arabian Sea – directly across from Oman – is the absolute key node of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and doubles as the essential link in a never-ending pipeline saga. The Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline, previously known as the “peace pipeline,” with plans to cross from Iranian to Pakistani Balochistan (India still has not made up its mind) is absolute anathema to Washington since the George W. Bush era.

-

The anti-China instrumentalization of the BLA also ties in with the regime-change parliament operation in Islamabad that recently deposed former prime minister Imran Khan, who was always a fierce adversary of the American “Forever War” in Afghanistan. Khan resolutely denied Pakistan’s use in “over the horizon” US military ops: that was one of the key reasons for him to be ousted.

Now, with a pliant, Washington-approved, new regime in town, a miracle has just happened: the Pentagon is about to clinch a formal agreement with Islamabad to use Pakistani airspace to – what else – keep interfering in Afghanistan.

Beijing, as well as other members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), won’t be amused. Only weeks before the white coup, Khan had met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and once again underscored how Pakistan and China are “iron brothers.”

DJ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balochistan#/media/File:Major_ethnic_groups_of_Pakistan_in_1980_borders_removed.jpg or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balochistan#/media/File:Major_ethnic_groups_of_Pakistan_in_1980_borders_removed.jpg

The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balochistan_Liberation_Army or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balochistan_Liberation_Army has fallen in the hands of salafists extremists with IS links...Now the US is also going for sanctions against Arab oil states (not boycotting Russia, not increasing oil production-even thinking of oil payments not in US$) those Arab-gulf states may be less willing to provide the funds for Jihadi-terrorism in other Asian countries (from Syria to Indonesia, Philipines, Yemen...).

Often with Turkish help the US-CIA transported IS "proxies" from Syria to Libya, Afghanistan...

Yes-most countries have ties with some "groups"seen as terrorists in other countries. The US was also involved in MEK https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Mojahedin_Organization_of_Iran or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Mojahedin_Organization_of_Iran.. The US is "playing-often even a major-role" in many elections/politics in most countries. China mostly was able to play such a role in Asia...The former Soviet Union was able to get the KGB play a major role...most likely Russia has "its limits". UK-MI6, France DGSE also may play a somewhat global role. I think the US-CIA (and several others) also will be integrated in NATO-and "almost NATO" (Ukraine was one of them, Israel, Sweden, Finland) have their own "intel"working with the CIA.

DJ-I think the CIA-local "contacts" play a major role in media in the west, will not stop at gathering info/blackmail political leaders...There has always been a "hidden dirty war"...supporting chaos to bring in a new leadership...

In WW2 you had the SOE https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Operations_Executive or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Operations_Executive UK, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Strategic_Services or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Strategic_Services US.

Germany, Japan also had their "services". Secret war went from fake British Pounds being spread to have "fake Chruchill's" to hide where "the real Winston was"...After D-day in Europe the Germans managed to spread the news of "false generals running around" so Allied soldiers investigated every general they stopped...The UK did put "fake secret papers"on a dead body landing up in Brittany-convincing the Germans the real Allied invasion would be there (and not in Normandy. The fake-info was part of the reason why Germany did not send tanks to stop the invasion in time. Another part of the story may be hitler was sleeping and no one wanted to wake him up ...).

DJ-Intel, propaganda, dis-information are major parts of the war. Any war-for centuries...you did not need "social media" for that, censorship hardly effected that kind of "intel"...

Maybe the main point I try to make is; most of the conflicts, "fighting" may be hidden...The propaganda "news" is right under our noses...but we do not always know what to believe..."A good spy never get caught, leaves no traces"....So "others" may not know where the info came from...(but the info may still be fake).

https://southfront.org/does-the-west-desire-nuclear-war/ or https://southfront.org/does-the-west-desire-nuclear-war/ DJ-We KNOW Russia has lots of -in part hypersonic-nuclear weapons. As far as I understand some of their missiles may go at 6,000 to maybe even 20,000 kilometer per hour...May be able to reach the US via the South Pole-avoiding NORAD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Aerospace_Defense_Command or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Aerospace_Defense_Command and be that fast maybe laser-speed of light-weapons may have limited chance...

