" A Canary Wharf Group statement said, "We have no evidence to suggest that it is related to the coronavirus. "There has not yet been a confirmed case of coronavirus in the Canary Wharf area. "However, we are monitoring the situation carefully and taking precautionary measures where possible, for example, we have placed additional hand sanitizers in our public spaces and shopping centers." The images are likely to heighten fears in the capital, with some London Canary Wharf offices closing on Wednesday while an employee awaits test results for the virus. More than 300 personnel from the US oil company Chevron have been sent home after an employee reported flu symptoms when he returned from a country with a coronavirus. Merchants, exploration and refining staff were assigned to work from home until the test results determined whether the employee had the virus.
