My sister sent me this opinion from a Nebraskan Poster.
This is eye opening. We must all prepare, this is real.
Avian Flu Talk will help answer your questions and help you prepare.
The following are not my words. I agree what has been countered. Bad things are going to happen with the arrival of the Pandemic Flu. We must be prepared.

"The Infrastructure *must* survive, because we want it to.
The CFR *must* be low, because we want it to be.
The economy must continue to function, because we cannot envision it otherwise.
NYC must continue to get supplies
because we cannot conceive the horror of it being otherwise.

In short, the pandemic must be cope-able
because we don't like the idea that for a while that it might not be able to be coped with.

Disliking the inconceivable and pronouncing it impossible with the strength of mere *assertion* will not, imho, change [
B]the possible reality of it's occurrence.

Should it not, all well and good.

But stating that it can not, will not,
that lights *have* to stay on,
or food *has* to be stocked,
just because we will be in it deep if they do not,
is not a rationale assessment of all the possibilities.
Stating that a community *has* to cope does not mean that it will cope well.

It is a documented fact that 1000's of people during WWII,
literally walked to their deaths, without the slightest resistance,
because they simply *could not believe* in what was going to happen to them,
so far out of their expectations of what *could* happen was the real truth of their situation.

Only time will tell if this is occurring again."

So many folks are in denial that anything this bad could happen.
Simply wishing away danger or ignoring potential bad events will not stop the Pandemic Flu.
I don't want to be the one wishing I had prepared.
I read Avian Flu Talk and learn something new on how to prepare, what to purchase, how to store supplies, what to do if????
What are you referring to in your comment?