DJ-We have to get out of this global conflict. Lots of higher military/intel people are aware of the very real risks...We need de-escalation NOW !!!

DJ,

Gonzalo Lira (GL)  Alex Christoforou (AC) can no longer hide their cynism...with hundreds of billions of $ (stolen payments for Russian energy, tax payer money) and many trainloads of weapons there is a lot of money to be made...GL claims 1/3 to 1/2 of the "weapons for Ukraine" end up on the international black market...Money for "Ukraine reconstruction" no doubt ending up in "party sponsor pockets"...yachts going to EU/US oligarchs...

DJ-biden may try to "claim a victory" for his "democrats" to still have some chance with the mid-term november US elections..."A will to compromize may see a neutral Ukraine" or something like that....Ukraine destroyed and forced-by the west-to accept Russian conditions that are worse then Russia demanded prior to the war...But "still brought to you as a show of biden's wisdom and leadership"...

DJ-Western democracies have become corrupt democrazies...A club of spoiled upper-class carreer politicians on their way to better paying jobs...A "vision" is only in the way of further carreer plans...Money the only expression of "succes"....

Again-the American revolution was in 1776, the French revolution in 1789....the west needs to improve their democracies-WE-the citizens-will have to do that job...otherwise we will end up in a dictatorship that we claim to be fighting in Russia, Iran, China...

Internet works both ways...you can get a lot of info...but states can get a lot of info on you...I remember a former East German activist stating western democracies have more info on their citizens the stasi ever had on East Germans in the GDR...And it is what you do with that info....in many ways internet means totalitarianism...if not by companies then by state-in the west it may be both...

DJ-Will there be a "global nuclear war" as https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-uk-prime-minister-boris-johnson-military-aid-to-ukraine-is-no-longer-enough-to-defend-it or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-uk-prime-minister-boris-johnson-military-aid-to-ukraine-is-no-longer-enough-to-defend-it is expecting ?

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-megalopolis-x-russia-total-war or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-megalopolis-x-russia-total-war

So yes, this is Totalen Krieg, Total War – as Glazyev spells it out with no attenuation, and how Russia denounced it this week at the UN: “Russia needs to stand up to the United States and NATO in its confrontation, bringing it to its logical conclusion, so as not to be torn between them and China, which is irrevocably becoming the leader of the world economy.”

History may eventually register, 77 years after the end of WWII, that neocon/neoliberalcon psychos in Washington silos instigating an inter-Slavic war by ordering Kiev to launch a blitzkrieg against Donbass was the spark that led to the Fall of the U.S. Empire.

DJ From Hal Turner;

I spoke to a US military contact Sunday afternoon and he told me directly:

"Russia has a very large and effective fleet of nuclear submarines that lie off the coast of the U.S. They have a great number of nuclear-tipped missiles that can evade any defenses we have.

and it is not only Russia the west is in conflict with...Iran, China, North Korea, Syria are top of the list....

With (N)OPEC turning away from the west, Africa, Latin America as good as gone-again-the west did destroy itself...DJ-I think there may not be a need to "go nuclear"; the rest of the world may even allow the west to "claim a (last) victory"...

Russia, based on purchasing power parity (PPP), is the 6th economy in the world, right behind Germany and ahead of both the UK and France. Its “hard” economy is similar to the U.S. Steel production may be about the same, but intellectual capacity is vastly superior. Russia has roughly the same number of engineers as the U.S., but they are much better educated.

The Mossad attributes Israel’s economic miracle in creating an equivalent of Silicon Valley to a base of a million Russian immigrants. This Israeli Silicon Valley happens to be a key asset of the American MICIMATT (military-industrial-congressional-intelligence-media-academia-think tank complex), as indelibly named by Ray McGovern.

