Back during the initial bird flu scare in 2005, similar to the swine flu scare in the 70's, i used to have plenty of tamiflu on hand and it was at the top of the prep list. At this point, I'll be lucky if I have a bottle of Advil in my home right now. Anyone thinking about buying some antivirals or tamiflu? |

I thought you had to have a Dr. Script. If I can get them on the net please send me a private message if you don't want it advertised. I have 2 Tamiflu that are most likely out of date but will use if I don't have fresh ones. |

Hasn't Tamiflu been pretty much characterized as useless by independent reviews of Roche's published trial data? And who knows what the substantial unpublished data say? Why would anyone buy it? ------------- Alfred O Brouillet |

I know this will probably start a firestorm, but it seems that we may need to look into Tamiflu's usefulness as an effective antiviral. What I'm reading on the internet is making me wonder whether I want to spend money on doses for my family. Google it and you might be surprised what you find. Hopefully the IV antiviral they're fast tracking in China holds some promise because I have serious doubts about Tamiflu after just a few hours on the internet. ------------- "Buy it cheap. Tamiflu is an antiviral compound isolated from the Star Anise plant. It is very effective if you take it BEFORE being exposed to H5N1 but almost worthless AFTER you are already infected. As far as I know, it has not been tested against H7N1, H7N9, MERS etc. Of course all of those would have to mutate to become person to person contagious to cause the next pandemic so whatever it is it would be "new." That means one needs to be prepared for whatever pops out. You want to stockpile are anti-viral compounds. Things like Vitamin D (have enough for 25,000 IUs/person/day), echinacea, black licorice (the REAL stuff - most is artificial), maybe Vitamin C with zinc, etc. Probably the most effective thing you can get is colloidal silver but caveat emptor there. Most of the stuff sold is junk. If whatever CS you are looking to buy doesn't list and the company can't document particle size, don't buy it.
