NYC deciding on Shelter In Place

   I've been expecting this to happen soon after NYC shut down schools.  A decision should be coming in the next 48 hours.  Personally, I think it's 48 hours warning.  Glad I got a food delivery slot tomorrow.

	Seems like Cuomo and de Blasio do not get along. Cuomo says it is his right to tell NCY to SIP not deBlasio...so I don't know who will win out. Cuomo says he does not want to close NYC.

	There's a tremendous disconnect between deBlasio and Cuomo. Cuomo ultimately had to pull the plug on schools and gave 24 hours for deBlasio to figure out the logistics of childcare for emergency and healthcare workers and meal grab bag programs for eligible children. But I get an indication that Cuomo isn't getting cooperation from NJ and CT about a few things. Yesterday he (and deBlasio) clearly stated that NYC quarantine was on the table. Today, Cuomo says it is not. I suspect because the states can't agree on highway and interstate restrictions to keep people in place. He said this isn't China... we can ask, but people don't have to comply. So to further reduce .. he has now ordered all businesses in the state to reduce their work-force by 50%. Of course healthcare, emergency and other essential services are exempt, but so are grocery stores and food wholesalers. I'm not defending deBlasio or Cuomo. At some point, we have to quarantine. If that doesn't happen that curve...wave.. whatever is going to crash down on our already stressed hospitals. I don't mind telling you that before this I was stressed but I wasn't frightened. Now I feel a bit of fear. Oh... and did I mention a cluster has developed in a section next to my little corner of Brooklyn? NY isnt' breaking numbers down anymore, but nothing stays secret around here for very long. The reporting site has changed so I can't even find the totals for each borough anymore.

	Yes. But The Comfort is presently docked in Maryland for repairs. Hopefully it will soon be on the way to New York Harbor. The Mercy is on its way to California.

	We are in a shelter in place mode here in Salinas Ca. Everything is closed and I am bored to tears. i just pray that this shelter in place mode will not go on for months. I am sure that a lot of people out there are having trouble coping with all of the hoarding people in the grocery stores Come on folks who needs 50 rolls of toilet paper at a time?? kmjog