NATOstan media hysterically barking that Russia’s GDP is the size of Texas is nonsense. PPP is what really counts; that and Russia’s superior engineers is why their hypersonic weapons are at least two or three generations ahead of the U.S. Just ask the indispensable Andrei Martyanov.

The Empire of Lies has no defensive missiles worthy of the name, and no equivalents to Mr. Zircon and Mr. Sarmat. The NATOstan sphere simply cannot win a war, any war against Russia for this reason alone.

DJ, Soon most-if not all-energy deals will be done not in US$ or Euro's but in -most-Asian currencies. The US may have a large arsenal of nuclear weapons it may simply not be able to use...

I expect if there are more conflicts the "Asian strategy" will be to keep those conflicts limited and short...

Maybe a bit "western style picture" Vladimir is pointing a gun at "joe" -he still has his gun at his hip and his hand is shaking....If "joe" (or one of his few friends) "start something" Vlad may pull the trigger...

"We" did lose the fight...should have avoided that fight...Retirement can be a friendly process, now we are being kicked out because we can not accept the idea another generation is taking over...Damage control is all there is left...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ,

One of the questions I have is are we in this US-Russia war to "hide" the pandemic is out of control ? Of course-a US elite is making billions out of war...So for them-often combining high political functions with having shares in the Military Industrial Complex (MIC)-'war=profit"....Again it may also be a weak spot; corruption means that Russia may be able to produce weapons at the cost of only 5-10% of what US weapons cost...That is why https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purchasing_power_parity or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purchasing_power_parity is that important...

Based on PPP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)#Table or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)#Table China is global economy #1, India #3, Russia #6, Indonesia #7, Brazil #9...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capita#Table or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capita#Table gives a perspective at an individual level...US at #13, China at #97...

-It is incorrect to focus only on the Ukraine-war. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China%E2%80%93Pakistan_Economic_Corridor or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China%E2%80%93Pakistan_Economic_Corridor is under attack ...

I want to thank all the people at our Abbotabad jalsa for their passion & awareness about the foreign conspiracy of regime change against Pakistan's democratically elected govt and the crooked stooges who have been installed. #امپورٹڈ__حکومت__نامنظور

DJ, The US via bribes-kicked out the elected PM Imran Khan, via support for Baluchi-IS linked groups the US is attacking Chinese workers in Pakistan. Pakistan is the main link for China new silk road...and the US is fighting China in Pakistan. https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202204/1260624.shtml or https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202204/1260624.shtml ;

Cooperation with China boosts the economy of Pakistan, but religious extremism and national separatism have led to the fragmentation of political and economic interests. With the influence of Western media reports, some Pakistani forces hold radical views toward China-Pakistan cooperation, leaving the security of Chinese projects and personnel in peril.

China and Pakistan should join hands to enhance security cooperation. Pakistan must undertake forceful measures to ensure the security of Chinese investments and citizens in the country and fill in the loopholes of its current security measures.

Liu said that the 15,000 military personnel of the Special Security Division are deployed to provide security to CPEC-related projects, but the Confucius Institute, the target of the latest attack, was not within its scope.

DJ China did invest in pipelines, (rail)roads etc. to link China with the Indian Ocean https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China%E2%80%93Pakistan_relations or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China%E2%80%93Pakistan_relations ; Formal relations were established in 1950 when the Dominion of Pakistan was among the first countries to end official diplomatic relations with the Republic of China (Taiwan) and recognize the People's Republic of China (PRC) government on Mainland China. Since then, both countries have placed considerable importance on the maintenance of a special relationship[1][2] and the two countries have regularly exchanged high-level visits resulting in a variety of agreements. The PRC has provided economic, military, and technical assistance to Pakistan, and each country considers the other a close strategic ally.[3][4]

The US is trying to break up China-Pakistan and Russia-India decades old good relations...in-what most will see-as a new wave of colonialism with a "global NATO" enforcing US rule...

