I tried to put a link to another forum discussing flu since 2006 and I was blocked in even editing my message, got a warning that I would be banned. Why is that ? I am trying to inform and stay informed over flu-issues. If there is major news on other sites sometimes I can put a link (like youtube) sometimes it seems to be a form of high-treason and I 'm almost banned ! That is not the way this forum, discussing threats for humanity, in these days should be functioning ! In my opinion the goal of this forum is what I try to do here. Why those blockades ?

You can post links to YouTube or any site, other than one or two forums out there that refuse to post our link. If you go the forum you're referring to and post a link here for a good news site, it will also be removed rather quickly. It has to do with our non-working relationship with the other forum you're referring to. There are only mine to two sites blocked. And the reason dates back nearly a decade and is a long story.

I agree that in an ideal world we'd all be working together, but try going to one of the other forums, mention you're from AFT, and see what kind of welcome you get. They wouldn't tolerate links to AFT for a second. I have an inherent distrust of sites where members give themselves grand titles and beat up on newbies (ask me how I know about that one). I had a very cordial exchange of e-mails with one blogger until I mentioned AFT, and I could never get a reply after that. Pandemic flu sites do not play well together, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.

Also, you can normally find the source they are quoting from and post that!

Exactly Thumbs Up

Our role is to find relevant information and repost it here, and the other sites are only doing the same. Just go back to the source article for your link and you'll be fine.
