It goes fast, but it indicates the infections over the course of 143 days the U.S. has seen infections.  Note what the map looked like up until 30 days ago and what it looks like now.  No wonder people were convinced this was some kind of hoax! It makes me shiver to wonder what this map will look like in 30 days!

Thanks for sharing....what a cool map!  I see it represents my area very well, we have a very large uptick in cases right now (Virginia Beach area) rumors abound that we will be going to phase 1 lockdown perhaps...our governor does not play around.

Oh, God, Witchy, you know what that map reminds me of?  The Pandemic game, by Plague, Inc.  You start a virus or bacteria, prion, etc., you decide its characteristics, its symptoms, etc., And your job, as the bug, is to kill everybody on earth.  That map looks like the map of the world, as everyone starts to get sick and die, country by country.  And the entire time, you get a news feed, that tells you which countries are in anarchy, governments fallen, how efficiently scientists are working on a cure, etc.  Interesting but scary game.

I don't know the game, ViQueen.  But what I do know is there's going to be a bit more blue on that map this time next month, if states don't get their acts together!

Interesting to see the southern states affected,

 I believe that you in a heat wave in most states.......