DJ-RIC; Russia-Iran-China is THE superpower at the moment...Russia can deal with Ukraine-even with NATO involved https://www.zerohedge.com/military/pentagon-give-ukraine-high-precision-laser-guided-rockets or https://www.zerohedge.com/military/pentagon-give-ukraine-high-precision-laser-guided-rockets  without major help from Iran or China...

DJ, There are some claims Russia may be pulling out some of its military from Syria-giving Iran more room...https://www.debka.com/moscows-doomsday-plane-in-may-9-parade-raises-nuclear-threat-over-ukraine-war-ties-with-israel-plummet/ or https://www.debka.com/moscows-doomsday-plane-in-may-9-parade-raises-nuclear-threat-over-ukraine-war-ties-with-israel-plummet/

Israel is a "non-NATO NATO member" with a US military base (radar, communications) and in many ways integrated in the NATO defense system. Ukraine was in the same position...

The US has been supporting all kinds of "moderate terrorists" providing them a.o. with weapons https://southfront.org/chechen-fighters-show-their-trophies-thank-biden/ or https://southfront.org/chechen-fighters-show-their-trophies-thank-biden/ ...history shows that a lot of those weapons end up in places the US (or any other country) did not want it to end up...

In Germany-in a glimmer of realism-some realized that both training Ukraine "military" and providing them with weapons is making Germany a "party in the conflict"...

The Russian Ambassador to Poland was at a ceremony to lay flowers at the Cemetery of Soviet Soldiers who died fighting Nazis in World War 2.  He was doused with red liquid (paint?) by protesters to the Ukraine Special Military Operation.

HT REMARK: Poland: No class.  Absolutely no class at all.

There is a time and a place for everything.   Laying flowers at the tomb of dead soldiers is NOT the time or the place to do something as ugly as was done to the Ambassador.  This was a despicable act, by people who have no class.  No class at all.

DJ; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unthinkable or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unthinkable

Operation Unthinkable was the name given to two related possible future war plans by the British Chiefs of Staff against the Soviet Union in 1945. The plans were never approved nor implemented. The creation of the plans was ordered by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in May 1945 and developed by the British Armed Forces' Joint Planning Staff in May 1945 at the end of World War II in Europe.[1]

One plan assumed a surprise attack on the Soviet forces stationed in Germany to "impose the will of the Western Allies" on the Soviets. "The will" was qualified as "a square deal for Poland",[2] which probably meant enforcing the recently signed Yalta Agreement. The planners decided that without massive American help Britain would probably fail. The assessment, signed by the Chief of Army Staff on 9 June 1945, concluded: "It would be beyond our power to win a quick but limited success and we would be committed to a protracted war against heavy odds."[3][not specific enough to verify] The code name was now reused instead for a second plan, which was a defensive scenario in which the British were to defend against a Soviet drive towards the North Sea and the Atlantic following the withdrawal of the American forces from the Continent. At no time was either plan shared with the United States or anyone else.[citation needed] When the Labour Party came to power in the 1945 general election, it ignored the draft plan.

The study became the first Cold War-era contingency plan for war with the Soviet Union.[4] Both plans were highly secret and were not made public until 1998[5] – although a British spy for the Soviets, Guy Burgess, had passed on some details at the time.[6]

NATO was formed in 1949...The west supported hitler in the years before the war...in many ways even fighting communism in occupied Europe by the west providing Germany with info on communist resistance...resulting in the dead of most likely tens-of-thousends...NATO and nazi's are very related...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpol#History or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpol#History was under nazi-control for much to long...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Condor or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Condor in many ways was a continuation of the "fight against communism" via terror and support for fascism...

