I don't usually post too much here.

But after the news conference, (not because of what trump said) but seriously because of what was done, what was unleashed, (not the national emergency)....but rather everything else that was unleashed............

The message was that we were unleashing, setting loose, he juggernaut that IS capitalism...free markets, and the spirit of America.

I have no reservations now that we will prevail, and emerge as a leader once again....much pain will be suffered before we exit the danger, but America will prevail because we are strong, and those who question our resolve, and capacity to overcome are seriously misguided.

When free market is allowed to reign, when business is called upon to protect America.....when America rises to the call,....and today it answered the call.

I cried today, after seeing the free market bushiness step up, and join the fight.

Truly they are trying to do a valiant thing.  It will still be too late for some is the sad thing.

It will always be too late for the first that die just a fact.  I agree the big companies stood up to help the American People and we will remember that they did that always.  We all need to stand up back our country in this time of need and coming deaths.

What bit of news are you referring to? Can you post a link to an article about this. Thanks.

As soon as I saw we were enlisting the Private sector, Walmart, CVS, Target, Walgreens as locations for testing The light bulb went off......I hope everyone saw it.

In every other country, the "Government" is the sole entity involved in testing, and reaching the people..........In America, they are going into a partnership with the private sector, testing, lab work etc: .......That is a fundamental shift, and will open the floodgates.....it will be super easy for people to get tests, for the latter stores are in every community in America, and actually more ubiquitous than county health departments.

I think it's a clever move to use stores that people are familiar with and feel comfortable going to. Everyone feels a bit nervous going to the doctors or the dentists, so to bring the tests out into the community will encourage more people to go along and will also free up the doctors to do other things, and also help keep the surgeries free from infections because normal medical conditions will still happen and people don't want to risk picking up covid 19 when they've gone to their doctors for an ingrowing toenail.

Please keep us informed on how they're working out. I wonder if they'll be huge queues of people there?

Colorado had one of the first drive thru test area.  Had to shut it down too big of a traffic jam and those people had to have a doctors note to be in line!!!

Doing it in a different spot today and only 150 people/cars in line.

Wow. 150 cars in line! That'll take forever to get up that line.

Well, not sure if it will be every Walgreens, but my little town of about 40,000 has 3 Walgreens and a Walmart Supercenter.  If all of those locations begin testing, I think they will be able to handle it easily.

There are at least 5 Walmart Supercenters within 15 miles of my house.  Walgreens are also quite ubiquitous. I can think of about ten of those in the same range, but I'm probably missing one or two.

Walmart and Walgreens were good choices.  If they are testing at CVS also, we have even more access.  Anyone recall if that was CVS's role?