Even with Russia now-under Putin-with a right wing government the western anti-Russia war goes on...Some claim the "cold war" between the US and Russia started in the 19th century; US moving west, Russia moving east...selling Alaska to the US is part of the US-Russia conflict...

part 2,

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/ukraine-putin-on-why-the-war-started-failed-attempts-on-snake-island-other-issues-.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/05/ukraine-putin-on-why-the-war-started-failed-attempts-on-snake-island-other-issues-.html ;

It is Victory Day. As Ernest Hemingway said:

Anyone who loves freedom owes such a debt to the Red Army that it can never be repaid.

The most important part of Vladimir Putin's speech to the Victory Parade on the Red Square is the narrative that explains how the current war in Ukraine began. Putin is correct in seeing this as a NATO proxy war against Russia:

[D]espite all controversies in international relations, Russia has always advocated the establishment of an equal and indivisible security system which is critically needed for the entire international community.

Last December we proposed signing a treaty on security guarantees. Russia urged the West to hold an honest dialogue in search for meaningful and compromising solutions, and to take account of each other’s interests. All in vain. NATO countries did not want to heed us, which means they had totally different plans. And we saw it.

Another punitive operation in Donbass, an invasion of our historic lands, including Crimea, was openly in the making. Kiev declared that it could attain nuclear weapons. The NATO bloc launched an active military build-up on the territories adjacent to us.

Thus, an absolutely unacceptable threat to us was steadily being created right on our borders. There was every indication that a clash with neo-Nazis and Banderites backed by the United States and their minions was unavoidable.

Let me repeat, we saw the military infrastructure being built up, hundreds of foreign advisors starting work, and regular supplies of cutting-edge weaponry being delivered from NATO countries. The threat grew every day.

Russia launched a pre-emptive strike at the aggression. It was a forced, timely and the only correct decision. A decision by a sovereign, strong and independent country.

The use of 'pre-emptive strike' is somewhat misleading. In fact the Ukraine started the war on Wednesday, February 16 2022, when its forces near the Donbas republics began preparatory artillery strikes for an all out ground attack on the Donbas republics.

DJ; Ukraine defenses are at breaking point in the east of Ukraine. But what is next ? It was never the Russian plan to take over ALL of Ukraine but as long as the west (US, UK) keep pushing for more war-an alternative may not be that easy.

There are lots of stories on Poland-Romania taking over "old" parts of western Ukraine...but DJ-I doubt Russia will accept that-since that still means NATO moving east...Also Ukraine nationalists may not accept such an idea...

The outcome of the present western "strategy" is "Ukraine fighting till the last Ukraine fighter" with-for now-limited room for more western "support" then sending in weapons. Zelensky may repeat a call for a "no-fly zone" but the west is limited in what it can do-certainly hypersonic missiles may not be something the west-for now-can mean much...

Also-with west-to-est infrastructure in Ukraine being destroyed; eeven if Ukraine would allow western troops to the frontlines there are "limits"...Ukraine is a very large country and the distances do matter...

So-Putin again looking at the history of Russia as the "motherland for many nations"...So far it was the Communist Party (former CPSU) that was calling for a "new Soviet Union"...Putin his "United Russia" was more Russian orientated...but the west keeping the Ukraine war going-sending in more weapons and telling Zelensky not to go for talks...(paying him very well, Zelensky and the Ukraine puppets have UK (etc) passports...they can get out...) could mean Russia may go for restoration of a multi-national Russia...

Another Belarus-coup could also be limited in such a strategy...However there may be other forms of creating better safety conditions against NATO moving east...

DJ-China does take World War Two very serious as well. The Japanese occupation and terror killed tens of millions Chineese, Koreans etc. With a "global NATO" including Japan China and Russia may seek further military cooperation. Other countries may have their own interests as well...

How Russia is dealing with Ukraine is interesting for China on how to deal with Taiwan (that does see itself as representing all of China...not just as the island-state.). India, Pakistan (and China) also face the Kashmir question...Baluchistan, Kurds may be other stories in need of a solution...to keep the US-using those "questions" for its own goals...

DJ-I think most of Asia is well aware that "Asian cooperation" is needed to bring that continent-with over 50% of the global population-forward.

Also by now most Asian countries do not see "the west" as very constructive...so it is time to make up their minds. "United we stand-divided we fall"....

-Another question is why Russia keeps selling goods to the west-as far as that trade is not sanctioned...DJ-Answer in part is they welcome still western currencies and are working at improving infrastructure to sell more on the Asian markets....Once a new pipeline for gas to China is ready the EU may see gas supplies from Russia being decreased...Asian countries are replacing the west but often are not ready yet...But also domestic use of goods-so far exported-is increasing. Oil can be made into diesel, kerosine etc. also in Russia itself...

Again, EU sanctions on Russian energy may be far worse for the EU....The outcome of the economic war is weakening both the Euro and US$...

-The longer term is the big question. DJ-I do not expect "the west" to stay united...Asia is the big consumer market and for now is more and more becoming anti-western...

If inflation and shortages kick in, Ukraine is collapsing, western "leaders" have to have answers for how they did deal with this crisis...

The pandemic, climate collapse are both getting worse...so better have good answers...

DJ,

The only war the 'west" may have some success in is the propaganda war....However also there-on the longer run-the west did put itself in an impossible position. The idea "we" the citizens of "the west" would blame "Putin" (because the idea is "Putin" is "evil" -the western goal is liberation of Russian oil and gas) for western sanctions is "not that workable"...

https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/eu-gas-futures-jump-ukraines-grid-operator-halt-flows-key-entry-point or https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/eu-gas-futures-jump-ukraines-grid-operator-halt-flows-key-entry-point , https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-urgent-ukraine-shuts-off-all-european-natural-gas or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-urgent-ukraine-shuts-off-all-european-natural-gas

This is a gigantic development for Europe, and very bad, too.

Could Ukraine being twisting European arms for more money and more weapons?   Could Ukraine actually be blackmailing Europe, maybe withholding gas flows until Ukraine gets the money and weapons they want?  Only time will tell.

DJ, The EU was thinking of "an oil boycott" so a reduction of Russian gas-without any short term replacements will hurt the EU. And I do not think a lot of people are willing to blame Putin for it...Russia may be willing to look for "other pipelines" (Northstream-2 ?)...however the EU may close that door...

-IF NATO countries send in the military to fight/kill Russians in Ukraine/get killed by the Russians...there may be other frontlines https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/china-accelerates-nuclear-buildup-military-modernization-biden-speeding-us-defeat or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/china-accelerates-nuclear-buildup-military-modernization-biden-speeding-us-defeat  more WION https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukxE99DqP_k or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukxE99DqP_k India, China training for invasion of Taiwan. The PLA has carried out another round of drills near Taiwan. Chinese warships and planes surrounded the island. They conducted a partial rehearsal of "a possible reunification-by-force operation". Is China preparing to invade Taiwan? Palki Sharma tells you more.

DJ, Lots of events in south and east Asia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Marcos jr. elected, South Korea's new PM, Pakistan crisis not over...Keeping an eye on that story is another job...maybe the main point however is ; Asia as a US-China battleground. With China "in the hearth" of Asia. The US-seen by many-as a new colonizer...however China could end up as "colonizer" as well.

TIP, Turkey-Iran-Pakistan cooperation was a way to escape from the China-US confrontation. YES-there is "close cooperation" between Russia and China however some countries now-trying to stay out of the US-China conflict (and with the EU putting itself much to close to the US) could seek more cooperation with Russia...A.o. Indonesia has had good relations with Russia most of the time-so has India.

It looks like the US has made changes in the way they see East Asia. The US may go for Taiwan as an independent state-ending the "One China policy" started under Nixon 1972. Worse; the US may support Japan on claims of islands under Russian control since 1945.

Finland joining NATO would break a Finland-Russian neutrality agreement from 1948 (or 1949).

A "global NATO"  with Australia and Japan may not be welcomed in East Asia...Korea is united in their hate against Japan. Japan never apologized for the mass murder of millions of Koreans, Chinese, Indonesians, Philippines etc. and using them as slaves till august 1945. So increasing (and weaponizing) US-Japan cooperation may "send the wrong signal"...

-https://www.debka.com/mivzak/russian-forces-abandon-syrian-bases-ready-to-fly-to-ukraine/ or https://www.debka.com/mivzak/russian-forces-abandon-syrian-bases-ready-to-fly-to-ukraine/ ; Russian units deployed to Syria are assembling at the air bases of  Hmeimim, Qamishli, Deir e-Zor and T4, ready for some to transfer to the Ukraine warfront. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the Russians are handing over key bases to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Hizballah.

https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/05/02/681382/Prospect-of-Iran-Saudi-ties--promising-signs-amid-fading-US-influence-in-region- or https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/05/02/681382/Prospect-of-Iran-Saudi-ties--promising-signs-amid-fading-US-influence-in-region-  DJ; There is a powerstruggle in the Middle East. Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt as major players.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/5/11/shireen-abu-akleh-israeli-forces-kill-al-jazeera-journalist or https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/5/11/shireen-abu-akleh-israeli-forces-kill-al-jazeera-journalist Israel murdering journalists does not improve Israel-Arab relations.

Turkey has major economic problems-may have a major job balancing relations with both Russia and Ukraine in the north. In the east Turkey and Iran may agree at some points (Kurds) however Turkey does not want Iran to get to strong...Erdogan may meet Assad of Syria (an Arab country) in another balancing act. Once there was Turkish-Israel cooperation...but those days seem to be far away...With Saudi Arabia Turkey is in a religious competition. DJ-One reason why KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) may be shifting from the west may be most Muslims do not see the US as a country that respectss Islam...(another reason is the main markets for oil are in Asia...).

-The west is NOT united. The harder some "leaders" claim unity the more likely it seems that unity is missing...DJ-Again I am NOT pro-Putin !!! I am pro-west...and it hurts me to see western "leaders" are destroying that west...The US WAS (!!!) the #1 in economy, military...present policies speed up the fall, diplomacy would have slowed the proces-maybe even stopped it...

If 'the west" wants to stay in a dominating position it would need to respect Asia...try to understand the many "faces" of Asia...But the "west" is slapping Asia in the face, going for insults...blinded by a pseudo-religious idea of "exceptionalism"...Being the global bully has become damaging for the west..

-Nuclear War....With many countries having nuclear weapons-all but one-in EurAsia and EurAsia in a process of high speed changes risk for nuclear weapon use does increase.

Israel against Iran maybe top of the list...North Korea against Japan/US next...Pakistan-India-China have a border conflict-nuclear weapons-but my impression is they are not that likely to use them against each other because it would destroy their own country as well.

Which brings up "tactical-battle field" nuclear weapons and "strategic-long distance" nuclear weapons. US and Russia-by far the biggest stockpiles of those kinds of weapons. A "first strike"-and survival-idea...Russia destroying the US-France, UK, Israel not reacting out of fear for destruction...However the US has a lot of nuclear weapons in submarines and US bases outside the US...

The other way round-US destroying Russian nuclear capacity may be "a bad idea"...even if the US also would go for North Korea...

DJ-A US nuclear attack to "stay #1" and destroy competition may be the "most likely" nuclear scenario...still it would destroy the planet. Even if US/NATO defenses would unable a nuclear counter attack "Asia in flames" would be the end...However US neo-con's may see that differently, denying climate change, pandemics...

The biggest risk for nuclear war-in my view-comes from the US. Hope we will not have to see this kind of MADness...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
